Haha nice. It’s exhausting now, but gets easier once your nervous systems adapts. Eventually you’ll keep your weight in the seat and rotate more with your thighs rather than pushing so much with legs and feet.
Theirs no wrong way to ride unicycle or juggle. Eventually everyone develops proper form and proficiency. When I mess up, I laugh it off and record the mistake for later. Sometimes mistake adaption creates tricks, like sharp turns come from a recovery technique when you lose balance.
Are you the guy who rode around the world on a unicycle? how strong are those wheels? I'm considering getting a 36" wheeled bicycle (because I'm very tall) for bicycle touring/bikepacking but I suspect the wheels are very weak and trying to get spares in developing countries would probably be extremely difficult.
I don't have a 36er but with my 29er I do a single step forward while rolling the uni then I jump onto it as the pedals line up. It seems sketchy but once you get it down it works so much smoother than the standing mount you're doing here. But you're doing fantastic especially with all that gear! Happy riding!
