Hey, needed update information after three years. 1: Language certificate requirement is fixed now and also the list of eligible institutions or it still depends on the city whether they just take interview or certificate. Btw, I live in NRW? 2: I also started my blue card job e.g. in March, but my blue card was issued in mid of May. It took 2.5 months to get appointment, they told me to work on my student allowed 120 full days till appointment as I was changing my status from student to BC. So my 21 months will start from march or mid of May? I am afraid if I go on appointment and they say your 21 months is not completed :( 3: When you recommend me to apply for appointment as it now take 1.5 month to get appointment, should I apply for appointment 1.5 month before my 21 months completion or I can only apply for appointment after I complete 21 months?

Thank you for the point about different cities having different requirements. I cannot stress it enough. Even within the same office, two immigration officers can ask for slightly different documents. If you feel you qualify, just go there and apply. I know someone who got his PR (Niederlassungserlaubnis) after just 16 months on a blue card because he already had B1 and had already been paying Rentenversicherung (Penson insurance) for 6 months as a werkstudent (working student), before he started his blue card job.

Salaam. After receiving my blue card, if I got to Pakistan and stay there for a month or two, will that time be counted in the 21 months or 33 months period required for PR? If so, how long can one stay outside Europe without the tye worry of exclusion of that period from the pR requirement?

One more question. Do I have to wait three months to submit three months salary slips along with blue card application? In the blue card form it also asks if I want to apply residence permit for my children and family. Now tey are still un Pakistan and have not applied for a visa yet. Should I wait until they come here or do I include them in my blue card residence permit form already?

Can you explain a bit about when you said " Blue card and then PR which entitles that we are no longer connected with the company and we can do job wherever we want? That means Blue card as long as you hold then you are fixed with the company and if you lose the job then you have to find a job within 3 months else you have to go back, if one has PR then he/she will be safe? The requirement from Blue card to PR could you explain a bit please?
@DesiInWonderland
@DesiInWonderland 4 года назад
Well Bluecard is a limited Visa and with that you get a green paper where your employer name is written which means you can only work with your employer and if you change the job then you should inform ABH and they will issue you the new green paper. As it is a limited visa which is linked to the job so if you lose your job then your visa can't be extended as you no longer have the job. This is not the case with PR, with PR you are not linked with any employer so even if you lose your job you can still live in Germany. And take as much time as you want to find a new job or start your own business...

I am planning to apply for Niederlassungserlaubnis for me and my spouse after 21 months (i.e on 27th July 2021 , on this day I will complete 21 months of stay and working in Düsseldorf). Just to give you a quick background : I came to Düsseldorf on 27th October 2019 and started working in Düsseldof. However based on the appointment availiblity for Blue card, I got the Blue card and the date issued is on 17th January 2021. Since then I am living with the Blue card in Germany and working as an employee with IBM. Me and my spouse are having German language Telc B1 certificates. I also have a 6year old daugther going to Grundshule. 1) I would like to know the list of documents for applying for Niederlassungserlaubnis . 2) Please let me know if my eligibity for 21 months starts from entry in Dusseldorf ( 27th October 2019 ) or from the date issued mentioned on my Blue card (17th January 2021) ?

Thanks for the video. I have one question which you already explained that it depends on the city. I am here in Germany from 2015 Sept and I did my Masters in 2.5 years with doing part-time jobs side by side in my field (IT). Then I started my full-time job from May 2018 - onwards. I got a work permit from the start and didn't change it to a blue card (though I was meeting the salary requirements). now I am planning to change my job and want to get Blue card but now I am confused whether I have to start over again or my 28months of fulltime work will count? I am planning to get PR on A1 because it's not possible for me to do B1 for now as I am putting all my efforts into my job skills (IT). It would be great if you can give your opinion or guide me :) thank you.

@DesiInWonderland
@DesiInWonderland 3 года назад
Well this is a very rate situtaion so I really don't know what to expect in this case. I would recommend that ask your company that you need a letter which clearly states that you got hired due to yourvalue experience in the field and the degree of such field is not required. this way, even if foreign office create an issue then this letter can help you get around it, because you can argue that when I work here in GErmany, I pay taxes and indirectly I will be contributing to the GERMAN system and even though you wil be small part of that system but still company hired you on the basis of your experience and they couldn't able to find anyone with the degree or such experience. In short, if your comapny supports you then you can get a visa easily or you also hire a immigration lawyer for it if things go south

Individuals who have held an EU Blue Card in another EU Member State for at least 18 months may enter Germany without requiring a visa. They have to apply for an EU Blue Card in Germany at the immigration authority that is responsible for the place where they live within one month of entering the country, They may take up employment once the EU Blue Card has been issued. www.bamf.de/EN/Themen/MigrationAufenthalt/ZuwandererDrittstaaten/Migrathek/BlaueKarteEU/blauekarteeu-node.html Same rules apply when you go to another EU country..

Did you also appear for naturalization exam to apply for PR? Information is not very clear.. some articles says only A1 language certificate is required after 33 months and some articles says I'd also need naturalization certificate (which states, applicant holds enough basic information about the country). As I understand, naturalization is needed when applying for Citizenship only. This is getting bit confusing.. is naturalization certificate needed if I am applying for PR after 33 months or not?
@DesiInWonderland
@DesiInWonderland 3 года назад
Actually I already did integration course that's why I don't have to but I heard that in some cities the Foreign office specifically ask for naturalization exam (einburgertest). I heard that they change few rules in March 2020 and now according to that. You need einbugertest for PR but that is completely upto the person who is handling your case... sometimes they can exempt it ..

Yes you do, but how much you need it depends on the visa office. I have seen people with only 3k in their account and they still got the year extension for job search visa and I have seen cases where Visa officer asked them to show atleast 6 to 7k euros... but usually they are not that strict... You can ask your seniors from the same city about it... Another ideal scenario would be that you have somekind of mini job contract and then have around 2-3k euros in your account...

Depend on different factors, did you complete your masters from Germany ? If yes, then usually Phd Students don't get blue card because they are not earning Bluecard salary. So usually they get normal working visa . Sometimes, they get a researcher visa, it all depends on the type of contract. So in short, depending on your Visa type, you can apply for PR after 24 to 36 months.

but sometime ABH also create issue if you didn't pay enough Renteversicherung. As you were doing student jobs that means that you might not contributing much.
