Yet another awesome video! Love the way you combine the interesting content with the perfect amount of commentary and the good sounding tunes in the background. Absolutely top-notch quality content! I hope you and your buddy had a great time in Asia 👍
You do the best reviews, gabe. Bring your friend along more often. Thanks for the Clark base tip. We Australians are being pillaged by airlines to fly business internationally so finding clever hacks to fly premium is the way to go ❤ thanks again and look forward to the next flight review.
7:58 Clark Airport kind of reminded me of flying Ontario/LA Airport(ONT) in California instead of into LAX. It’s an hour east of LAX but millions of people still live near ONT and it’s a very calm environment in comparison. China Airlines flies an A350 and a 777 to ONT, I’d love to see you review that flight if your itinerary allows it 👍 thanks for more great videos and tips 🛫
Thanks for the video. I suggest you try the middle seats on the dash 9 next time and the window seats on the smaller one. The middle seats on the dash 9 are great if you want to talk and interact!
True, I did consider that! But I knew we'd be wanting to just sleep on the -9 flight, so we did it the other way around. Next time hopefully I can get the -9 on a daytime flight.
5:00 this approach looks similar to San Diego Airport flying level with tall buildings. Have you ever flown into SAN with a window view out the left side to see downtown before touchdown on 27? I’ve done it a bunch and it feels close to the buildings on a 737, so I’m hoping to get a widebody perspective soon.
Damn, you are hitting home! I plan to go to Philippines this Autumn and Qatar or Emirates are the most direct. But I did CRK to ARN, bang! now it is 1000 (rt) 1500 (o/w) USD for my dates! As a Filipino friend says: "Shet" The Luzon airport situation is weird. I was in NAIA Manila many years ago and recall it was a mess capacity wise in many dimensions, nowadays I heard it's just Gridlocked but my destination is Cebu further south anyways. The Have Clark and are building the New Manila Airport north of the City, I guess however the 1000USD Economy return will be for me... I know that is their base price and hard to find any other deal either with Google Flights or so; it's funny to see Qatar's booking vary prices and giving very weird 2 stop combinations despite the time remaining. I think the algorithm is picking me lurking 🤔 Perhaps the key is to book close to the flight date in low season?
Interesting! I think booking for the autumn at this time of year can be tricky. Airlines will look to pick off some people who are eager to book kinda early and so might accept higher fares - in many cases I've seen fares actually drop and/or better routings open up closer to the date, after the summer peak is over and airlines realize they won't fill the planes at those fares.
@@airedition It seems so, played a bit with the app and I see pricing variations that I didn't expect from such a carrier! ITA Matrix by Google gives all base prices and combinations, so I saw it's the app/site just playing with me. "Don't forget your booking" On reopening the session, it shot up 80% 🤣Caveat emptor The ME3's actually have a great model. I wouldn't bother with a 16h direct business flight but for Economy that stretching legs in Qatar must be great 😄 It's interesting that you didn't get to board with a jetbridge
@@airedition Interesting, researching DOH it does seem that there aren't enough Gates for the incoming/outgoing flights that they have using that hub model they have. All of those within a few hours in about the same time! That, and I was surprised to learn that during many layovers there is as well transfer security. Thought that airside could be for most journeys on the same airline+ticket. But seemingly, the same thing makes it busy at DOH that some flights do skip going through the transfer area. Signals I haven't gotten out of Schengen and EU in a long time...
