1:30 Why will the shipping supplies become scarce?

It depends on where you get boxes and supplies from but as the holiday get closer you will be competing with other companies and everyday people who are running to Walmart, and staples to get boxes to ship Christmas gifts

Great info! Also heard there may be strike at east coast ports , could affect delivery for store items. Idk if it will but may push eBay traffic if it happens

My Q4 strat is stop using usps 100% and pass the cost on to my customers. I have no options with usps losing every shipment for 2 weeks straight. 30+ priority mail packages lost or delivered over a week late. I sell fish, so that means dead animals. Usps has made me lose money on every sale shipped priority for over 2 weeks straight. Q4 strategy, only offer ups 2 day and make the customer pay. This will kill my sale, but I can't let them kill more of my fish or upset anymore customers.

Dang that's crazy. I have noticed usps is always a few days late but I don't sell fish so it doesn't really matter. What does your competition do? Do they only offer 2 day ups?

@SecondChancePicker everyone on ebay selling fish is doing the same things. If you look at live fish most ship for around 30 bucks. Some people offer usps for around 15-20. And have very strict doa policies. Like we dont pay second time shipping, must send pictures within 30 minutes of delivery of doa, etc. I try to be very chill as I sell to subsidize my hobby, not make a living. So I just replace doa fish and pay the shipping myself the second time. This used to be pretty standard 5 years ago, but now sellers are much more strict. After usps failing to deliver priority mail and 2 day on time, I used ups with zero issue at double the cost. I always let buyers upgrade shipping if they want to pay. Ups and FedEx 2 day is flawless. I liked keeping the cheaper option, but I understand why so many dont. I hate how expensive it makes things, sometimes doubles the cost of fish, but it's a necessity now. I feel obligated to get people the fish they paid for and are excited for. So when usps drops the ball it costs me as the seller. Luckily I insure it all so after the 90 day waiting period I make back some of the loss. Still just hate knowing my fish suffocate sitting in a box due to sheer incompetence.
