Thanks for sharing your story. Although male pattern baldness, it still causes emotional stress, depression, and sadness. It’s of course worse the younger you are, but no where near what you’ve endured. Seeing you smile at the end and your describing that you’re getting back to a more “normal” life was uplifting to see. You have a great personality, and not all of us at any age look so good bald! The embarrassment, depression, and anger take a while to overcome. But you do learn that hair is really a minor part of who you are. Please understand I’m only sharing what I’ve gone through over time and learning to deal with the emotions that go with it to help put your situation in perspective, even though my situation is not the same. Even though I don’t really know you, I’m proud of you and pray your life continues to improve!
You seem like an awesome person who is finding his way through a lot of stress. In the end, I'm guessing you are just as welcome as a friend. You STILL could be a model, with a definite edgy look. Best to you, man!
big up for the video man. You seem like a great guy. I’m 29 and have alopecia totalis too. It’s rough mentally, and the world can feel like a cruel place. But you have to focus on what you can control. Focus on yourself. Your well-being, exercise, meditation, self growth, creating a positive mindset and bringing positivity into this world. Try different things and hopefully you’ll find your path. I was a good looking, confident guy, pre alopecia, and was crushed for a long time. I accepted and came to peace with the fact my hair may never return..
Thanks for the kind words! I agree, I focused on those things a while ago and things have certainly changed! Coming to terms with the hair never coming back was a first step, with always having hope that it could, and now things are looking optimistic for me, so never give up!
It's a really underated topic, how a lot of men go bald and have to stand getting called "bald" as an insult. Yes it's offensive, none of us enjoy losing our hair, be respectfull about it.
hi luke thank you so much for this. i'm a senior in college and have been losing my hair for ~2 years now. i'm sure you can empathize, it's been a roller coaster of rlly difficult emotions. i think a lot of ppl underestimate how emotionally and mentally draining hair loss is. i'm glad you're in a better place and are using your story and experience to help others. you give me strength! i'm really grateful. thank you - larissa
Thanks for the comment! It truly is something that can be hard to comprehend, but I'm glad this is something you use to help your own situation, as that's what I'm hoping to do! If it means anything to you, I started a website about this, its not much right now, but hopefully it can be another resource to help you. I put it in the description :)
I’m binging alopecia stories right now because I have been diagnosed with alopecia as well. As sad as it is, its comforting to know I am not alone. If it gives you any comfort on top of this I’m dealing with bed bug bites as well, so I totally sympathize with kinda feeling numb to this. I do have faith things will get better both for me and for you. Keep holding on!
You just look different, not bad at all! Hairloss of any type changes our appearance and we just have to roll with it. As I don’t know you’re sexuality so please take it as a compliment when this gay dude tells ya’ you’re still nice looking!
Well done Luke. I’m so sorry you have had to go through this but I’m very proud of you for sharing the ups and downs of your journey. It takes a strong and brave personality to make a video like this and I believe that these traits will help you throughout your life. Sending love from your Island family.
You poor guy, I feel your pain but there is hope coming soon in the form of jak inhibitors ( I think that's what they are called) total regrowth with the experiments, just not approved by the FDA yet for alopecia. You are very brave to make this video.
M8 imma a tell u, ur a good looking guy be happy with what you’ve got, I have thin brown hair and I have a huge long nose so I’m pretty much fucked. But you got ur whole life ahead of u. Seize it cos u can do it!!!
You have very beautiful features on your face... You look great.. In the video, your tone sounds sad.. But please don't be sad.. It's life sometimes makes us happy and sometimes it makes us sad, but we must overcome all crises for our survival and for our loved ones. But don't be sad, please, you look very wonderful.. There are more important things than hair.. The first thing I noticed is that you have a wonderful personality and I am sure that you have many friends.. And you should have a girlfriend that really loves you.. Believe me, if you find the love of your life you will forget all this. And you regain your self-confidence.. and when you grow up and have children, things like this will never be important..hope we here from you soon .. ❤

@@manishlalwani4492 Thank you. I've done a lot of blood tests, as well as other medication, but didn't work. However, in the past year, I've experienced regrowth in my eyebrows and small patches of hair on my head, so don't give up! Just keep a positive mind and then see what happens.
