How I Lost This $220 Lure (GONE)! 

You're killin me man!! I'm trapped smack in the middle of the U.S.!!! Nowhere near any fish that are as much fun to catch as those Kingies!!! My life has come to a screeching halt and I've gotta do something about it before it kills me!!! I can't stand having nothing to do!!!! You might as well put me out of my misery rather than just sit here staring at the wall!! Usually I'll make something, art, furniture, music, whatever, but I'm low on inspiration AND energy!!! A lethal combo for a person like me!!! I have a few ideas of stuff to get started but I'm having a hard time finding the motivation. I don't know how to fix that cause it's never happened before. You keep slayin those incredible fish and it may help me to find a way out of this rut!!! Thank goodness for the folks like you that refuse to let the world beat em down, you set the best example possible bro, YEEEWWW!!!!! Patiently awaiting the next one, as always.......

But again...losing an expensive lure is part of the game xD I've lost an Amegari Urpekari FDP on the first cast and first fish once, thinking I had the fish landed already, and he just took one last run straight for a ledge and puf, gone with an expensive lure and me with a stupid look on my face xD Keep on cranking them, with the good company of boysie and possibly Kat! my guess is that the rear single was fouled somewhere on the fish's shoulders or high on the head. it's basically like wearing a harness and the fish can get tremendous leverage. you felt it pop out and the leverage point changed from the side of the head to the mouth, which allowed you to turn the fish. just a guess. very good fish. sucks to lose $300 worth of lures but it was a big send

(I still wouldn't do it, cus the chance of me messing the main line up is... no, I am not gonna even try! :O)

In southern California. We use iron lures to catch yellowtail. There way cheaper than using expensive lures. $8 each

You have to realize what your looking at when buying stuff today i have thought of making my own lures as the materials are not hard to get and are easy enough to make really . A lure worth more than $ 30.00 i would never consider do not care who s names on it .

OK, that should not even be a question that you should be asking. Why in the hell would you pay $220 for a lure? I bet you $50 you could cut off a section of broom handle drill a hole through the center run a wire through it and attach two swivels on it. Put one hook on the rear swivel and I bet you you could catch one of those kingys on it. I don’t mind spending money on fishing but $220 on a lure is not open my repertoire.
