the moment you've all been waiting for.... let me know if you have any other questions!! love u alottle instagram: emilahrssen tiktok: styledbylahrssen
I have a friend that is soo into fashion and i keep sending her links to your tiktoks and channel because these are awesome! Hope u’ll go far in this because you deserve it all
This makes me so doubtful I can’t draw close to that 😂and I’ve always wandered how ppl come up with idea tht are not accidentally a copy or look a like from anything? I feel creative and was thinking of switching to design inside of merchandising but now I think I’ll float back to merchandising 😅
Tesharra Alexus theres so many options as to ways to go into fashion besides just designing! there’s media, merchandising, management, advertising, exhibition stuff, publications/journalism, etc. so if drawing isn’t your thing and you really wanna pursue it, then look into it! :)
i am really into fashion design, but i’m more focused on the sewing aspect of it and directly making clothes, not designing them. is that still fine if i want to peruse fashion design as my major
This is very informative on all the requirements! I graduated high school in 2020, took an education hiatus for a lil bit, and now I’m ready to get back and rollin.. F.I.T has been a no - brainer from me bc i love fashion + art and the combo is just a yes from me. I took a technical class in my senior year focused in fashion design so I have an entire portfolio put together already, I just am struggling with the best way to apply without being in a structured classroom with guidance… if any one has any tips / the best people to contact I’d love to hear about them!! 😊
RU-vid is a really easy way to learn, or there are even tiktok they are helpful :) seeing machines are also pretty cheap (a lot under 100) or somewhere like ebay/craigslist for cheaper
love this video! few questions: do you need an AP portfolio?/Does it help? Could i still get in if I can't afford to go get a portfolio review/take a class on them? It seems like a very expensive application process:/
G Schaub oh absolutely you dont need to go to the portfolio review at all!!! its just i only wanted to apply to FIT so we really did the most in terms of making sure id be accepted. you dont even need an AP portfolio, it’d look good, but it’s not necessary! all they look for is talent!!
did you go to FIT right after you finished high school or do you have to take another class before at another college? also after you graduate FIT do u have to go to a university?
WAIT omg im from venezuela too! i assumed you knew spanish from the way you pronounced a certain word while describing your portfolio i moved from venezuela to texas
Loved the video! Also i live in london but want to go to fit - do you have any more info about international students? Is it a lot more expensive? Thank you 🤍
they only have simple placement tests, basic math & english. its nothing crazy! im sure a generic one would help if you really needed. you also take them once you’ve already been accepted so dont stress too much
18:49 I get it ... I am currently a Parsons Design and Technology student and yes for our first year it is required to take these art courses that may or may not be related to what you want .... I am currently trying to transfer to other schools hehe ......
Your videos are amazing, needed to ask you that if I want to do fashion business management in fit. What is it like? And what kind of portfolio do they require for this course?
