Honestly, one way I love just spending time with God is going outside. Like it’s so simple but just looking around at his beautiful creation and seeing the birds and clouds above me just really puts me into this state of worship to him and allows me to just relax and be at peace in his presence. I will also pray and just talk to him about whatever is on my mind and he just listens, it’s so beautiful. I think I need to keep up with this and I encourage others to do it aswell. What I need to work on though is allowing time for me to be silent and listen to God too.

I know a digital fast is not even a consideration for some people but I just want to say, no social media + living with God, is a whole different life and it is beautiful. Truly amazing and you feel Gods presence and His voice so much more when every quiet moment in your life isn’t spent on your phone. Your phone is a portal out of real life and Gods presence
Yes this ^ even a social media fast is enlightening. It makes you realize just how much time you haven’t been giving to God. When you go to click instagram or RU-vid and it’s not there anymore and you get to go to pray to God or read the Bible. It’s humbling. Thank You Jesus

yes, I stand with this as well. our mind is a gateway portal and when we consume ourselves to our phones and social media, we don’t realize how much we allow more things to infiltrate our minds through social media and not allow God to be the forefront of our lives. we wake up and go to our phones before praying before God but switching up our routine to fast and have God first, makes a whole lot difference 😇🙏🏾
I noticed when I gave up listening to secular music many things that I used to feel and say, (anger, depression, cussing, etc) I no longer felt to say or do as much. God helped me through those issues but music was my everything there was a time when I put music before God. When I gave up listening to mainstream artists, I started to understand what you listen to starts to carry into your daily life. When I stopped listening to secular music, I noticed that I would get fewer crazy dreams, sleep paralysis, get less annoyed and angry, etc. I still listen to music now but I listen to more gospel/ Christian music that sounds the same as ‘regular’ music they’re just talking about God.
I’ve been trying a few things: 1. Pray to him by talking outloud like you would having a conversation with a friend throughout the day 2. Listening to an audio Bible reading plan everyday when I’m in the car. 3. Filling my youtube and podcasts I also listen to in the car or while working with christ centered content 4. Binge watching the chosen instead of other TV 5. My wife enjoys me reading books to her so we added the bible and Christian books to the rotation 6. Reading a 30 second devotion every day. Its not much but the simple goal sometimes turns into longer once I’ve opened up my spirit. 7. I listen to more christian music than I used to. To the point I don’t get much joy from single about anything else than God, besides sentimental songs that in effect comes from God too. Now there are days I forget to do any of this but my faith has increased and I think about him much more throughout the day
My favorite way to spend to time with God is by singing to Him. It’s been harder and harder to do so recently but singing Him a song of how I feel or of how great He is from to top of my head has always brought me comfort

@@user-zf2ke6yf2v I’ll give you a short testimony from today alone. I was going to pick up some stuff for my grandma and I knew I could make it in two stops. I picked up her medication and then I was on the way to the second stop. The Holy Spirit told me to go to the grocery store instead. I knew this grocery store meant I had to make it 3 stops instead of 2 since they don’t normally have part of what she needed me to pick up. I obeyed and went to the grocery store. I didn’t know why He wanted me to go there, but at the end of the trip I seen my old coworker and he asked me about whether or not a situation he encountered was God testing him or the devil tempting him. I told him definitely the devil, and even if it was God testing him he passed. Turned out at the end of the conversation he asked me for a Bible. The store didn’t have everything I needed for the errand but God led me to someone who wanted a Bible and someone who had questions about God. This was today and it’s so surreal to think about. He really has a plan for everything. ❤️🙏🏼
I recommend going on quiet walks or bike rides while talking to god or listening for him. Not only does this help clear your head and get you sunlight, but taking walks help transition into quite time a little easier :)) God bless you on your journey! also your editing style is sickkk

Honestly, talking to him just like he’s a friend is really good. I’m not consistent in it at all but talking to God is like just let him know about your day and just taking is really good. I get distracted very easily and I tend to go do other things, like I’ll watch TikTok anime RU-vid for a long time, but I’m trying to talk to him more
Keep up talking to him. I’ve been on a walk with God for about 2 years now and as I’ve gone through this walk I’ve learned that if you stay consistent with spending time with him the distractions will start to be less addictive in falling Into

I think God's calling me to rely on him like never before this next semester and to leave this cloud of comfort I've created. Honestly, this next season kind of scares me. But I know God has really transformed my thoughts and heart this summer simply because I first went to him with an open heart. I've been avoiding hashing it out with God, but I know he is the best person to be with because He loves us and wishes nothing but the best for us. When we consistently give God our wholehearted time and love, lies and distractions fall away, and the love of Jesus becomes more evident in us. That's what truly matters. God transforms when we give him our whole heart. It's an act of obedience and love, and it pleases him. I try to focus on the things that I take for granted like running water, shelter, central air knowing how to read and write and be thankful for those things. But also about things that bother me in the current moment. I usually keep asking myself why questions until I figure out the reason why I feel a certain way. I used to struggle with pornography aswell but the way I overcame it is not just by just inviting God into my life, but making God my life. I started praying, and studying the word more consistently and regularly, and I realised that when you do that you dont even have that urge to watch it, your not even tempted. Book I recommend is “the ruthless elimination of hurry”. Our culture is completely against the pace of God, so we don’t realize how often we are moving too fast or unaware that we miss God.
My favorite way to spend time with God is writing to him in my journal /prayer journal or even talking to him wherever I'm at. Communicating and expressing my feelings to God has helped me so much as a believer and has helped me build my relationship with him.
Turing on “Soaking in his presence”, music ( I recommend William Augusto) Be careful because it can make you tired if your doing it late in the day😂. But when your reading the Bible or in that silence turn on that music and purposely take time out to just hear God. You become overcome with so much peace and your mind goes on auto pilot and allows God to really just speak to you . And giving the Holy Spirit the opportunity to wash over you. And it gives you a good habit of talking to God in your mind because we’re not always in the setting to talk to God outloud. God bless whoever might be reading ❤
Thank you for sharing! I find myself being spirit led most times when I spend time with God. Sometimes God will ask me to pray in the spirit, journal, read his word, watch a video that has a word for me, listen to a sermon, read the Bible or even lead me to a specific scripture. One thing that’s improved my relationship with the Lord is just acknowledging him in everything. I talk to him as if he’s in front of me and I pray that he gives me the desires of his heart so that I may follow his will not mine.

I go on walks without my phone. No distractions, just me, my thoughts and God. I talk to him like he's physically with me on the walk and I get into lots of topics. Asking him for advice, appreciating him for the scenery he created, declaring good things over my life in His name etc

you can spend time with God in many different ways. when you’re cooking, cleaning, taking a shower, brushing your teeth .. before you go out to bed. It’s like spending time with a friend, but it’s not a friend its God. but God understand you he loves you so much & He sees your effort so keep trying.
Life gets busy at times, especially with work so I would put an alarm right at my break and spend 5 mins with God in the bathroom. Get in a stall, headphones in and just start basking in his presence.

What i do, is try to spend at least an hour a day reading his word and praying. Though my life gets BUSY, because i let it, I don't get time to do this. I would have to disrupt somethings and be consistent and faithful to scheduling and Goal setting tasks that i know God is using to help me.
I usually do a lot of journaling. I’ve tried other things, but they just don’t work out for me and I get into that state where it feels like a chore. I do a lot of confession, self reflection, repentance, and worshipping. And if I can’t put my feelings or thoughts into words, I listen to worship songs that can be likened to my current situation. I've actually been struggling a bit too, but here are some things I try to do or would like to do. 1. I leave my Bible or anything Bible related on my bed- so when I see it I feel like I should read it. 2. I do prayer walks- I've been really wanting to go outside and just speak to God, but if I can't go out, I just usually walk around the house. 3. I'm going to try and limit my screen time, spend more time with God and family. 4. My friend actually suggested journaling things that remind me of God throughout my day so I'll try that. 5. I would say journaling has been a big thing for me so I journal my day and when I look back on it- I thank God for everything He's done for me. 6. Changing my mindset from I have to I get to has been a real help for me. 7. Listening to gospel music. 8. Reconnecting with your Christian community. I (sometimes) have Bible study with my Nana two times a week, and me and my friends do too! I really thank you for this video and I hope my tips can help like yours have!

One way I spend time with God is just talking to him about personal things and the more I pray the more I hear him and know his voice or even inviting him into random moments like when I’m cooking , I will ask God to help me cook or his option on what I should season my food with personal stuff like that bc God is relational ❤
i love this channel i just found it today. new subscriber hereee. anywhosies, with what everyone else has said i agree with, changing up music, being more intentional with free time, etc. all so good and so true! but i’ve also found that when it comes time to doing something i don’t want to do, (cleaning my room, washing dishes, helping a family member out w something) ive found that changing my heart posture from doing something for someone else or myself to doing it for God. and seeing it as the least i can do, bc God has done so much more for me. and being willing to do it for God instead of myself or anybody else. bc then it ensure that it was worth it even if the person isn’t as thankful as i would have thought or my actions go unnoticed by people, which would normally make me upset or sad. feeling like i did it for nothing but instead doing for God which is much more rewarding than anything anybody else can do for me or say in response. especially as a people pleaser myself, this mindset has helped me feel content when people are given room to disappoint me. so when i do these things i use it too as time to talk to God. i pray to him in my head, and he knows me and my heart and listens. praise God for that. love you all!

There's been so much going on in my life lately (just mostly getting things in order.) During the pandemic lockdown in 2020, it was SO much easier to spend time with God. I would spend the whole day learning about God, His Word, listening to people's testimonies, and journaling my thoughts. Journaling has helped alot for me because I don't really talk that much and have a hard time expressing how I feel. Thank you for allowing the Holy Spirit to lead you to make this video. When I started trying to make time for God in my life I started watching more faith based RU-vid videos and would come home after work each day and commit to reading at least two chapters of the Bible. (I started with the gospel of John since it is a little easier to digest) It isn’t a ton of time spent but I know God meets us where we are and he is happy to have any of our time.
Some ways that have strengthened my relationship with Jesus- Literally acknowledging him in everything that I do, "Jesus I invite you to cook with me, Holy Spirit I invite you to give me the words to pray, Jesus I invite you to write this song with me". Keeping in constant communication with him outside of the prayer format. Talking to him like he's a friend. I noticed when I felt him the strongest is on my lunch break at work I'd pretend to be on the phone but I'd be talking to him while inviting him on a walk outside. This is where I really began to learn his personality.
Ugh it is so hard living in such a distracted age. i went through the same thing this year. I feel like He’s grabbed my heart this summer and is helping me grow so much. Keep fighting the good fight of faith

Ways I spend time with God is speaking to him daily like if I go outside or sometimes when I’m going through something rough I speak to God about it and he just makes a solution and talks to me about it. It’s also good to pray in tongues

Setbacks are bound to happen, but just give yourself grace and know that it’s not healthy to dwell on those setbacks. With that being said, Take your time to become strong enough to stay persistent. getting to know myself and my prayer habits that can help me trigger my brain to go into prayer. thinking back to times where i’ve heard God speak to me the most and truly noting things down that He says to me in those moments so i don’t miss it--when i have the ability to. triggering my brain to get a habit of praying on my way to go do something, right before i leave the house, in the morning when i wake up, throughout the day if He has kept me together i acknowledge Him…so many things. it’s still a process and im not productive as much as i want to be every day, but these have helped me

Thank you for this video. This is something we all struggle with this sort of thing. When you said you had linked your identity with your video performance instead of identifying with Christ hit home. (Ok, I paraphrased what you said). When I first started putting videos on RU-vid, I started getting depressed when a video didn't perform as well as I thought it should. Then I realized maybe that video was meant for just one person, and God would make sure that one person saw it and if it somehow ministered to them then I had done my job. As Christians it is imperative that we spend time with God, reading His Word and praying for our own spiritual growth. As Christian RU-vidrs, who make Christian content, we are in-fact ministers. That makes it even more necessary that we spend time with Him. We cannot help others grow in Christ, if we ourselves are stagnate. Thank you for making this video and reminding us all of this very basic idea.

Instead of scrolling on TikTok I try to go to the Bible app and watch videos. I also listen to podcasts before I sleep. I journal as well but what is so difficult is to stop scrolling & watch videos on the Bible app but I’ll keep trying!!
I’m really encouraged seeing this kind of video on RU-vid and hearing about all the ways to spend time with God. I’ve been struggling to connect with God lately and this got me off my butt to go journal and spend time with God, thanks.
If I find that I’m called to read the word at anytime but I’m struggling to get into it, actively praying and talking to god before during and after and getting into the habit of doing that has helped build my relationship with him. Building relationship is the key to spending time with God. You want to spend time with your loved ones right? Well the word, especially the Gospels, are the best place to start when getting to know god.

I’d like to also add that I’ll use the Bible app as well. I usually used hallow for daily gospel readings but I fell out of practice. Hopefully it isn’t the same with the Bible app

Yet God is gracious enough to keep putting Christian videos in my feed haha. I used to be lazy to pray during the night. but i figure the best way for me to talk to God is to pray in the moring so i would wake at 5 or 6am to finish all my chores and pray
I was just flipping through channels and I came across your video and I wanted to hear what it is you do and who you are, your story was touching to be a young man who seeks GOD I love to hear these stories from young men. I'm 57 and 100% single never married never had children, so I know what its like to be single and spending time with GOD, I've always wanted to have a personal relationship with GOD since I was a child but no one in my family would never buy me a Bible, and my family were church goers, but they denied me GOD, now I am Loving spending time with GOD all day. I still struggle with a lot of things and I still wish for Godly people to share the word with, I truly believe I am on the right path. Keep doing what you are doing GOD is always with us.
When i have silent time with God. I start out by having my bible & journal out. I pray and invite the holy spirit into my space. 1) Then i give God praise/gratitude. 2) I ask God what i need to work on and what i’m lacking spiritually, physically, mentally. 3)Ask for forgiveness. After the prayer, i then go over one or two verses a day from the bible & meditate on them. Then i research what the verses mean. After that i ask God how could i apply this to my life and ask questions that relate to the verse. I also love prayer walks and just being in silence with God. To be with his presence and giving him the opportunity to speak to you.
School has just started for me, and I don’t want to be with the people who bring me away from God, but since it’s such a small class it’s hard to just stick to myself. I’ve also seen myself slipping away from God. Please pray for me.

You find nice places/parks or neighbourhoods to walk (also a way to honour god with taking care of your body being active and healthy) and you just combine that with prayer and even worship music if you have earphones. It has helped me over this last year as I started doing intentional prayer walks. Because you are on a walk, you are already away from most distractions and that can make focusing on god/spending time with him much easier. I hope this has helped someone as it has really helped me. I love listening to music and thinking about him. And worshipping him. And I’m thinking of trying the Audio book. I have dyslexia and it’s hard for me to read without letters jumping all around and mixing me up Godbless yall ❤ This video helped me find different ways.
