I have stage four ovarian cancer. It would be nice if at the end of this video, they would have mentioned that Anne passed away in January 2024. I think when they fail to mention this, it makes the whole thing misleading. Anne wasn’t misleading, she was sincere and she believed with all her heart she was gonna beat this horrible disease. RIP sweet lady.
God bless you Prayed for your healing. Do you have a prayer warrior team praying for you? If not, call your local churches and ask them to put you on the prayer chain at each church. See you in heaven, if not before...if you are also a Christian.
I just came across her video and find her passing so sad. She was so positive and strong. Deepest condolences to her family and wishing her daughter the best with her health moving forward. 😢
Most Drs just want to rush you out the door and go to the next patient! There is so much malpractice and negligence out there it's sickening. This ladies life was drastically impacted by all these doctors misdiagnosed. Every single one of them should lose their license and be held accountable for their stupidity.
A lot of times I wonder what kind of grades my doctors earned in medical school. They are taught 'standard of care'. More focus should be on "do no harm". (I imagine a lot of doctors are busy-as we all are- with work demands, family and finances. The more patients they can schedule and see, the more that adds to their ability to pay off student loans, cars, homes, kids, vacations, etc. )
I am so glad you spoke about quality of life being personal. I am an RN that worked in a LTC. We had a resident that was placed with us due to paranoid schizophrenia. He was pretty stable. He was a smoker. He started having lung problems after COVID. They took his smoking privileges away. He would ask all day to go smoke. He was placed on hospice and still asked to smoke. I advocated for him to be able to smoke. I know it seems strange. I remember the meeting we had with all the management and I said he should be able to smoke and everyone balked. I told them that this gentleman had nothing to enjoy. He didn't watch television, he had no friends, he had a guardian. The only thing he looked forward to was to go out and smoke. I told them no one can tell you what makes your life worth living, I don't get to decide that for them, they don't get to decide that for me, and we shouldn't be deciding that for this patient.
My sister went to the hospital for two years getting X-rays and they would tell her she had a lung infection each time she ended up in the hospital with coughing and back pain, then one night she threw up half a bucket of blood ,before ambulance got her to the hospital they did a M.R.I. only to find out she had stage 4 cancer gone very bad,she only lived 2 months after finding out.Tomorrow March 25th 2024 will mark 9 years she has been gone.I miss her so very much she was only 62. I lost my mom two months after i lost my sister, she went to bed right after my sister died and never got back out she passed may 24th i miss them both so much! I pray they find a cure for Cancer.💔😥🙏
Thank you for sharing & I am so very sorry for losses. I pray time lessons your pain. I lost my mother to colon cancer age 56. I was 22 yrs old. Time has helped me however I miss my best friend to this day. Take good care 💕
My brother died of stomach cancer in 2002. He was aged 38. Because he was relatively young he was constantly dismissed by various doctors. Finally, and out of sheer desperation and exhaustion he phone called cold a surgeon he had been recommended. He saw the surgeon the next day, and upon having something as routine as an endoscopy, a tumor was discovered, the size of a grapefruit. Stage 4. He was given' a small number of months'. He died almost three months to the day of the prognosis. My parents died grief stricken. Grief over their loss and what could have been but for the negligence.
I will definitely ask God why the hell are we all suffering on this rock called Earth? In my sleep I had a dream and heard a voice saying. EARTH? You are in hell.
Thanks for doing this. I had non-cancerous tumours removed several times from my colon years ago. My doctor never said to get a colonoscopy after several years going to him. I was the one who brought it up. Stage 3 colon cancer. Treatment was successful.
I was diagnosed with lung cancer in December 2023. I never smoked and used to run 10 miles a day. The cancer was discovered in three nodules in both my lungs. Like Ann, my doctor put me on Tagrisso, which is a targeted medication. I am thankful I found Ann's video story.
@@debrachan1899 I've been on it for about 2 1/2 years now. So far I've adjusted to the side effects or they diminish. Like your husband, my tumors are stable. Best of luck to both of you.

@@anna_m59 I live in Southern California where the air quality is poor at best. LA has been working toward better air quality but there are a lot of people that suffer the ill effects of air polution. from asma to lung cancer. It's terrible.
I had a non smoker friend who died of lung cancer. She was also a nutritionist, vegetarian, vitamin and supplement taker who led a very healthy lifestyle.
@@lisaplayer1299 I think the point being made was that anyone can get lung cancer and sometimes it's more difficult for a non-smoker to obtain diagnosis because of assumptions. Cancer does not discriminate.
Same thing happened to my mom. She went to the Mayo Clinic (12/95) complaining of severe back pain. They told her it was "all in her head", told her to take OTC pain relievers, and sent her home. Then on 08/27/98, she was diagnosed with large cell carcinoma from head to toe. Without radiation & chemo, they gave her 4 months at best to live. So she put herself through months of radiation (to her brain) and chemotherapy and died on 08/12/99 at the age of 65. It bought her just shy of a year...of misery. She knew something was seriously wrong, but the doctors did not listen to her, and she clearly did not advocate hard enough for herself. It's sad because she had a LOT of plans & a LOT MORE living to do! Thank you for making this video, for sharing your story, and for encouraging people to speak up, to be persistent, and to be heard! It could mean the difference between living or dying!!! God bless you and you are in my prayers!!!🙏🏼🙏🏼
Sad, so sorry to hear of this and I hear it all to often in the states of how the doctors don't listen to women! I live in Connecticut and doctors listen to men but not women! They think its in their head?
I had a friend who had a spot on her lung for three years. Her doctor chose to follow it to see if the spot changed in size. She was a non-smoker. No one in her family smoked. She did have a family history of various cancers. She got sick with a persistent cough that wouldn't go away. Another x-ray showed fluid in her lung, which led to a stage 4 cancer dianosis. Inoperable. She died within a year. The fact that the doctor knew the "spot" was there for all those years and didn't do further testing was mind-blowing. It was maddening and devastating to know she could have had a better outcome if treated sooner.
I’m from Canada and I’ve was just diagnosed with stage one lung cancer. My specialist has been following me for 2 years. What started as a small nodule that wasn’t showing much change after Cat scans showed as active when he ordered a PETscan. This was followed by a biopsy that confirmed it. Within days of my biopsy I saw my doctor again. It was lung cancer. A little over 2 weeks later , I’m scheduled for surgery where the upper lobe of my right lung will be removed. I’m scared but optimistic. I thank my family doctor and the specialist for their great care.
Same thing happened to my aunt five years ago! And she’s here to tell her story! I hope nothing but the best for you and yours! My aunt is 66 years old and she wouldn’t even take painkillers after! She has clear scans on her lungs!

i worked in healthcare ( just retired) . my only blessing being from medical field the knowledge. If you don’t have that it can be difficult to achieve anything in a doctor office.. sometimes I asked myself what are they learning in the med schools?
If you lived in this area you’d be scrambling to find *any* healthcare professional who could see you in maybe a few months-and that’s with “good insurance.” Same with dentists and veterinarians. Even with incentives for healthcare people like NPs, RNPs, MDs etc., attracting and retaining professionals is extremely difficult. To get to large regional hospitals it takes hours, mostly on two lane roads that may be experiencing whiteouts regularly in the winter. Stay in Michigan, my friend unless you want to bring your expertise here or to any other remote, underserved area. You would be cause for a community celebration!
I've got stage 4 lung cancer with bone mets since Aug 23,I'm on targeted therapy, pabloclib and letrozole. Had a persistent cough for months, told it was acid reflux. So much time wasted let it progress too far. Having a good quality of life at 60yrs old. Will enjoy life with whatever time I've got left,i am at peace with myself, I will join my late husband in heaven, I asked him to come and get me when It was my time when he passed 5yrs ago. Love from devon in the UK 🇬🇧❤️
I’m so sorry to hear your diagnosis. The medical costs in America leaves me gobsmacked. I was in hospital (Sydney, Australia) for 7 weeks just over a year ago. I had 12 CT scans, daily blood test, x-rays, taken by ambulance and so much more. I also had the community nurses visit me daily, once I was sent home. I also had a cleaner once a week. EVERYTHING WAS FREE. We are so blessed. 💛🙏💛
Yes, thank goodness. My eldest son and family live in NZ and my ex partner lives in Canada. My youngest son lives in the UK. Thank God they all have great health systems too. The last thing you need to be worried about when you receive a cancer diagnosis, is whether you’re going to be able to pay for everything. I too, am heartbroken about the massive increase in young people now being diagnosed wth cancer. It breaks my heart. I pray for you both 💛🙏💛
So sorry to hear of her passing. My sister was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer on 10/31/2023 (metastasized to brain, and abdomen). She is still fighting. I'm hoping she'll survive.
Why are they still going on about only smoker can get lung cancer!!😡everyone who has had lung cancer in my life was healthy athletic and non smoker! I’m a retired nurse and physicians can be so closed minded and we need to change this.
I’m starting to think there are many environmental things and possibly things we may be consuming that is causing lung cancer 😮. Everyone I’ve know with it never smoked either ❤
@Thecrazyraven. Its most likely one of the trillion bacteria we haven't cultured yet or struggle very hard to identify and culture such as mycobacyerium we've identified almost 150 species but they are extremely difficult to grow because they LIVE inside living cells and multiply inside our white blood cell lymphocytes
They so bloody do!! I worked with 12 Drs for 15 years. Yeah, nuh! I’d only trust 2 of them to actually listen. This poor woman was TOTALLY wronged by her useless medical “professionals”. Poor lady
As many as always have. More probably, as folks are living longer. Given how much microplastics are in your body right now, and every other human on the planet i guessing that isnt helping.
As an NP, I never ever tell anyone there is “no possible way”. Patients know their own body a lot better than I do and I listen to their concerns. I wish insurance companies didn’t try to block us at every turn.
For sure and govt restrictions. I have had the full effects fromPSA since a teen but it wasn’t until I diagnosed it during lockdown that they agree and I am in too much agony despite biologics. I was a tns- trauma nurse specialist and I do what I can everyday but over the years have been treated in the worst ways imaginable. It affected my heart, mind, vessels and is consuming my joints but God forbid anyone from allowing me the dose that helped me for my pain. Wasn’t my Dr’s desire, they know how sick I am but rheumatologist wants to put people who are not depressed on meds that will cause even more problems because many just don’t look up side effects and the pts chart. I am considering just stopping everything because I am in too much agony and have seen doctors since I was 20 and I am 54 and disabled. I enjoyed working and I tutored A &P, chem , physiology, physics and helped physicians with their boards. My BP goes into the 300s because I don’t have enough ability to control it. All I can say is that I know that humans will have a huge intervention coming, one that is needed on a worldwide scale, and it will end our crisis. Take care!😊
Thank you for being open minded! When in labor with my son, the nurses called my OB and told him I was ready. He brushed them off and said it was my first baby and I’d be pushing for a long time so he took his sweet time. My mom, also a nurse, requested they call him again. She was fuming. My son’s heart rate was decelerating with every contraction. I laid on my side and waited for an hour because I knew something was wrong and didn’t trust the resident to deliver my baby. My doctor finally arrived, I pushed 3 times, and in 15 minutes my 10 pound, 23-1/2 inch son was born with the cord wrapped twice around his neck. My doctor is lucky he survived. My point is, doctors need to stop putting patients in a box. Everyone is different! Thankfully my current NP is also listening to me and ordered a chest CT for my recent persistent wheezing cough and chest pressure. I’m a nonsmoker and don’t have asthma.
Amazing but horrific story. Here in the UK, we have regional screen tests for lung cancer, (in 'well-being' mobile vans). My neighbour got a call - positive. 4 weeks later she had surgery.
Good for your neighbor, but the UK has its own horrific medical errors and people dying before they can get treatment. Either from all the red tape or just plain incompetence. You should look in the mirror before touting how you all do it over their. I've had cancer, and my care was excellent, from diagnosis to surgery, and It was only 2 months. And this was during the height of Covid. Just saying
Yup 🇺🇸 medicine is all profit-driven. It’s fab if u have great insurance but the worst if you have crap or no insurance. I’m British born but lived in USA for 35 years so familiar with both systems.
@TheRapnep I've lived in America, and any medical treatment my family needed was immediate and superb. I wasn't comparing countries. I was highlighting the opportunity to be screened, which has proven effective. My family has also benefited from private surgery. Only last year, my uncle had major surgery on his seriously injured leg. It was only £20000. A mere drop in the ocean for him.
My sweet precious Mother passed away 2 yrs ago, and right before that my Father. Her lungs out of the blue were diagnosed in the hospital as severly scared that turned into double pneumothorax. She was vented and soon after this passed away from this and other health issues. She was checked out all the time always. Not a smoker. No cancer..but how could she never have had anyone pick up on the severe double lung scaring. Lung issues and women who are non smokers.. What is happening here?
Anne passed? Oh noo. May she rest in sweet peace. Lung cancer seems soo prevalent in non smokers. Anne, Jenny Apple. How is it these symptoms in non smokers are becoming more common than ever. Rest in sweet peace.
Look into soy. My husband had Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma 20 years ago. The common denominator is that he had been drinking soy smoothies for over a year before this. Jenny was a vegan. All the “fake” meat and “fake” cheese, etc is made from soy and the soybean was changed to a GMO. Along with her having the gene, I believe soy is causing vegans to get cancer. I also know a few other RU-vidrs who got cancer and are vegans.
Its not "so prevalent". It just gets people attention because everyone knows that ciggies will kill you. Another smoker being killed by their lifestyle is not worth a you tube video. But a non smoker? That gets clicks.
RIP Anne. Thanks for sharing your story. I wish doctors would pay more attention to their patients. After all it’s our bodies and we know when something isn’t right.
I lost my son to non small cell lung cancer in 2018.. He never smoked. He was 33 years old and was never sick his whole life. He did, however, live in a basement apartment of an older house ..,. The main cause was thought to be RADON, a radioactive gas that passes through rock. ..another possibility could have been black mold. As a mother, the pain never goes away.
Can I just say you are an amazing communicator!! Your voice is so needed now. So much respect to you prayers for this trial and only positive energy. Luv. Joy. Surround you!! 🙏🏻💙💎🦋🦋🦋🦋🙏🏻
RIP Anne. It's sad that after all the suffering, research, money and time we still haven't managed to wipe out cancer. That makes you wonder if there is a battle between those who try to cure cancer, versus those who profit from treating it
I have a friend with advanced metastatic cancer who was given 1 year to live with treatment. He is now six years out and, to his oncologist’s surprise, apparently cancer free. What the oncologist doesn’t know is that my friend started taking Fenbendazole, a canine dewormer, that has demonstrated anti-cancer effects. It is cheap and OTC. If I had cancer, I would certainly try it.
Thanks for letting us know your experience and that one can have lung cancer with no coughing. My Mom died of lung cancer and I have two close family members also had lung cancer. I wish you and your daughter well in your recovery journey. 💖
You are a brilliant fighter with an enduring positive attitude. I hope all GPs and oncologists hear your voice. Thank you very much for sharing your journey with us. A|l the very best for both you and your daughter.
My husband was also diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. He was placed on Tegriso as well and has been on it for 26 months now and is feeling quite good! His cancer started with a cough that was constant and had a chest x-ray. It was diagnosed and staged with a lung biopsy. So far so good, no side effects and he goes on long walks with me and golf's once a week. I hope you continue to do well.
OMG! I didn’t realize she died already since the post is so recent. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. How sad! God rest her soul in peace! 🥲
My 29 year old stepson loved to hike. He had been complaining about shortness of breath for several months. His regular dr said it was because he had hernia surgery. I'm a nurse and I was like no way. He worked as a lab tech so he did blood work on himself. The pathologist told him to go see someone immediately. He never smoked. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in Oct 2007 turned 30 in 2007 and died Jan 2nd 2008. He didn't even live 3 months. We still blame his regular dr for not listening to him.
I'm so sorry for your tremendous loss. A similar thing happened to me. The Dr refused to listen. I told exactly my concern as 3 other people in my direct family had it, this horrible cancer. My treatment and staging could have been started much earlier. Her license she be revoked. 0:18
My heart breaks for you and your family. My sister in her late 20’s had a lung removed due to lung cancer - she was a non smoker. She passed due to stomach cancer. A dear friend passed due to lung cancer - again a non smoker. We were very blessed though, we live in Australia and their care was second to none. They never had to worry about the cost of treatment. Sending you lots of love and respect 💞💞
I am having a needle biopsy for my non small cell in my lower right lung this Wednesday. Thank you for sharing your story lovely Lady. You are now in my daily prayers 🥰
May God bless you and be with you! Pray to Him and to Mother of God! God love you soooo soooo much, believe me! Trust in God ,no metter what! Trust in Him! You are not alone!❤
My daughter works in radiation oncology and you are 100% right at lung cancer for young non-smoking people or even older ones is on the rise like crazy. It’s scary I wish you the best!
@@annettajensen6751and covid itself. Both cause damage to the cells in our body unfortunately. Unless you never leave the house or live away from the rest of society, you'll eventually be exposed to the cancer causing risks of COVID.
My mom was so weak and sick that she lost consciousness when she was taken, by ambulance, to the ER. They did scans and found a spiculated lesion in her lung. They told her, based on the appearance, that she had cancer. She was also found to be extremely anemic. They did a biopsy that came back clean, and told her she didn't have cancer and that they would monitor the lesion. We all felt very uneasy about it since they first told her it was cancer based on the appearance of the lesion, but this was during the pandemic and they were far too dismissive. They gave false reassurance, gave her an iron infusion to help her feel better, and ushered her out of the hospital. A year later they did a follow up scan, and surprise surprise, not only did she have lung cancer, but it had spread to another lobe, as well as lymph nodes. She has since had lobectomy, IV chemo, immunotherapy, radiation, and now oral maintenance chemo. The cancer has spread to her adrenal glands, and new lymph nodes, but is stable for the time being. It's been 3 1/2 years since the original retracted diagnosis. She just got out of the hospital with an extremely scary bout with pneumonia. She has been amazingly strong through this whole journey. Though it changes nothing, I find it hard not to think what a difference it could have made if the doctors had done the right thing, and gone in for a second biopsy. Maybe she could have had that lobe removed when it was stage one, and she could have gone on to live a full healthy life.
Nurse Anne, thank you for taking the time to share your journey and wealth of knowledge with us. I hope I never need this information, but I have saved your video for reference just in case. I am so glad that you were a candidate for the clinical trial, and that your pain and symptoms are well managed overall. I wish you and your family all the best, and hope that your tumors come to shrink. Take good care.
My neighbor has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, and we're all praying for her. I'm so sorry to hear Anne passed away. She was a very brave woman to face this terrible disease with such strength and courage. Her explanation of the difficulties just getting taken seriously enough to get properly tested resonates strongly with me. I see it with my own health struggles and my wife's as well. We're both having bad pains throughout our body and getting the run around from insurance. I keep telling her please just pay it out of pocket, get the MRI, don't let some high 3 digit cost stand in the way of getting answers but she is too stubborn. Seeing Anne's video has pushed me to push her. I'm going to make sure she gets answers here soon. Thank you for taking the time to put out this message, Anne. I hope it helps a lot of people get the answers they need before it's too late.
Anne, it frustrates me and makes me sad to hear you say while in emergency you “begged for an X-ray”. Just watching The Patient Story alone has informed me and others that non smokers are a notable category of people who get lung cancer. I agree with you that these several doctors seemed to be quite uninformed; and therefore in my opinion, reckless. You are so well spoken, so focused on your educational talk and are definitely an advocate for early testing. Your attitude is inspiring. Wishing you and your daughter all the best.😘🌷 I just read that Anne has died. Rest in peace beautiful lady.
My son had aggressive Hodgkin’s disease when he was 22. The treatments were horrible and he got Mrsa through his port at the hospital. I’m happy to know your daughter has recovered mostly. There’s so much cancer in my family that I’m thankful that there’s so much information out there now, like your video. Thank you.🙏 I pray and wish you the best with your health situation. ❤️
You have such a gift for explaining with clarity your experience and what may help others. Thank you for caring enough to share your hard earned wisdom and vulnerability to others experiencing this.Thank you. God bless.❤🙏 17:40
Sorry to hear that you have cancer and also sorry that they treated you the way they did. I hope that you showed all the doctors that denied you the care that you had a reason to be worried. Hopefully they could learn from this situation.
Thank you for you experience. I have been a nurse for many years and experienced severe pain for over 28 years, no help for diagnosis. During lockdown I got the final puzzle piece when I got severe uveitis. I have very different PSA, Lyme’s with fibromyalgia and my joints lock up and I was told to go home while having an MI and hadn’t slept literally over a week and a half so I was in a cytokine storm and likewise stroked. Being a nurse affects some doctors and it should not but because of having been belittled for so many years and not getting help my joints are all bad and there isn’t a way anymore with all of the spondylosis, spurs etc. I have some little internal masses on my lungs and kidneys but don’t qualify anymore for major surgery. I am glad that someone listened to you and I was relieved when listening for you. I certainly try always to keep in mind that so many suffer and the appearance of suffering can trick us due to perhaps maybe they have had it so long and therefore are told that they look great. I was always told why didn’t I exercise more even after dropping 70 lbs in one month and my therapist didn’t think I could make it. Long term pain like PSA is considered just as painful as bone cancer yet those who have severe form like me who don’t want to be in bed are limited by governmental rules and not physicians. My doctors fought and I have no recourse other than to hope I go fast. If it had another name I would be treated differently. I always think of the patients that I treated as a trauma nurse specialist and keep my heart set on the future without these terrible infirmities. Take care😊
So moved by your story, your honesty, your knowledge and self advocacy. I am wishing you and your daughter the best outcomes and that the great gift of good health becomes a full reality for you both.
Ann is so strong & positive and more knowledgeable than any of the ER Dr.’s she mentioned. I admire her. My mom died of non smoking small lung cancer in 1995. She was in treatment for 2 1/2 yrs. It was devastating. I had breast cancer after her and forced the doctors to do give me a complete hysterectomy after the double mastectomy and chemo. They said they’re not in the business of removing healthy organs from people, I said take those organs out now. They did. We all have our own way of handling things.
I am 76 year old woman who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer 14 months ago. Fortunately my cancer was discovered in a chest exray after complaining about upper back pain. I had no other symptoms except an Increasing shortness of breath that I put off as being old and out of shape. The tumor in my upper right lobe was seen 2 years before and explained as possible radiation scarring from 16 year prior breast radiation for a small breast cancer tumor. I can understand the frustration with getting the medical community to sit up and take notice. I am a former smoker, 1/2 pack a day quit 35 years ago.
I'm a nurse too and my understanding is a low CBC warrants further investigation. I'm really sorry you had to go through this. I've had very unproductive, expensive and unpleasant ER experiences myself. It's hard to access the system. I hope you get what you need going forward.
So sorry for Anne's family and friends. She was a great mother, very educated, and caring as a nurse and mother. Having no respiratory symptoms seems rare. I am not a medical professional! I am so sorry for Anne and her family. Hopefully, her passing made medical professinals learn more about cancer. Lung cancer on a healthy nonsmoking active female is rare. Anne, you are an inspiration on Earth and beyond.
I don't believe how beautiful you look and how nice your attitude is. Not knowing why you appear on my youtube,I really enjoyed the positive thinking that you show me! At 70,,I got my part of various diseases, but was always living like tomorrow will be another story, what really counts is the present. Thank you for giving me the strength that I needed today, exactly at this moment.I Subscribed immediately, courage!😅 Edit: I must tell you that I stop to trust doctors in general... Because one of them,I lost the usage of my right leg,3 other doctors send me home because I refused to let them amputate my right foot((until now at least,3 years after) I believe that our time on this planet is set from beginning to end engraved on the wall of life. See you in your next video! ❤😊
@@jeffreymanestar5319 oooh...Sadness and tears in my heart,Jeffrey,I just read your comment...thank you for giving me an occasion to pray for this woman,I hope that she rests in peace... You are so incredibly articulate about this disease. Scary that so many of us are unaware of what we need and we take a drs word for it. God bless you. I hope and pray for the best for you. Thank you for sharing your story❤❤❤❤
I've had to pay out of pocket for expensive labs & tests when Blue Cross insurance denied them as "not medically necessary". Drs. lean toward "watchful waiting" or referring to other specialist Drs who are booked up for months in their schedules. Time cannot be wasted & gut feelings that something is wrong cannot be ignored. The US medical system is broken so be your own advocate. Very sad to hear her cancer battle struggle. Quality of life & pain free is all that matters in life. Let her story be a teachable lesson & dont think its not going to happen to you or a loved one because cancer touches everyone sooner or later.
Heads up - do NOT wait for insurance. Call the imaging facility and make your own appointment. In my case, the cost of an MRI was cheaper than the insurance deductible. STOP relying on The System - you have to be proactive.
The inflammation markers indicate tumor cells are super charged. Regular tcell are exhausted. Was there for three types of cancer for me. Insist on better diagnostic tests. Push, push, push.
Our friends husband only had “rib pain”; no shortness of breath, coughing blood, etc. Just the rib pain was his symptom. He was eventually diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. However, he had smoked for 35 years and worked in a restaurant with smoking was allowed for years.
It's so frustrating when a patient has to demand tests because health providers choose not to for whatever reason. I had to fight for years to get 3 tests, with one being fairly rare, to get any answers. Mine was not a cancer situation, but it took me 13 1/2 years to finally get my 2 diagnosis. Best wishes to you, Anne, and your daughter as well. You will be in my thoughts.
You look amazing considering your diagnosis. It makes me so heartbroken that cancer in young healthy women is at a rise. Thank God for research. May you both be healed. Norway❤
I have stage 4 lung cancer and I smoked for years. I was told with no treatment I’d probably have 9 months to live. Well I had treatments and that nearly killed me. I’m currently on a break due to extreme weakness and because many tumors have shrunk and no spreading thus far. I told my Dr that I’m more concerned about quality of life than quantity. I get another scan next month and will start immunotherapy (maybe). I’m doing everything possible with holistic meds, praying for a miracle. I’m under palliative care, I understand why. Cancer is on the uprise. I ignored my symptoms of pain because I have fibromyalgia. My cancer was accidentally found when I had to have a chest X-ray. I have no idea how much longer I have to live or if my miracle cure will take place. I will not have anymore chemo. I praise God everyday that I wake up, he is my strength and I’m not afraid of death, I just worry for those I’ll leave behind. I feel in my heart that there’s a cure but there’s no money to be made in cures. God Bless and try to stay positive!
Bless you. I am post colonrectal, my doctor was quick to find and act, but insurance didn't want to pay chemo, so my oncologist I was sent to, said okay, if insurance denies, I can put you in the hospital for 3 months, amazing, they approved chemo and radiation. You shouldn't have to go thru the added stress.
Look at Jenny Apple lung cancer journey, how docs kept dismissing her symptoms for 1 year, she had to beg n cry for a chest scan and when finally had it done she was stage 3 non smoking lung cancer. Unfortunately she died last year at 36, young mother of 2 children. So sad for her. Darn if i started having bad symptoms i would advocate strongly for myself to get scanned. Even if i had to say lung cancer ran in my family so I would maybe be taken more seriously.
Ann bless you , this video is really awakening, people should insist to further exploration , and NOT let someone else hold your life in their hands. As for your daughter 😢 I know exactly how you and she felt about her Hodgkin’s lymphoma. As my daughter got it too in December 22. Out of the blue . Healthy living fit girl , a masseuse. Thankfully was caught early . Her symptoms were night sweats , terrible headaches , a cough that would not go and bringing up lots of phlegm. Tbh I thought it was an infection, and the sweats maybe her change of life starting . But she also had to insist on a MRI which found swollen lymph nodes and cancer. Thankfully has been given all clear , but also told many get it again in the future . Which is very frightening. Bless you and your daughter , and may god heal the both of you . LIFE BECOMES MORE PRECIOUS WHEN SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS 🌸🌺🌸🇬🇧
