Thank you James..the offset panels stay pretty cool as well 🙏 The burner has kept us warm through a Scottish Winter and a Norwegian and Eastern European Winter too..wouldn't be without one 👍🔥❤️
Hi Joe, two of the feet have bolt holes to secure.. you just have to position where you want it, mark the points with a marker, move the burner again for access and drill the holes for the bolts. From around 6:37 on the timeline, you can see the bolts i used and also the job I had drilling through our tiles..it was tough. Once the holes are drilled, position the burner, drop the bolts through and fit the large washers and nuts underneath.. Hope that helps.. 🙏
Hi, do you have a link to the flue damper that you got coming out the burner? Looks very neat and a great addition to the flue pipe to slow the burning down.
Hi it certainly helps, yes.. The damper is from direct flues. Here's a link to it for you. Hope it helps 👍 directflues.co.uk/stove-pipe-vitreous-4/damper-unit-4-inch-matt-black
Thank you 😊 the tiles beneath the stove measure around 400mm x 400mm. The stove corners are around 50mm away from the copper surrounds, which are then spaced around 12mm away from the concrete boards, to create an air gap.. Hope that helps.. Thanks for watching 💜👍
Looks cracking, I’m installing one into my tourer, and was interested in your “parts list” for the flue installation, any advise or reputable products would be a great help.
Hi Beth and thanks for watching.. I bought the majority of my flue parts from this company. directflues.co.uk/stove-pipe-vitreous-4 They have a good selection and were easy to deal with. The parts aren't exactly cheap and came in above the price of the stove, to be fair. If You have a fairly straight run, then things become cheaper, but every joint adds up. I found that if you buy from a couple of different companies, then the postage also kicks in, whereas if you go to one company, the cost of delivery stays quite static for extra weight, if you follow me..I hope that makes sense.
Thank you. The silicone piece is a Masterflash high temperature flashing. You can get several sizes (No.3 to No.9) and which you buy will depend on the diameter of your flue. Usually when you're buying, most suppliers will be able to advise which would be most suitable. Take care..
Where did you buy your flute? Just got myself a mini cyclopes myself (and Im really looking forward to that first fire in the van) But i have a hard time finding flutes here in Sweden…
Hi Gustaf, the flue was bought mostly from online suppliers, here in the UK, although some parts were from Amazon. (I'll add the links in the description) Thanks for watching and good luck with yours. They're a brilliant little fire.
The stove was around £240..the flue cost us a little more, but only because of the bends and different sections I installed. If we had managed to install a straight flue, then costs would have come down considerably. Thanks for the comment 👍
Hi..it took four months or so, from ordering..they have quite a waiting list, I believe.. Lovely stove, though; so glad we bought it 😁 Thanks for watching 👍
I like the look of the stove better than most of the other mini stoves but that handle on it is just ridiculous, why is it so big and sticking out so much
I know what you mean and it concerned me at first, but we've not caught it at all, so it's getting left alone. I was quite prepared to tweak it if we had, though. I would think that it could be altered in manufacturing, if so desired.. Thanks for watching. 🙂
