hei ruff im still in highschool (12 grade) can i ask you a question, if you start this self improvment journey back when you still a student what will you do?
still a student rn. in fact i have class in 2 hours from when im typing this comment. school really fucks us over with this and i think it really makes it have to sacrifice stuff. a normal person can work on fitness and finances. but a student needs to add in school to that. so most students arent good enough to balance all 3. even im not great enough to grow 3 things. choose 3: maintain 2. grow one. for me im maintaining my gpa at like around 4.0 maintaining my health and fitness and growing the channel. school rly fucks u over because u need to get home from school and continue learning bout ur craft. u need to work after work. this is how u will learn if u can actually be successful. school is like a 10kg backpack and ur trying to run. if u can prove to urself u can run with this backpack and make it far, then when the weight comes off, ur gonna sprint faster than the competition. everyone else in ur school will fall behind. the question is, can u actually put in the work? and thats for u to plan, schedule, calculate and execute. hope that helps.
no but bro drinking water plays a major role. Trust me like a few weeks ago i hadn't drank more than 3 litres in two days and i could see myself acting up, water = life. Trust the process, Trust the urine. Not only thy's urine shall be clear but ur urine will come into you and make you clear like a white guy if u know what i mean
1. Exercise every day (some form of it, sports, walking, running, gym, etc.) 2. Diet - Try to eat healthy, avoid fast food. (Maybe your cultures traditional food?) 3. Meditate everyday , deep breaths (5 mins or 30 or whatever, just meditate) 4. Sleep consistently everyday, same time at night and same time in the morning 5. Sunlight exposure (wear sunscreen tho) And ofc drink lots of water y'all
I’m 14, have terrible acne, and I’m just insecure with myself overall. I’ve given the acne cream a shot, but my routines never been there, and I think I’m gonna start trying to implement a more healthy lifestyle, because in the end nothings going to happen if I don’t do anything. This video really stuck with me, thanks for the help, it really gave me some motivation that went past 12 am 😅
@@alexknine9497 the problem with school and stuff is that for most of year I deal with jealously and all of these negative things that are so difficult to deal with until I just do something about it. I feel like it’s gonna better me, and although I am pretty insecure, I’m hoping to try and use that to my advantage as a way to give myself some motivation 🤞
@@Yngv. I’d say I’ve definitely improved physically and mentally. After consistent application there was some drastic change to my face, and I feel much more confident. Not perfect yet, but stuff is going well.
Hey man Im 15 and I have a lot of acne. I had gone to a camp where everyone had to sleep at 9pm and wake up early and all my acne was gone in those days. I came back home with clear skin and had it for a week, next week my sleep schedule messed up and all of it came back worse than it ever was. My acne is my worst insecurity. It makes me look so unhealthy and I am now that I think of my sleep schedule. This vid inspired me to fix it. Great one thx
go to a demertoligst and take accutane or isotretinoin. Its what I'm on right now you should try research about it. the pill is very good for severe acne
@@G88CUBER he already said in his comment that his skin was good when he had a proper sleep schedule? Why take meds for a problem you can fix by changing the time you sleep lol
Yo Ruff, you’re probably not gonna see this, but you’re actually such an inspiration to me bro. More than Hamza I would say and guys like that because we’re around the same age (I’m 19 and I’m assuming you’re like a year younger or something like that), so I just find you more relatable. I remember finding you when you had 600 subs and you made the “disappearing for a year” video. I watched the full thing, checked back a week later and that video blew up! We also have similar personalities based on how you carry yourself on camera. Lowkey I feel like we would be mad good friends if we knew each other in real life based on that. Keep doing what you’re doing bro. You didn’t go from 600 subs to 20k on accident. I take inspiration from you and hope I can take my self-improvement channel to your level soon In shaa Allah. Much love brodieee - Hayyan
After watching on youtube for years about self improvement, you literally summarized everything i have learned. Like rlly, being healthy isn't that pricey. On my childhood days, i have a healthy body because as a child, you sleep more, eat on time, and do activities outside and away from phone. My mom also doesnt want me to eat junkfoods. Now im older, i do everything that is opposite from the lifestyle i used to have. It resulted to acne and chubby body. Knowing isn't enough and it takes time to heal the body in natural waym kinda frustrating at times that you wanted to be better as fast as you can because you're not getting any younger.
Another thing that's important to understand is that a healthy body is a beautiful one. Don't get to caught up into the making your body look like someone else's just be the best that you know you can be, that is what is beautiful (to me atleast)
this was definitely the most helpful and motivating video ive ever seen. im trying to change my mindset, mentality, and lifestyle before hs but didnt have the right amount of motivation or confidence but this definitely gave that to me :)) its exactly 12 am rn but everything will change 9 hours from now
What you’ve said in the video pulls me back to the same conclusion I’ve made for myself now that I’m reaching my senior year. All 3 years I’ve spent on aquatic sports. My acne rapidly returning as soon as my sleep schedule made applying cream nonexistent. It’s a reflection of my inconsistent sleep schedule. Muscle development is rapidly slowed with lack of sleep. Cognitive function slows with lack of sleep (Definitely not good for completing assignments). This video just adds another effect of sleep deprivation for me. I guess it’s just more of a reason for my final year to be something I make my best.
People are criticising too much. We don't need glow ups to have great looks, great physique or even personality. You just have to be yourself. It just takes time and believe in yourself.
Can you maybe make a video on how you deal with self improvement/ working hard but still enjoying life and doing fun things? If I cut off all my friends that are not on self improvement (all) and just work 24/7 I know I won't be happier. I don't think anyone on their death bed would say I regret not working more. I know you still have to work hard, but how do you find the balance? Love your videos, keep going💪 Edit: spelling
It is the 3rd video I’m watching on your channel, and honestly it’s so rebuking and refreshing at the same time (which is good). Due to college my lifestyle got a little rough, and because of that some of my insecurities got worse than before. While watching the video, I realized many things and I’m excited for the changes in my current routine. Thank you once again for sharing valuable stories and inspiring speeches 🎉
So true, people often go to the gym and think that’ll fix everything and then they make videos making fun of how all of them have body dismorphia, however working out alone isn’t the cure. Imagine it like this, your entire life goal is climbing a tower with 100 steps, however you haven’t even taken the first step yet. Working out is the first step, eating no surgery products except sometimes a few fruits is the second step. A better diet the third step. Stop fapping the fourth step. Fixing your sleep schedule the fifth step. Using the internet less and maybe going off of it for a couple of days the sixth step. And the more you climb the tower the more happy you get and the more your enjoying your life and everything around even the simple things. Also never take drugs of any kind even steroids, in order to climb this tower there’s no easy way out, take the first step by working out since this is the step that gives you the most energy. Been working out for 2-3 months and I’m a completely different person already. More social, more dominant (taking back to people that are disrespectful and even bosses), more energized and so on. In order not to let company’s use us like a flock of sheep we have to stay strong and build a strong foundation
You may or may not see this but I believe your contents are changing lives, audience to audience. Personally, your words enlightened me when I was a rut. It was a loop watching RU-vidrs saying this habit is bad, so don't do that. But, your content was clear, it was straightforward that to get out of a rut is simply to find reason, "Why are you doing this?" and seek purpose, "Why will I do this?". Your content isn't burdensome for a young student like me, it's clear and concise. It isn't coated in this overwhelming pressure to perfect what you do, to be like them. I'm so thankful to stumble across your channel, and keep making content. As much as you're helping yourself, you're helping others. Kudos to you!
While I agree with some points in this video I have to disagree with some other ones. Sometimes even a healthy lifestyle doesn’t work, I was a decently healthy person, got some sun, slept really good sleep schedule, ate really good healthy food, admittedly didn’t excerisce as much but that was due to some other factors. I still ended up having really painful acne and other conditions. Being really healthy is great but I don’t think it’s a cure all, even for acne. It definitely helps, but I also do think that sometimes there’s other factors like genetics and such that you just cannot control. Now don’t get me wrong I still think this is an amazing video and I’m glad it works for you! I’m sure it’ll help/work for many others as well, I just also think that it might not work for everyone.
this video is just how to be healthy, there’s no cure all to acne and although this can help, it’s still partially in the hands of genetics. and honestly, you should probably trust your dermatologist more than some random RU-vidr.
We have an expression in Albanian, and it goes like this "cha ha goja tregon boja" which roughly translates to " what goes in your mouth (what you eat) will show up on the outside (face body, mindset) so guys, listen to my Albanian grandparents. Eat your veggies and fruits. Don't be a pig, eat, then sleep. Your butt needs to sweat. Whether that's exercise, school, work etc 😂😂❤ and change your bed sheets!😐🫵
i just saw a few of your videos and you are already an inspiration to me! You must be a strong-willed person. Keep up the good work! -11th grade student
I'm so glad this video popped up because it's all I needed to get back on the grind. I actually did all of these a few months ago like eating healthy and exercise but when you have a sweet tooth it's SO HARD to not give into the cravings. So when I went out with my friends, we ate some ice cream and after that I just kept on craving for more and more and now I feel so bad everytime I look at the mirror but hey I just need to get back on track and I know I'll feel better again...
I used to never pay attention to my sleep, after watching a couple of your vids, I started waking up at 6 and getting more things done. Even though it’s only like a couple bits of revision and some exam questions, it gets done. Although I’m glad I’m doing enough exercise already, I would be in a way worse state if it wasn’t for that.
hey ruff I just want to share my story and what I did to change my life for the better. For context, I used to be very skinny, like stick skinny, and hella short with long hair, so many people called me emo. My height was 152cm and my weight was 39kg (this was 2 years ago). THE BEGINNING So it all began when I was 12 years old (I am now 14). I was an above-average kid in school when it came to IQ, but everyone knows me as the emo-quite kid that was smart, probably because I used to like the color black, always wear a mask, and don't like cutting my hair. My face is filled with ance because I average 3 hours of sleep and eat a ton of junk food. My body was also not fit for any type of sport since I ran out of energy quite fast. WHAT I DID I wanted to change my life for the better, so I started to fix all my past problems, like sleep, diet, hygiene, exercise, etc. I started to join more clubs, compete in more events, not wear my mask, and do more presentations to build my confidence. I also spent all my money to buy myself a home-made gym with dumbbells like in your video and jog 2 km every day. I started to get a good diet, ice my face, drink more water, clean my room, and fix my hygiene. THE RESULTE After 2 years, my height is now 178 cm, and my weight is 59 kg. I am at the top of my class, have gained a lot of muscle (0.03% body fat), am very athletic, and have discovered a new hobby in drawing. I have also gained a good reputation and am deemed by my teacher to be the ideal student for all others to follow. I am now confident; many girls have confessed to me, and all my friends are shocked at my outstanding glow. I am the captain of all of my clubs. I've tried new sports and found out that I am very good at archery, basketball, football, rugby, etc. I am now living my life, have started to talk to a girl, and have many new friends.
Oh my buddy you have a really good mental what makes me feel glad for you! I'm actually 20yo hmm well my childhood was a really troubled thing, like with family, friends... social and my own mental issues, but now all the things are getting better since at the pandemic time i had enough time to just do nothing to literally reset my brain that was really tired of everything, and now everyday i'm improving my routine, my life overall... i just want to make sure you know that you are some of persons that are helping me in my journey even if you are in the otherside of the world!! Cheers everybody! 🔥
Hey Ruff, my name is Hashim I just recently found your channel and its so cool to be finding someone else from Singapore who is also on self improvement. I'm 17 this yr and I'm JC actually. NGL, ur right, school isn't really a fun place especially when everyone is worried about the more minor things like ' my tiktok vid didn't get that many likes' or 'i didn't get those taylor swift tickets'. Its really a toxic environment man. But I'm still tryna grind and work thru it on my own. Got on other good friend from school now whose also on self improvement which is great. Id definitely love to connect with you sometime !
I agree with you. Sometimes we need to be practical. I tried just to add the habit of sleeping early, and I can say that my skin got smooth. I found out that being stressful and having no enough sleep creates more acne on your face because of the stress hormone called "cortisol." I wish I have known this sooner...
This vid really came to me at the right time. I'm facing the same problem too where I can't stand looking at myself in the mirror because of my body image and my really (I mean a really) bad acne. Right now I'm in the process of working on it, and that your words inspired me to take action, thanks man :)
I love this video because in younger kids (including me) I think our moms telling us to go to bed isn't enough. however, when there's an influencer or someone that we look up to giving us this advice, kids like me will feel more compelled to actually chase these goals.
thanks a lot, i havent started it yet but this video reminded me how important it is to stay healthy. Every other video just talks abt what product they used on their skin
Yup it's all about your choices man i really fckd up during the pandemic but now i feeling much better than ever i feel great and awesome. Sometimes you just gotta do it no point in waiting, looking to the perfect routine or thinking and thinking sometime you just for it and along the way you build up your own perfect routine, fix the mistakes you've done in your day or routine and when waiting you actually waiting for something while thinking how to be better tomorrow, instead of waiting for nothing and thinking what your gonna do without doing it
“i have a *little* home gym” me not even having a stable doorframe to do pullups on: (dont even get me started on equipment ive never even heard of that stuff)
I mean it's all about taking care of yourself, i took my time on simple skin care since i never had bad skin, i was blessed with healthy skin right off the bat, but hair was a disaster, i took my time on hair care products for my hair type, since i'm a curl boy, so i brush my hair in the shower, shampoo and condition 2 times if i haven't washed in a week (curly hair doesn't need to be washed as often, but i do it twice a week unless i'm on a break) I took time on what clothes work for me, baggy pants for example since i consider myself skinny. Baggier clothes help me with that insecurity, i took my time and i look better than before because i spent my time on very small details most people maybe won't notice about me, i plucked my thick brows to look more normal to my standards, got rid of facial hair, moisture for the skin, drink water often, it's all i drink or tea, i take longer in the bathroom to get ready, maybe 40 minutes if i'm in a rush. I would say small details can make a big difference, i decided to gain weight too, went from 50 kg's to now 61 kg's, i'm now considered more average than skinny, and from here i plan on working out my body. all this over the course of idk, a year? and oh! if you wear glasses like me, i'd suggest doing research on which are for your face shape, i picked round golden ones which fit my slightly round face!
In this case there 100% are shortcuts and products that will work for your skin even if youre not necessarily living very healthy. I had the exact same problem as this guy but when I got my acne pills perscribed it completely dissapeared for good and havent had any since. And mind you I barely go outside at all and dont do any exercise basically lol and I also dont eat healthy. Just goes to show that theres no one way to fix things and that everyone is different. So what im trying to tell you is that its very important to try your options and perhaps different products because something that didnt work for someone else can work for you. And also skincare routines and just washing your face will 100% help and if you keep it up will remove acne even if youre really unhealthy, this video kinda makes it seem like you need to change your life completely just to not have acne which really isnt the case! Anyways hope yall stay safe.
@@ItsMeRuff ngl , im following your discipline tutorial and it's amazing that it's working to a certain extant. The way you explain things is simple yet effective. Thank you You earned a sub.
I realized this a couple of days ago too. The things that is manifesting in our own lives is just the accumulation of all previous actions, habits, and attitudes about life. If you see yourself constantly as this ugly, depressed, lonely, unlovable f*ck. Well, chances are, your actions for the past couple of months - or years - have been those of an ugly, depressed, lonely, unlovable miserable f*ck. But the brilliant thing about is that we can change it ever so slightly everyday. Until we feel it in our bones that we are beautiful, that we are happy, that we are surrounded by wondeful people. That we are lovable. Who would've thought, right? Loving your content, bro. Stay consitent. You are doing great!
P.S. even after you've "done it" and achieve your goals and habits that you've once strived for. It's okay for you feel bad, more often than you'd like to admit. But just look at all of what you've done. :>
@@laetwewe3661 I don't think me commenting will change your mind. But, hey, let me try it anyway. You can blame others and give them your power or you can take responsibility now and take all the responsibility and hold all the power. No matter how hopeless you think it is, you can change, and change for the better.
some truth in this, but not everything is in your control. acne can certainly be out of your control. it's not all lifestyle. a lot of the time people get sick for no reason other than genetics and bad luck. a lot of life is just rng whether people want to admit it or not.
Your videos are so real because I'm a very active person and I firmly believe that if you exercise more and have a good lifestyle then your health will be good as well.
Everything you said in the vid is 100% true infact my story is kinda same to yours.. acne skinny body and slowly it all fixed once i stopped eating junk food, exercising and touching grass. Now im working on getting a good body physique. But hey we all know the pandemic the lockdown the no touching grass chucked us all we just have to go back to the normal lifestyle we used to live like
As a guy who's soon gonna be 17 , i find your advice quite right and helpful , it was not that i dont have the knowledge to be better its just that i didnt take the required actions with consistensy so imma do that as soon as i get better from my viral fever
The first video that did not make me question my existence we need people like you, Who are providing actual factual shit online and not wonder land jutusu. Thank you brother
when im sitting here and watching, it got me, that ure totally right! I remember, like 3 years ago i was sleeping good, omst of the time in the same hours, and then i hadnt any problem with acne, so yeah, this guy knows his stuff
i realize that if you were glasses then the frame style can also impact how you look, picking the right style can either make you look better or it could make you look worse
W vid man, that lifestyle reflection thing i wish someone told me sooner also im trying not to take it too literally cuz i do eat healthy nd work out...just not as often as i should cuz it's hard to stay consistent after making a bit of progress
just because something worked for you doesn't mean it'll work for everyone. no amount of lifestyle changes were going to cure the deep cystic acne coating my back/chest/shoulders/neck/face, and i tried them all. accutane is my only shot at a long term remission or cure. also, for some people acne is caused by genetics, which you don't have a say in.
Ok Acne, its just natural, dont burst them tho or pick them or pinch them, they irrate a lot ik.. but just bare it for a few years.. its horomonal change in you. And yea as he said, stay healthy guys and girls.. cuz acne worsens if you dont look at your health.. And dont fap too much guys... You are loosing active energy in you.. just exercise a little and start your journey at muscle building.. :) Acne doesn't go away, so to tell you youngins! If you dont take care of your health, it will come back.. use it as an indicator to keep your health in check 😊
Back when I was about 17 (21 now), I had a shitton of fatty pimples and I didn't know what I was doing wrong. It took me until June of 2022 to realize that I was eating unhealthy, had shit sleep and shouldn't have showered with shampoo & in hot water for too long. Since then I've sworn by only washing my body with water with limited use of hot water and my hair only with cold water. People looked weird at me when I told them about it, but later people didn't care and my body settled with it and produces much less oil than it did before. It's a funny experiment to try: Shower two days with pure cold water and see how your skin feels after the shower. Do the same after that for two days with a long hot shower. The difference is remarkable. The feeling of getting out of a cold shower and your skin still feeling a bit oily is a blessing
honestly my lifestyle has been really shit for the past few years - eating unhealthy, not drinking enough water, smoking and doing bunch of stuff and whenever i watch u, i just feel so embarrased because i know what im doing is wrong but i just really needed that reality check
