People use coconut oil for "oil pulling". I saw a video that said it is used for extracting the toxins from the body hence the oil pulling technique. And that's why our hair is dry because it's used to extract. Some other people also noted that when they break out in hives, rash or have an allergic reaction, coconut oil is used to soothe the skin because of the properties. Idk, I plan to do more research on it.
I used to do the oil pulling method with coconut oil. But it can also be used with other oils such as sesame seed oil. From my understanding the oil pulling concept works due to like attracts like. Specific oils in general are able to pull toxins and harmful bacterias from the throat. I believe its all due to how you are using the oils

I love coconut as a prepoo, and then oils high in ceramides for the length of my hair (jojoba, grapeseed, safflower, sunflower, ect). They strengthen my high porosity hair. My ends looove vitamin e. So, like castor oil, rich in vitamin e. Loves my ends. Great sealing oil. And then for growth, I'd infuse my fave herbs in some grapeseed oil or avocado oil, or even sesame.
Is that the only oil you prepoo with? I have a big bottle of coconut oil in my bathroom but I always forget to use it when I prepoo. I'm High porosity too
