Hey, I’m planning on going to Taft College for the first two years and then transfer to one of the UC or CSU schools because Taft has a transfer admission guarantee with these schools. Any advice? Also which community college did you attend? Cheers
Best of luck, it helps to make sure you’re taking all the proper coursework for transferring and to take any extracurriculars that relate to your major. Get as many good grades as you can on your major department courses. I went to Diablo Valley College. Hope this helps

Maybe I can give insight because I went to DVC and got admitted to Berkeley (haven’t committed yet). DVC really sucks socially but I think it’s good academically. TBH I don’t think DVC prepares me for the rigor of Berkeley.

I have a question.. when applying to UC schools as a transfer student .. does going to work full time and showing you can have good grades & work full time does that factor into their decisions for admission?😊
Definitely! I heard UC admissions put that in high regard since it can be a lot to balance both working full time and doing college. Shows your work ethic and responsibility to do both and still do well
@@kaye. Can I ask if the final GPA to be submitted can be chosen between department gpa or cumulative？Is it like you can choose whatever to show them？（just that in my transcript i saw that it has all the grades together in one page）
