I really did think I was getting a deal on this AirPods Pro 2 from Mercari, and that is exactly why a person should always do some research online about buying products. I'm well aware of the counterfeit market, but what I was not aware of was the presentation of fake goods in such perfect "new" packaging. Of course, now I know. And it was all quite interesting. And now my kids are fighting over who gets to keep the fake earbuds...well, earbud singular, since only one of them actually works.
