I explained in this video very briefly my overall high school background and time at Wellesley College. I know some of you may have more specific questions, so comment away if you have any! :)

I was just accepted to Wellesley and this video helped a lot! I'm definitely going to subscribe for all your other videos too because I need help with makeup on top of deciding which college I want to go to ;D

Wellesley has demonstrated to be very good at selecting and educating wonderful young ladies:) If I were a woman, that is where I would have hoped to have gone:)

Thank you so much for making this video!!! I'm in love with Wellesley! Just a few more questions; how did the alumni association help you, and what clubs were you involved in?

Hi Tina! Sorry for the late reply. So glad you're loving Wellesley! I was mainly involved with North Korean Human Rights (ANKHR) and Christian org on campus through my local church in Boston called Symphony Church. I wouldn't say the formal alumni association helped me out. It was mainly me reaching out to alums through LinkedIn, asking them for a phone call, getting advice, and forming a mentor-like relationship. It's really up to how you make of the resources. But majority of the alums I came across were so willing to take time out of their busy schedules to talk to me.

I'm planning on applying to Wellesley, and I'm thinking of doing an interview. Any advice or information on how the interviews work? Also, do more introverted people deal well with the atmosphere at Wellesley? I think it would be a great school to help me gain more confidence and learn to project my opinions more. Thank you!

+Ella Jenke I didn't sign up for an interview during my application process, so I'm not quite sure how it works :( Most interviews are similar though. They'll probably ask you questions about what made you apply to this specific school, what your passions are, etc. I'm normally more extroverted, but definitely became a lot more introverted after attending Wellesley. It really depends on the individual and how you cope with stress - wouldn't necessarily say introverted people adjust better. Whichever college you end up in, make sure you let yourself breathe and find ways to make deep, meaningful friendships :)

Thank you so much for making this video :) Wellesley seems like a really tough school! I've always wanted to go there because of my woman crush Soong Meiling haha. Can I ask how the classroom experience was like? The size and was it more hands-on or lecture based? Thanks so much!!

unni annyeong-ha-sae-yo! I just discovered your channel pretty recently, and I enjoyed this video (As well as your instagram haha ;) I'm going to be applying as a transfer app to Wellesley College soon, and am wondering if you remember any transfer students that went to Wellesley/experience with transferring? thx!!

+tarte6 Hi!!! So glad you found me :) There's not a lot of transfer students in Wellesley to begin with (maybe 10-15 per grade), but I do know that all of them are pretty close with one another. It's not going to be an easy transition but Wellesley in general is a struggle bus for everyone so you're not alone :) I'd say try different organizations on campus such as ethnic clubs, acapella groups, religious orgs, etc. I'm excited for you though!! You'll learn A LOT.

Hi. :) I was wondering, did you apply to Ivy league schools? From your experience, what is your opinion on them/ what was your impression about them?

Heeeey! I love this video sooooo much!!! I wonder if you can explain a little bit about how Wellesley supports international students. Thank you!

+Donna Gan Hey - I'm a current first year from Hong Kong at Wellesley right now :) I think Wellesley is getting better at supporting international students here. The international student house (Slater) is a gorgeous building that I go to often for ramen / a quiet place to work. There's Harambee house, which is a center for African American and African diaspora students that I know my friends have found a strong community within. I think they're building another building for some compilation for minority interests (sorry I'm not totally sure what it will entail) that will maybe get finished soon? Apart from that students do hold celebrations for things like Chinese New Year, Diwali, etc. that are pretty well attended. Wellesley has a pretty big international population as compared to many other schools I feel, and a good portion of the US students will be first-gen Americans / have had international experiences etc.

I'm actually really young: twelve years old *boom* . But, I have a dream to get accepted into Wellesley. I hope to be able to be accepted because I've always admired the idea of empowering women to be a better version of themselves. 😆

Hi,my name's Nancy and I'm planning on applying to Wellesley. It seems every student I know who attend Wellesley are President of Student Government or leaders in some organizations, but I have no position like that. I believe I am definitely an independent- spirited person and do not like to follow others. Do you think Wellesley will value me in that way?
@chunbuns
@chunbuns 7 лет назад
+Yushan Chu Hi Nancy! That's a great question. Don't disqualify yourself just because you feel like you don't have certain boxes checked! make sure you communicate your leadership and confidence as an individual through other parts of your application such as essay. Most important thing is to show your character, personality, and passion in your application.

Hi there! I'm going to attend Wellesley this Fall semester and I am concerned about being Christian on such a liberal campus. How did you feel? If you wanted to say your opinions would you feel comfortable doing so? Also, how large was the Christian group at Wellesley? Thank you so much!
@chunbuns
@chunbuns 7 лет назад
I'd say the Christian group at Wellesley isn't that big. It also varies by each individual on how seriously they take their faith, but I've made amazing friends at Wellesley who challenged me in my faith and character. So if anything, don't be discouraged by the lack of community there. That'll be common wherever you go. In terms of your concern being in a liberal environment, that won't go away until you die haha b/c the world we live in will always have different views/opinions/philosophy/theology. What helped me maneuver through all this was keeping myself in the word and making sure I was plugged into a church, surrounded by a Christian community. Wellesley will challenge you in many different levels but don't be afraid of changes :)
