as always loved the vid, just thought at some points the music was fairly loud so maybe turn it down a tiny bit if you can but anyway keep up the great work and keep brick'n it
Excellent video! I have been wondering for months how I would go about lighting up my city and you have really clarified a nice vision of how to go about the process. Thank you for this!
I dread to think of the spaghetti of cables under the city, those magnetic connectors are cool. Wonder if the cheaper powered USB hubs would be ok too?
I use Briksmax and some Lightailing. www.lightailing.com/ This is my setup, work in progress, still weight for some street lights. shrani.si/f/2R/di/2ycUumiK/lego-city-lights1.jpg I much prefer Brikmax. Bought so many kits that I can not instal them completely custom with no instructions. You just buy the biggest sets with the best parts inside, for a good price and you can light up multiple modulars and cars with on or two kits. Ghostbuster fire hous for example is on discount with large amount of lights, already bought a lot of them. You can buy whatever accessories you need. Also one good thing with Briksmax is that only on USB cable that comes out from the back. From other kits it is nice that is all plug and play you have lights already attached to the legos, but you have much more clutter with cables as they are all connected and you also usually end up with 5-8 usb cables coming from the back and you have to connect this tho 1-5/8 adapter...
I do really love light kits for Lego but they cost a lot of money and I would rather get new sets than brick lighting kits though i do t blame you for getting them cause they look awesome!!!
If you have brought a light kit that already has all the lights attached to each other etc... How do uou install the wireless power connectors? Do you have to cut the cable and re solder?
Crazy amount of money to be swallowed up but adding lights. don't think its for me, I mean it looks cool, but how much more Lego can you get for the cash! :)
Definetely! I get them when they are on offer but I agree they are still really expensive! I don’t have massive amounts of room for the city so I thought lighting it up just makes it looks a bit nicer :)
Cool video. I really just wanted to comment about the IT Crowd. I love that show, my favorite quote, “people, what a bunch of bastards” 😂😂😂 Love the work you two do.
Hi. Thanks for this. Dumb question. I assume the wireless connection work with briksmax kits. I'm working on wiring bookshop and not fussy about not being able to move floors easily
Great Video Chris ! As all your videos 🙂 Good tips I am using Lightailing (they also represent BriksMax as you know) but I really think Lightailing is much more easier to add than BriksMax....Of course I understand that I loose a bit the "customisation Level" ... I have one question for you: do you know if those wireless Briksmax components work together also with Lightailing ? See doing great videos ! Your passion with lego is amazing and contagious 🙂 Once again greetings from Portugal !
Good vid Chris! Very much like what I am doing minus the voice activation. I have gone with remote controlled plugs instead. In terms of kits, I prefer the lightailing ones rather than the two you mentioned... I hate the fiddly connections! The problem with lightailing is that there is a lot of usb connections flying about all over the place. Oh well
Iv enjoyed so much watching you grow as a creator! Your editing is so good and makes the video a lot more enjoyable (not that they wasn’t already enjoyable 😂). Well done! 🙌🏻 🇬🇧
