I can answer what it is because i have been eating this throughout my life this is a commonly known as a diakon but it is actually chinese in origin. This is a chinese turnip also can be called a radish. It is a root vegetable and is pulled up like any carrot, turnip, or radish. It is commonly eaten in Asia. The flavor is nothing special, but when cooked it becomes soft and absorbs the flavors you put into it. It can be eaten raw though i recommend to either cook it or pickle it.

I'll be honest with you: there are SO many different fruits and vegetables in the world, and SO many different types within each fruit and each vegetable (e.g. look up how many types and sizes of bananas there are!)... that I legit was thinking - even tho it definitely looked more like a cucumber in the video - who knows?
