hi lydia, i am probably not your normal demographic, being a muslim girl who wears a hijab but i've gained so many fashion tips and tricks from your videos, it's literally changing my life and i'm forever grateful. thank you so much, sending so much love your way.
Same! Also a Muslim hijab wearer but I found it life changing! Just wish someone could tell me how to pick the right colour headscarf with my outfits 😣
I like the buy less, buy better, lots of ways you can wear the same piece philosophy of this channel. "Huge hauls" videos on other channels confuse me.
You have quickly become my favorite Chanel to watch. You are such a classy young lady. You are truly a breath of fresh air. Thanks for the wonderful content. You seem to really enjoy creating these videos, and that comes through. It is such a joy to have someone like you on this platform. Keep up the good work!
I so enjoyed this tutorial. I may well have heard some of these tips in the past, but with your own fashion examples and advice, it has all sort of come together for me! I have already started to be a bit less impulsive, and am now enjoying planning my wardrobe choices better. I’m much older than you, but I’m enjoying learning to be more creative with the clothes that I have and in my choices. Thank you 😍
This is an historic event: the first Lessons with Lydia and the topic is just what I’ve been hoping for! Lydia’s process for determining what to wear on any given day will help me avoid “closet overwhelm” and decision paralysis! Great suggestion to choose footwear before clothing.
Amazing Lydia. It’s so refreshing to see someone with a real passion for their craft on here these days. You’re so informative and well read. Can’t wait for the next episode!
Thank you for this!! Here are my recos: (1) Pieces to invest (2) Capsule Wardrobe for Career Lifestyle (3) How to style with your jewelry (4) How to pair your clothing with your makeup
I love this series!! It is such a great idea as it is very niche and unique to you. It also enables you to build videos on a theme. Yay for Trinny and Susannah. I was also a fan back in the day and have learned so much about the construction of outfits to suit me as an individual. I am really enjoying your fresh take on styling and so much of your philosophy resonates with me.
I struggle to put an outfit together, not sure what suits me, what my style is. I always panic when im faced with choosing an outfit to go to a social gathering, I have never thought of starting with shoes before, this will at least be a starting point for me. Great informative "Lesson" thank you
Really loved this useful video with tips we can use right away. My favourite tip must be about long term plan. I like that you encourage people to shop their own closet and that its not always about buying new things all the time.
I just found you and I'm so glad! Every morning is a nightmare when I have to choose an outfit. I've been putting off educating myself for too long (I'm 42). I'm a secondary teacher so I would a video on sophisticated but confortable, understated sexy but not revealing, warm options for work. THANK YOU
Great concept Lydia....especially for young people that are studying or getting into fashion. Key pieces that you can wear from season to season and many different ways are a must....better for our pockets and the environment! Well done x x🥰
YES Fashion Photography and English! what a wonderful combo - your relaxed introduction to this brilliant idea for a fashion series has just confirmed my guess that you are a true professional and SO qualified to be presenting "Lessons with Lydia". I am sure these videos will gain you many more subscribers, and you SO deserve every single one. Your style is beautiful and your presentation skills are excellent - so enjoyable thank you x
Lydia. You are so spot-on when you say hey you have to have a long-term plan for your wardrobe. How right you are . I love the white shirt you're wearing in this video where did you get it from? Please let us know. Would it be possible to do a full Lydia Tomlinson closet tour? I am sure we would all like a complete tutorial wardrobe and closet. So we know what your closet looks like. Love pure xxxx
Lovely new series. Maybe you can do a lesson on understanding “Fashion versus Style.” Another request is how to tips to create your style either from scratch or reimagining your style after a life style change.
The concept of this is amazing. The filming in a documentary way is perfect for the theme. Even you're outfit fits the topic perfectly. Please keep these up, I really think they'll be the making of your channel! Xx
Enjoyed watching "Lessons with Lydia"....great fashion ideas! I do have trouble styling outfits, so you gave me some help! Thank you! Looking forward to next video!💕
Many congrats on your new series- it will be so helpful to so many. You’re so right about dressing for different moods- I’ve actually filled an entire wardrobe because of feeling in a different mindset virtually every day!! I do agree that is important to invest in some basic pieces that you can mix and match and know will not be a ‘whim’ of the moment. It needs quite a lot of self-discipline to make the right choices which I really need to do.It would be great if you could give some advice about how to minimise purchases which are seasonal trends and how to avoid fast fashion which is economic and entices us to buy things we don’t need. 💗
I was already loving you, but my love went to the next level when you said consider your audience and the event. In a time when people are "i can wear whatever i want", knowing the difference between freedom, respect and elegance is essential.
You possess a wealth of great information and I truly believe your content will always be fresh and never become stale. Looking forward to this series!
Hi Lydia I love your videos. They are always very nice to watch. I identify with you having been around women who loved fashion and always paid attention to details. My mother, aunts and grandmother. Your advise is GREAT. I hope it helps specially the younger generation who has lost the taste for dressing properly. Congratulations for your Great taste and wonderful attitude.⚘
OMG this was brilliant. I really found this very useful and cannot wait for the next episode. I found this really useful as I do struggle with what to put with what. I do live my fashion but do struggle from time to time. Really enjoyed this and very helpful 😘
Thank You Lydia!! Looking forward to implementing your tips!! Love the fact that you maintain yourself so professionally ( love the fact you keep ur hair so tidy) and well versed in your expertise...
LOVED this! Absolutely helpful. Thank you. Also, I have to tell you that I LOVED LOVED the book, The Garden of Lost and Found. Any other recommendations? Running out reading materials! So back to the video, this is so well done.
Great series! Thnk u! How ab: How 2look stylish n/or comfy at home in summer + how to style footwear n jewellery with clothes + dressin for an occassion 💚💛💙
Thank you Lydia. I loved this episode. I too, watched “What Not To Wear”. Can’t wait for episode 2. What website did you mention besides Pinterest, Instagram, (for ideas) I didn’t catch the 3rd one. Thank you
I love this series! Funny I was just reading about dressing for body types yesterday and that the fruit/shape method doesn’t flatter u as u are essentially trying to hide maybe your best assets. So I read about the kibbe method where he makes you make the most of your shape and your vertical lines. It was so interesting! The fruit method makes me look frumpy . I’m an inverted triangle and should make most of my skinnier legs and maybe wear an oversized shirt with skinny jeans kinda thing. Where as the fruit/shape method would say wear palazzo trousers to balance me out. But I look awful in those! I was pleased to find out most the 90’s supermodels were also inverted triangles or flamboyant naturals as kibbe would say!
Love your videos. It may be my computer but the music seems louder than your voice but I have ear buds in so that may be the problem. Congratulations on the new series!
Thanks for letting me know! In the intro the music should be louder but not through the video ! I tested on two laptops and it seemed quiet but will near this in mind. Thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️
Love this video ! I know what I’m missing ... plain black belt (no coloured buckle ) some good black sunglasses and good gold jewellery pieces .Can I ask where your rings are from ?
I'm a new subscriber here...you have great content. Your style is fabulous! Thank you for the style inspiration! btw..what is your blush in this video? it looks beautiful.
HI! Obviously you don't have curly hair, but I was wondering if you maybe had any advice to share with girls with curly hair who wear it mostly down? Sadly, not all clothes go well together with voluminous hair..
When I shop at Nordstrom I can’t help but devour the shoe department. I’m a hopeless shoe addict. But people always compliment me on my shoes. I think they make or break an outfit so I won’t apologize for loving shoes. I store them in their original boxes and take an instant photo of them and tape that photo on the box end . OCD? Maybe a little
Great step in your Evolution 👍follow you a while and take on and off in subscribing and wait for this step- hope you will do your likes by your own as in the begining - so you had remind thisea bit earlier
It always happens to me. I get dressed, put my makeup and then I find out I have no shoes to match my outfit. It's better to think of all the look beforehand.
I found two pairs of shoes that goes with everything in my daily wardrobe. One is a block heel nude sandal from Schutz and the other is a slip on espadrille from kanna. It goes with my dresses, trousers and shorts.
