I crashed my drone on a steep tree and brush covered canyon slope. At 400 ft AGL. Well 0ft AGL at the crash site. I had a rough idea where it was. But the battery had died not long after. So the "find my drone" feature on the remote wasn't an option. It ended up sitting there for about six weeks through some heavy heavy rains. I had no idea if Id ever find it. Or if I did. If it would still function. I found it. So after leaving it alone for a few weeks to completely dry out. It was time to test it. So I figured Id share what I learned about finding it. And how too. As I test it for the first time. I realized while editing, there were some secondary to telling the story and testing it things I could have covered a little more. So If you have any questions feel free to comment. Id be happy to respond. If you're here. You've likely lost a drone. I hope this video helps at least a bit. And you have the same good luck I had. Most of all. Patience and persistence is key.
