Thank you for the information. But the reality is, you should have a basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. I gave an interview at a company, and they told me that Figma is just a basic tool. They didn't even look at my case studies and said that I should have knowledge of front-end languages like HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
I have recently completed a 3 months bootcamp for UI/UX. Currently i have only one case study in my portfolio as of now and i am currently working on the second one. I have started applying for some internships role.. but I don't think its working out. I was hoping if you could suggest me on how many estimated case studies should we have in our portfolio as a beginner before applying for roles. Also apart from case studies what else can we add in our portfolio that will differentiate it from the rest?
have you done user testing ? how real customers you have spoken as part of research and have you tested your prototype with real stranger audience ?. can you describe the design process in short
Sakshi, Try to make your portfolio on a website. Its very easy. If you know nothing use a tool called Wix. That way gives you a small advantage over others when talking about differentiation. Second thing is to build up your network via linkedin. Show recruitment team that you are the best and you are the one they need to hire. I believe 2-3 case studies are more then enough as the recruiter does not have alot of time to review. Just keep in mind. Try to improve your case studies and polish them as much as possible. Hope it helps and all the best :)
I think for an intern position this is an overkill. You can always tell the recruiter you will learn while on the job and thats what intern positions is for.
@@ux.kashish yes but i will be able to tell this only if i get to talk to recruiter..i keep applying on job posting sites but my resume only doesn't get shortlisted. So i don't get the chance to talk to the recruiter itself
@@ux.kashish Yes i am planning to make my portfolio on framer. I am currently completing my second case study and my next step is to make my portfolio on framer itself.
UI/UX does involve front end coding. Because there is a very few companies who will not expect front end. Mostly coding is expected. A little bit of HTML, CSS, JS but you can also learn a tool like Elementor for Wordpress sites.
@@sameerhussain2579 sorry but I would have to disagree with you here. UI/UX is separate all together domain then front end development and you are not expected to code in UI/UX. It’s just basics of front end serves as an add on and nothing else.
Maine figma seekhna shuru kiya hai ek saal isko acche se seekhunga bhi mera yeh sawal hai ki hum apne portfolio mein kya apne personal projects daal sakte hai? Aur internship ka agar mauka mile toh internship kab karni chaiye hume?
Sir, i have redesign other website with proper explanation and understanding problems in their UI , i redesign with the solution and i post that on linkedin and twitter. will Learn in public and doing this help to get an opportunity ?
Most important thing should be your Portfolio on point. With solid 2-3 case studies and good CV. Rest is just add ons which always helps. So don’t just focus on public posting too much but improve your portfolio as that is the thing that would help you get into a role. Hope it helps :)
Sir, ek company jo USA mai hai UX designer ko $60,000 salary dee rahi hai , usi company ne agar indian ko hire kar liya as a remote worker to wo use $30,000 me hire kar le, to ye to Win Win situation ho jayegi na dono ke liye ?
Yes ofcourse if you can crack one. But it comes with headache of night shifts and also International clients/companies do know the rates of Indian Workforce and they take PPP in consideration.
@@ux.kashishmeans if they are paying $80k for a Role in their country and for the same role they might going to pay $30k (example) to person working from India remotely , am I right ?

Bootcamp can really help you learn quickly. But doesn’t assure any job same as design degree doesn’t assure any job. With that said, So you can get job easily with practice and working on your skills.
@@Rohitkumar-hk5in you can. But I would recommend to learn English. Kyuki alot of times aap foreign clients ke sath work karoge. So it’s advantage to know English language.
