Hi everyone! this video is really different from our usual videos, its about my breastfeeding journey, and how I got my baby to rewatch again after exclusively pumping and bottle feeding her for 3 months! I thought it was impossible but I did it, and if you are a mommy struggling with breastfeeding, I hope this video can be some bit useful for you! I'm so thankful I found this and I can't wait to try because my daughter is 2 1/2 months old and hasn't latched in 6 weeks causing my milk supply to decrease significantly regardless of pumping so I'm praying she'll latch on again as I try all you did.

Thank you so much for posting this. I am most definitely going to try that method ASAP. My son is 7 weeks old today & he only wants to bottle feed since he was in the NICU due to complications so I’m exclusively pumping and feeding it to him in a bottle. It gets very tiring since every time I feed him I have to pump each time after & get no time to do anything else. My day consists of feeding him and pumping and it’s definitely stressful on me. I’m glad you were here to help me in this time where I’d thought to give up. But I’m definitely going to keep fighting and trying since I have been for this long already.

Crazy this video came up. Literally yesterday I tried switching to physically breastfeeding instead of exclusively pumping and sadly he won’t 😩😩 I went through the same thing like it was super painful at first so that’s why I started pumping

Dangling the boob is something I figured out myself and it made so much sense contrary to anything I was taught at the hospital. They in fact tell you not to bring the breast to the baby but to bring baby to the breast. At the end of the day it's what works best for mama and baby. Thanks for your video. It validated a lot

May I know if your baby is successfully latching on now? I have the same problem as my 4mo baby doesn't want to latch at all and prefers bottle than my breast. I think I did upset her by causing trauma to force her to direct feed 😭😭😭

You are exactly right! I lost my milk supply. :( I barely have any coming and I have been trying to increase it since she was born. She latched here and there for 4 months but now she prefers bottle. If I had more milk I would try your method. That’s a really good idea. Thanks for sharing!

thank you so much for watching!! you can do it!! seeing them cry makes you want to feed them the way they want to be feed (bottle), but I realized the more I went back and fourth, the more it confused my baby and she became much smarter about it too ;) . Im sure your baby will relearn BF and it will be great in no time.

Hi my breast milk supply is really low and I feel like it’s only my baby can make it produce more but we stopped because it has been the second time I got sore and cracked nipples. After the procedure of tongue and lip tie he all of a sudden stopped latching with me and he just turned 2months yesterday. This is really inspiring, I will try your advices soon. Hope he will latch better this time.

Good Job mama!! I'm on this journey right now after getting my baby's tongue tie released at ~2mo. I have so much anxiety before every attempt and it's so disheartening when he doesn't latch (which is p much every time). Thanks for sharing your story. Want to report that my baby started to latch with a shield about 3 days after I watched this video and then about 4 days after that he started latching without the shield. It’s been about 5 weeks now exclusively nursing my son!! Thank you for motivating me to push forward!

@@fayetoday oh this is reassuring for me as well: we had a tongue tie release with our now 4 month old (she got it at 3 months) and she was nursing really well right after, but we got intp a routine of giving her a bottle every night before bed plus one night a week shed get a couple more bottles when being baby sat. Suddnely now she kicks and screams alot when laid cross cradle to nurse (and only nurses side lying half asleep during the night now). Hopefully we can try the nipple shield and she'll be into it again

Thank you soooo much for this because my 2nd son just stopped latching at 1 month old randomly and my 1st son never had these issues and i feel like my 2nd hates me 😭 so trying the bed and pillow thing! I know he doesnt hate me bc the only way he will sleep at night is right next to my face but i feel like we arent bonding as well aa we did when he was latching and not getting bottles.

Wow our stories are so similar. I just gave birth to my daughter on March 2nd, I have trouble getting her to latch too for whatever reason so I exclusively pump, and when she was in the hospital she also had jaundice!

Thanks for this!! My baby had an emergency heart surgery on the day he was born. Thankfully he is healthy now. I have been pumping milk for 3 months and freezing them. My OB told me that breastfeeding includes pumping in a bottle then feeding. I don’t feel so bad after all. I breastfeed and supplement with formula.

Hi! of course, I am definitely not shaming at all for not breastfeeding. I am just sharing my ways on how I got breastfeeding to work because I really wanted to achieve it. I personally struggled a lot with pumping (it really exhausted me, and it is definitely a lot harder than I thought) I was completely over pumping since I pumped every 3 hours everyday. That is one of my reasons to why I really wanted to breastfeed. I thought/think it is a lot easier/convenient. I hope that makes! Definitely not shaming.

Oh my goodness thank you! My baby is a week away from turning 3 months. I’ve been exclusively pumping after 6 weeks of triple feeding, trying to get him to latch but then getting mastitis 2 times so I gave up! I’m so happy I found your video. It’s the hope I needed to try again! You mentioned great points about baby being uncomfortable being cradled, that’s my baby too so the position you explained is soooo helpful! Also, what did you do when the baby didn’t completely empty? Did you pump the rest out or let your breast stay a little full so it adjusts to how much baby eats?

While you give breastfeeding another go, id suggest not to pump for that day or two so your milk is nice and full for your baby when eating! don't worry about your supply deceasing, it will be fine! you got this!

Thanks for this testimony. It gives me hope that my nearly 2 month old can relactate. I saw in another video that to put baby back on the breast, it is best to have established a good milk supply first. Did you have a very good milk supply when you weaned your baby from the bottle? And did you exclusively breastfeed her after these 3 challenging days?

Thank you. I am trying to get my baby to take my breast milk rather than a bottle. My supply is pretty much non existent and I’m working to increase it. I just want to breast feed him again and get him off formula 😩 it hurt so bad on the beginning and I think it was my nipples because they aren’t very pointy so I had to use a nipple shield when he was first born. He will three months in a few days and I’m hoping he will take my breast again!

Just because I had this dream of breastfeeding and already before we left the hospital the nurses had completely destroyed my will and power to continue trying… it was horrible! But this time around I am 14 years older and no one will take my journey away from me! Plus this time around I have a supportive husband, makes a whole difference to my ex complaining that the kid was hungry and I should just give up 😮 nope, this time around I am doing it with love and support

Omg...ive been roaming thru utube videos about how to get your baby to latch again. And i found this video. My baby is one month old. My breastmilk come after 3 days and my family fed her from a bottle. But after my breastmilk came, i got monkeypox and cannot breastfeed him for 10days.... and now ive been struggling to get him to latch (my nipples are flat also). And he's close to my mom bcoz i cant hold him when i get monkeypox. It is hard to bond again. I wanna try your way to get him to latch again. I hope he will😢😢. So stressed for days...😢😢 Been using that nipple shield for few days. Im afraid he wont latch ever😢😢

Thanks so much for this!!! My premie is now four months and im trying to have the patience for her to relearn latching... we also had jaundice with her and nicu stay and then it was dairy intolerance so she went to soy formula now I have been pumping and maybe getting 8oz a day so I know my supply is not where it needs to be but im hopeful that we can get back to basics and do breastfeeding.... crossing my fingers that our story has a happy ending too!! It would be amazing to connect I am struggling with my 3 month old and few weeks also have a slightly low supply but want to use the sns system. Just want to know how it was when she was crying and still went on later? That’s good. I’ve done similar before no bottles. But the day later made a mistake to weigh her and the breastfeeding team made me feed bad about her poor weight that week. Thank you for sharing. My baby just started a nipple strike at 12 weeks and he turned 3 months yesterday. He was bf fine but with a shield. We have never been able to transition off so now that he’s resisting the breast, I also feel like giving up altogether. Sorta doing the syringe method but squirting w a bottle. May have to try the syringe.

Hello , I had similar issue in my baby’s 2week we had to give her bottle but we stopped doing it immediately after a week.. she latched but we have a shallow latch I didn’t realised it till we went for second month appointment , She had less weight gain.. Since then she is again on top feed and breast feed but she is not letting me correct her small mouth opening.. she cries and stop sucking if I push my breast in her mouth a bit more Any suggestions???

My baby cries alot when I try to put her on the breast. My nipple is inverted and I'm so depressed and sad. She plays with it in her mouth and suck for like 3 secs starts laughing sometimes it cries really hard. I've literally have sleepless nights because of this I cry more than her I think because it really breaks my heart that she isn't latching. Bottle wasnt really a choice it was something I had to do because I had a caesarean birth and there was a problem and I had to be readmitted at the hospital after like a month. So she was at home with her dad getting the bottle. It's been hell since. I really want to breast feed

im so sorry to hear all that you've been through!! I totally understand how you are feeling... I never thought breastfeeding would be this stressful and hard. I would honestly say to do what's best for you and your mental health. Your baby is healthy, and is being fed and that's all that matters. Now its your turn and your mental health comes first! If you really want to breastfeed, id suggest to take away the bottle completely, going cold turkey for 2 days or so is what worked for us.. but if you don't want to go through the screaming, .. don't worry about breastfeeding, like I said, no matter what, your baby does have something to eat, whether its from the breast or bottle it doesn't matter :) you got this!!!!!

Thank you for sharing this! I just tried latching my 13-week old after exclusively pumping and not trying to nurse her since she was 5 weeks old, and she latched on! I just have a question- how did you ensure she was getting a deep enough latch? It doesn't hurt when baby latches on me but I noticed her lower lip is not flanged out and so I'm concerned she isn't transferring a lot of milk. I pumped after and compared how much I usually pump and see that she is currently just getting 2oz out when usually she drinks 5oz bottles. Thanks for your input!

I’m so glad she latched! hmm I’m sorry, I’m not an expert so I wouldn’t know how to fix the latching, but since it doesn’t hurt, that should be a good sign! I heard that pumping and breastfeeding is completely different when it comes to measurements or how much a baby is actually feeding, so I wouldn’t worry yourself out with trying to measure your ounces! (I know, it can be really stressful!) The doctor always told me that as long as she isn’t loosing weight or hasn’t lost weight at the next check up, your baby should be doing great! Keep it up!!

ahh my daughter doesn't breastfeed anymore now that she's 2, but the use of syringe is very simple, i promise! you just need to put it directly next to the nipple, and aim it the same way. Slowly release milk so it isn't a shock/surprise! i hope this helps!

Did your baby spit out the milk at first? I just started this today, one feed so far, and she’s spitting everything out (I’m using a syringe and will try a medicine cup too). I’m trying to be calm and patient and hopefully she’ll start drinking. I don’t want to give up but she has to drink or it’s just wrong. I know she’s not going to like it but I don’t want her to starve.

Hi! Did she spit out milk when you were feeding her with a bottle? When I used the syringe, a lot of it did end up outside her mouth but I continued to try. She eventually latched on, and especially if she’s hungry she will. As long as your child isn’t under weight, I don’t think she will starve. But of course, use your best judgement! You got this!

@My Uilani exactly I am in this situation and I wanted to try but giving up always due to his screaming and to get some sleep for myself.. now that he is 4.5 months old and he is even more stubborn and rigid than ever.. my breasts are paining due to pumping for all this time n I really wanna him to latch.. is it possible now in his 4.5 months??

I think it's possible!! as long as you don't give in.. (and if your baby is at a heathy weight of course) babies will eat when they really need to, and so your baby will give in when he is ready. Thank you for watching!!

Yesterday it was too tiresome but achieved it after 24 hours but with all the pumped milk in my storage I want that to go for the kid until he nurses well because scared for loss of weight. And since morning 4 times he latched but not that good. Can I give him bottle at night when he will be in deep sleep? I tried giving by spoon but it spills more than he takes. Pls advise.
