That's really important, I did a 10 mile hike without this technique and suffered lot of pain on my shoulder.

Hey I love the video and you helping out some beginners but I would recommend not putting on your shoulder straps first because that will make it so that the hip strap isn’t really doing much I would recommend tightening you hip strap first over you hip bone so that the middle of your strap is on the the top of your hip bone and then tightening everything epse

Huh, I was taught to tighten the hip belt first. Seems your way makes more sense.

Next time show people where to pack their things. you can reach loads of people, so please tell them put heavy stuff towards their spine, and light stuff further from their spine.

“Then I pick up the pack without blowing out my back.” There is a lot of truth in that. Many injuries on the trail happen more due to mundane things like this. Or leaning down into a creek with your pack on to fill up your water, then, trying to get back up and pulling your hip flexor, or, on your knees, putting in your tent stakes after walking many miles, because you’ve stopped for a while your muscles are tightening up, then you get up suddenly and blow up your knee. As I get older, I'm very aware of these kind of little seemingly innocent things that end up potentially ending your trip.
