In the middle of my second podcast right now! (It's called "The Millennial PhD: Creative Survival in Academia & Beyond"). Definitely challenging to get a foothold, but these are really helpful, honest tips in this video!
This video was super helpful! Ive had my mental health podcast for 2 years now, and as someone who struggles with their mental health daily, it's been hard to figure everything out. Finally getting the hang of it though. My podcast is my passion. Ideally I would love to be able to do it full time, so I sincerely appreciate you providing all of this wonderful knowledge on here. Thank you so much Katie!!!
Great video! Consistency is definitely a big key, I'm glad you pointed out that every needs to allow grace for times when life happens and you can't produce consistently. We're all human, and many of us are doing it all on our own without production teams! I relaunched my podcast recently, switching it up from a solo show (I was majorly on the struggle bus) to co-hosting with my sister. It's like night and day and I think it'll make a big difference in the listeners' experience! It's called Creative, Happy Life on Apple Podcasts. :)
We just started The DrewBrina Podcast / youtube as a therapist and nurse sharing therapeutic tools for a holistic life and marriage! Thank you for the helpful tips in your video!
Consistency plays a vital role in podcast success by increasing downloads and attracting a loyal audience. I was pleasantly surprised by the emphasis on engaging with reviews for improved visibility - it's a smart strategy. After learning from your content, I'm inspired to implement better SEO practices to attract a wider audience. Thanks for the valuable tips!
Just celebrated 1 year of podcasting " The Strong Sunflowers" , we just started the podcast in spanish "Los Girasoles Fuertes" and its a whole new monster. Thank you for these tips !!!
Really fantastic tips, thoroughly enjoying your laid back but professional style. I've been thinking about starting a podcast for some time now; I'm a safari guide and thought it would be fun sharing tips and experiences about wildlife and travelling in South Africa. It's really for fun but who knows, with your tips and suggestions it may grow to be interesting for others.
Hi Katie! Great video! Love all the insights and tips! I am preparing for my first podcast for my day job….a wellness podcast for cancer survivors. My first guest will be with a cancer survivor who quit her job after her diagnosis. She has gone on to write a book about women in leadership and has started her own coaching business 🧡
This video was great! Thank you! I am a voice actor and have a literature podcast called The Cultured Bumpkin where I read classic poems, essays , short stories, etc, and I will definitely be implementing, or continuing to implement everything you mentioned. Thanks again Katie!
Katie. Thank you for these phenomenal tips. I will be implementing many. I already do Live Broadcasting by myself & with a guest. I am preparing myself to also add a Podcast Platform with self & guests.
Great tips I’m thinking about starting a podcast I’m buying equipment right now. Question I have about which type of MacBook you use and how much Ram, GB, Storage you use?? I know most people use Mac computers for editing. Just need to the right memory for podcasting.
I launched "Bad Attitudes: An Uninspiring Podcast About Disability" last summer and am really hoping to grow my listener and download numbers this year. I wanted to tap into the disability community, as well as people with disabled people in their lives and allies to the disabled community to focus on what it *really* means to live as a disabled person in the 2020s. My focus is on educating listeners but to do it with a mix of humor and sarcasm, without turning our stories into inspiration p*rn.
Hello Katie, thanks so much for sharing your insights. I just rebranded my podcast ("Designing Wellness Podcast") and are recording the episode for my launch in 2023. These were great tips that I will be implementing. Thanks again :)
Fell in love with your values the second I hit Play. Thank you so much for this as My podcast is wonderful and as we are growing its nice to learn the ins and outs." Zen AF Podcast." shameless plug, lol. I just purchased a Tiktok audit as well. Can't wait to learn more from you and your team.
So helpful, Katie. Thanks. GuyShrink is up and running for six months. We talk about the stuff that keeps a guy awake at night. You've given me some solid advice for advancing the cause.
My favourite story about podcast promotion is the guy from BRAD NICHOLLS Podcast - he mailed eggs wrapped in layer upon layer of bubble wrap to 10,000 people with a link to his podcast on Spotify 😂
Thanks for this great info. I am midway in recording and editing a murder podcast. Wondering how to find advertisers to approach - and when to approach them (only after 10k plays?)
Love the atmosphere of this video. I've been thinking about starting a podcast for spiritual/metaphysical community. Think it would be cool. Thanks for your video! 💜
I'm doing a business podcast solo just sitting down and talking about topics that come into my head called business & entrepure chat by sarah and in doing a second podcast solo at the moment on general chit chat called ' Chattin' with sarah over coffee'
Awesome! I'm excited to be on this journey of podcasting and growing with it. My podcast is "Red String Connections" and it's about human connections and life lessons, my own as well as all the cool people I have met while traveling to different countries and them telling their life stories/life lessons. Your video is super helpful, I am going to implement these practices. :) it's super fun and I'm happy to be learning through this.
Thanks for the advice. I am currently revamping my podcast and youtube channel. I am looking to making it more professional. I have a podcast and youtube channel called: True Crime Past and Present.
My Best Friend's an Engineer is a podcast for women in STEM and other male dominated fields (: Our current goal is to achieve 500 unique listens per episode!
Looking for feedback :) My podcast is called Just Life & Lessons Learned Do y’all think that’s too long for one to remember? Also what does the title make you think the show is about? Thank you in advance! Also thank you Katie for creating this type of content 🤍 it’s been helpful throughout my creator journey!
I'm hosting a podcast called 'The Big Sister Show' where I share various tips and advice for self-development and self-improvement. These tips are be really helpful. Thank you!!
How did you get 1500 downloads in a week???!!! I post a new episode, with a guest, every week, send an email out about it, post it on my socials and have my guests do the same!!
THANK YOU for what you said about consistency. I tend to get burned out easily and consistency is hard. I've been making content since 2014 and trying to grow my channel more in the last two years and I also started a podcast in January. It's hard when social media isn't your job and stuff comes up, I always feel bad and hate that I can't be more consistent bc motivation is hard sometimes.
This is by far the best video in podcasting I’m currently thinking how I approach releasing weekly episodes and your codes have been incredible in helping me sort out my thoughts
I’m doing a soloshow for a mental health orientated podcast for us young adults and everything we encounter as we navigate life, called Encounters on our planet. Thank you for the tips
Hi Katie, thanks for this video, great tips. I’ve just started my podcast Mompreneur & More. I’ve been following you on RU-vid for a while, really appreciate your content.
I appreciate what you are doing. In 2020 I started a podcast for restaurant, bar and cafe owners. I interview owners (and chefs) to inspire others into action! Grow their restaurant. I love being the catalyst, but am still having a hard time gaining 1. listeners 2. reviews (which of course go hand in hand). Youve given me some helpful SEO stuff that i will now put into action. If ever you want to interview someone who is running a pod, and you can give in-the-moment help, I would be happy to be that guest : )
Proud of you for taking time out for you and also keeping it real with us the listeners. Our mental health is very very important! I always share that sometimes we are the most forgotten person at times…. Take care and keep it up
Great tips! I know building a podcast audience can take time. I'm super focused on quality content and meeting my commitment of a weekly show with my new self-help podcast, Your Bounce Back Life. Thanks for the advice!
Super helpful information. i've started a podcast 'Breaking the Browndary', where we discuss stories of South Asian Milennials & beyond who go outside the conventional norms. Going to take these tips on :)
Hey Katie! Thanks for the video. I have a French podcast on books, which is kind of a niche but we've been able to secure 30 people listening every week. It's not that much but we don't know how to get out of the niche? Do you think we should switch to English and potentially lose some of our audience members in order to grow outside of that niche? 🕵️♂️
