@@JA-wy1zv he makes them to order these days mate, I think it’s about 6 weeks lead time (don’t quote me in that) but it’s a decent product, worst is, then you gotta get it painted… more waiting 😄
www.typerkits.com I was speaking to a guy called Stephen. Honestly I’ve seen some other copy Mugen wings since, and I’m glad I went to Type R Kits the fit is mint. There was a bit of a wait for it, as they make them In batches. But all good things come to those who wait. There’s plenty of cheap shit on eBay. So choose wisely 😉😀
@@yardspeed13 absolutely brilliant thank you. You did an ace job with it. I’ve just bought my fn2 for my channel so Hondas are a new concept for me so I’m watching and subscribing to every channel that does fn2 content lol
@@DriveWayRay Thanks mate, theres loads of good channels out there. I try to upload regularly when time/money allows. enjoy your car bud. Check out FNlew and Cowabunga car diaries, they are the first 2 that spring to mind.... theres loads though.
These are 19” wheels. They were a Honda optional extra that could be bought with the car. I’m not sure if they were available world wide though. They are commonly know as ‘Honda Rage alloy/wheel. I think the size is 19” x 7.5J ET55. Lots of people replace them for small wheels as they are blamed for a harsh feeling ride. Thanks for commenting and watching :)
one of the best things about getting older is giving less of a shit about what other people think mate :D You won't regret it, i think Detla have a pretty good rep within the FN community. Hope it turns out well for you bud, they do look great with these wings. Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Just got my Fugen spoiler, just need to get it sprayed, how much did you pay for yours to be sprayed? Seems like they need a lot of prep, the primer is far from smooth.
Yeah I still have it, but it’s not for sale…sorry. onamissionltd.com/ these guys will have spoilers you can buy… but I don’t think a Type ‘S’ has the holes in the boot lid. You probably need a Type R boot lid too.
They should fit mate… I’d take the spoiler off and look inside the threaded holes make sure all the threads are good and clean. Same for the bolts. Also make sure the holes are aligned. Not sure where you got your spoiler from but some after market stuff is a really pain. Good luck with it.
Hi bud, I got it from www.typerkits.com/m-style-spoiler.html I assume they still make them. You might see that they have no stock, but I believe that’s because they make them to order. They are a great fit and come with the little badges of the correct size I was happy with mine. I think I paid about £370 I Can’t remember, give them a call 👌🏼 Thanks for the comment and watching 😃
No idea mate sorry, i do t think the type S has the holes to mount it. You could probably drill some, but it would most likely ruin the car… honestly I don’t know. Maybe you could buy a type R boot the same colour as yours and fit one?
The sealant is mainly for keeping water out… but obviously it does also stick the spoiler down. If I remember correctly the OEM spoiler has a bolt in the middle which the aftermarket ‘ Mugen’ didn’t have, so you effectively have less bolts holding it down, and since it’s bigger there will be a greater ’pull’ from the wing of the spoiler so all things considered I think it’s best to have the sealant. Otherwise you run the risk of water ingress. Up to you at the end of the day. I wasn’t keen on using loads of sealant either. Hope that helps.
Hi, your video is realy helpfull thanks for that ;) Can you tell me where i can find the 2 mounting pieces that are hold on the spoiler with the 4 bolts? I bought the same spoiler but i have a 1.8 so no type r spoiler and no mountings :S (I just have to drill holes like those in the type r but need those mountings ^^)
Hey man, thanks for the kind words, I appreciate that a lot. I’m not sure what bit you mean… all the parts came with the spoiler when I got it from TypeRkits. Do you mean the bits that attach the blade to the upright bits or something else? Sorry mate I’m not much help here am I?
@@yardspeed13 Sry for my English, trying my best ^^. I mean the metal piece that you unscrewed from your old typer r spoiler and you screwed to the mugen one. (Don't know the name of it ^^)
@@Foxxbe sorry mate I was being thick, nothing wrong with your English. It’s just been so long since I did that video, I just had to rewatch it to see what you mean. If I’m honest I’m not sure where you could buy them new, you’d either have to contact a breakers or buy a second hand Type R spoiler off eBay to get those brackets. Or you could try Cox motor parts. Good luck with it though, I’m sure it’ll look mint when it’s fitted
Yeah not sure what you can do with the Type S to be honest. My only suggestion is to maybe get a Type R boot lid so then you’d have the correct bolt holes? Obvs you’d need the same colour and have to swap the lock over. Sorry I can’t help much more than that.
I dont reccomend this method (fitiing spoiler not on oem typeR trunk door) this plastic glass thing brakes after 2 years of useing and brakes on each of drilled holes that can cause easy water access to the trunk. In standard civic model u dont have metal mounting specially made for fitting the spoiler, in this solution you are mounting nuts straight on the plastic glass, it vibrates generate some force when you drive or when you close trunk etc. If you dont want to replace this (plastic glass aquarium looking thing) just dont do it or buy typer trunk door. (Cables in typer and non typer trunk are diffrent! have that in mind too. Ive been there :/)
Maybe I’m missing your point due to translation. Are you saying don’t fit a spoiler to a non Type R? This video is how I fitted my spoiler to a Type R. It is not Intended to be an instructional video and it is especially not a instructional video for non-type R. Follow any video on RU-vid at your own risk. Don’t make assumptions about outcomes. For clarity… this method in this video on a Type R has worked for me. With no leaking or damage to my vehicle. If you want a type R… buy a Type R. Or buy a type R boot lid. Have a nice day 😃
Hi dude, thanks for watching, yeah they do look good don’t they? Honestly mate I’m not sure about them fitting the cdti, sorry. Best try one of the forums someone might know on there. My guess would be, if you don’t already a spoiler like the type R then it won’t fit. As this just bolts directly onto the original spoiler fittings. If you really wanted to you could buy a whole boot lid from a type R and swap it over, but that’s a lot of work just to get that spoiler on.
