The simple way = study consistently for many hour every day for years and years. There's no way around it.
@Alessia_Santeramo
@Alessia_Santeramo 3 месяца назад
Yes! Unfortunately even if what makes you improve is a "simple" recipe (tactics, tactics, tactics + practice & improving from your mistakes), improvements takes time (it took me many years!!) and it is not easy
@maxkho00

There is. I went from 0 to 2500 in just 3 years without studying at all. The simple way is to be obsessive about understanding every idea you come across.
@weevil601

@@maxkho00 " I went from 0 to 2500 in just 3 years without studying at all. " No, you didn't. Unless you're talking about some web site somewhere that has its own rating system, in which case they might as well tell you your rating is 10,000. A real OTB 2500 rating is not something you will ever achieve, no matter what you do. You just won't get there if you started as an adult. Online ratings don't count. Sorry. It's too easy to cheat online, and there are many, many people who are willing to cheat anonymously.

I started playing competitive chess at 7 and I left chess after becoming the second best player of my category at 12. The guy who came in first in the city was far above me (he was already competing with some of my teachers haha). I think that what you coach told you at such a young age (forget about memorizing everything in the opening) was a great pice of advice that I wish someone had given me. Btw, your glow-up between 12-13 to 14-15 was wild!

I have to say, there's something about your expressions that are incredibly funny. also I'm around 1680 ECF (roughly similar rating with fide) and in 1 of your other videos you mentioned capturing towards the centre (axb3 and hxg3 ) where you referred mentioned this upgrading the pawn, this is honestly something I had never heard explained before, always capture towards the centre unless you have a good reason, yes we all hear that but the explanation helps.

I bet when you looked back at your games you noticed that most of your mistakes was because of blunders. I won 11 games in a row because of a blunder checklist. I even beat someone that was 1015 ELO with it. My biggest win so far. CCT (Checks, Captures, Threats) wasn't enough for me. I spent $100s of dollars on courses looking for the missing piece of the puzzle. I thought it was tactics at first. I studied them every day for months and I wasn't improving cause I kept freaking blundering over and over. Once they stopped my rating began to climb and thought to myself that if I just play solid and wait for them to blunder I'll win. That's my new mentality and it's working.

I had two week period this month where my rating was no lower then 80 percent. My goal is to at least only make one blunder or no blunders. Sometimes I don’t get the miss yeah I’m not letting some take my queen with pawn I’m moving my queen but somehow it’s miss. I should say I played one FM and got destroyed in like 10 moves I wasn’t made my game rating was still like 80 percent they were just 90 percent. I should say I was nervous playing such high rated player
