How i learnt to enjoy reading the Bible (for beginners)

I love reading my Bible and I actually enjoy it. I started a Bible in a year plan with the goal of reading the entire Bible this year and it is one of the best decisions I have made. Before this, I had only ever read my Bible in bits and portions, focusing mainly on the New Testament but now reading these Old Testament books has peeled layers off my eyes! I am now able to understand a lot of what I'd read in the past of the New Testament. I also have a more rounded view of God and it's all been so exciting!
This is why this livestream exists - a way for me to share some of what I have been learning, to help you develop interest in studying scripture and actually enjoy the time spent with God.

I learnt to study the bible by handwriting it. I was writing verses in my journals but I got the leading to handwrite the whole bible. I was able to complete the first in a year and six months. Have met a lot of christians all over the world that study the bible by handwriting it. It takes some 6months to complete the whole bible. It's really an amazing spiritual adventure.

Funny a thing, I really did not want to watch this because I felt it’d be boring,I mean why would someone talk about how to read the Bible for over an hour😃😃but while I was worshipping, the holyspirit brought this to my mind and told me to listen and I am really glad I did. Your actually right first time I comment coz I feel I should.... It has already been pressed on me to say the Bible is the basis of prayer it gives us utterance... Otherwise if you don't read the word then what are u saying in prayer??? Coz prayer to me is taking back the word to the author and then start boommmm. Many times lately when I pray I felt the Holy Spirit tell me where is ur authority? Like these things ur talking to me about where's ur authority in other wards where do u get them from who said them? Etc etc what right do u have when u have no authority??? And looking deep within I realized am just Quoting what my pastor says or what someone else said and am like okay it's in the Bible and truly I cram that and go take it back to God in prayer but when u actually ask me where in the Bible that is I couldn't clearly tell and I realized there's even so much more scriptures that I can relate with on that particular situation or whateva you'll be amazed at how many times the Bible talks about it and how to go about it hahahaha but sticking to cliche verses coz am too lazy 😪to read the word for myself.... I can't explain how blessed I am to have come across this video. I have been struggling to read through the Bible for the past 10 years now. I have been successful in reading some portions, books and even the entire New Testament but yet to read the entire Bible. I have tried so many times such that I am even discouraged to try again but then I am also disappointed in myself for my inability to read the entire Bible. I believe I was led to watch this video to overcome my struggle. The comments have been very helpful and a blessing.

I can actually relate... I've been a Christian for almost 10 years now, and I haven't been able to read the whole Bible and it's somewhat discouraging. This is actually what I needed, cause I really desire to know and understandGod better. Thank you Ezinne and Esther for allowing God use you.

First, I'd like to say that Esther is really cute. Second, I'd like to just say well-done Ezinne. I understand how difficult it can be trying to do the right things and yet receiving so many backlashes from people that are supposed to strengthen you. Hi Ezinne,I really thank God for your life and all that you are doing in advancing God’s work.Truly each time I get to watch your videos something really changes.So today during quite time I had difficulty in understanding (1 Corinthians 11), I almost cried because I wanted to know God’s mind in relation to everything that Paul said but after hearing you and Esther I believe my prayer for that scripture has been answered.I feel so light and edified now thank God🙏🏽❤️

reading the bible is actually a very beautiful book to read 😇🙂 especially when you find out everything happening this world is in the bible, so I am like nothing is new. sometimes I find certain things and I shout and tell myself I have found GOLD, lol I watched this video with smiles, well done Esther and Ezinne. to enjoy reading the bible, you must must have a genuine passion for it and you must have the desire to have similar experience in your life. once you begin to have experiences ,you will always be eager to read

I’ve been binge watching the videos and this channel and every time I finished watching one, this one would pop up but I’d continuously skip it because I thought it was too long. I finally decided to watch it and all my goodness 🙆🏾‍♀️🔥❤️…. I really needed this. I recently started reading the Bible with the intention of reading all the books and this video has helped me think about how I should approach Bible reading because some of my questions have been answered. Yes the message version is deceptive. My paper Bible is the message bd I read it for so long. After I discovered that it was twisting the stories. I had to reset my knowledge on so much of what I read

This video is do helpful! I really loved watching both of you speak with wisdom about Bible study. About where to start with Bible study I think Jesus is the best place to start. Matthew Mark Luke and John are the books that contain the words of Jesus and because Christ is the center of the gospel He is the best place to start. For example a person reading Genesis Chapter 4 may not understand why God didn't accept Cain's sacrifice and eventually killed his brother. But in Matthew 5:22 Jesus tells us that hatred and anger are akin to murder. A person who has stayed with the words of Jesus will read that and understand. I trust God that even if you don't start with the gospels if in your reading of the old testament there is confusion your Father in heaven will lead you to his word who is Jesus Christ amen.

I personally have been able to read through the new Testament but the Old testament has been a mountain... Am currently in the book of Isaiah and I don't even understand what God is saying especially when the words like "she" since Judah, Israel such like are mentioned.I pray that the Holy Spirit may help me understand
