This is how I managed to get my first Software Engineering Internship at a company called The Trade Desk! I'm currently studying Computer Science and so getting tech internships is kind of an expected thing at this point, but it was a bit more difficult (and painful) than I initially imagined.

Technical interviews luckily aren’t as much of a thing here in Germany. Most software companies go by hiring people that are team workers and fit the spirit. Most stuff you do on work can be learned, being a good person can’t.

You gotta have some projects mate. Build at least one small project (language doesn't matter) and add some cool features to it etc. then you can talk about your experiences in an interview and speak about challenges/things you learned and stuff. the biggest factor is giving a shit about the subject matter and also being able to convey that.

Do you get to choose your language for the technical interview? If so is there ones that are better than others? Like using c to show you understand pointers and memory management or is it just a language set by the company

So for my interview I had to choose between Python, Java and C++ if I remember correctly - however, I think they may accommodate you coding in C if you ask them about it beforehand (I just imagine it's not a very common request lmao)

In most cases it is, altho I'm fairly sure some internships won't require it (i.e. at startups)

The math is pretty tough but different than high school math. With enough practice and will power it is doable but you should have some interest for math.
