I have been trading for about 6 months now and just about every trade slaps me in my face. Nearly impossible for me to catch more than a few points . I try to do top down analysis and MTF analysis, but it doesn't work for me . I say to myself, clearly I'm in the 90% that lose money, so I open a demo account, do my analysis, then take the opposite of what I would normally take(I know, it sounds stupid but I was desperate) and get the same result. I'm starting to feel hopeless.
@@therick2986 Your problem could be that your stop loss is way too close or you're watching your trades too much. Place it and walk away. Or you could just give up, trading isn't for everyone.
@@mckenzi3560 Don't let him discourage you, don't give up. Trading takes years to master, even the pros learn everyday. Never the less, if you lose money no matter which side you take, maybe you need to look at how you are managing active trades rather than how you are entering them, moving stops to BE may help. My advice, find a mentor. And also, try incorporating the use of oscillators or rsi into your strategy to make your entries better and prevent overtrading. And most importantly move to higher TFs (4h or 1D preferably), you'll thank me later.
@@blake4450 You're right, I don't lose money every single trade, but my main problem is trying to let my runners run. Very rarely do I catch big moves. Instead they go a few pips in my direction, then go against me if when I try holding them. Also my entries could use a lot of improvement. @@therick2986 I think the most important thing you should know is staying away from the lower TF, that's where the big boys play and so it's prone to manipulation as a result of large order sizes . What they can't control is the larger TF, just stick with that and you should be safe. Yes, I know getting help is hard, most pm’s don't even have time to teach other people. Options is the best for the bang of your buck. HIGH RISK HIGH REWARD. Crypto isn’t good unless you’re doing margin (99% super risky) Or you have a lot of capital to make gains from small percent gains. If your cash roll is $1000. You’d have to put 100% of your money into a coin and see $100 profit if it goes up 10%. Takes long and no one has time for that. But 10% of 100k is different. Or you could buy options and get way more profit.

Since you've started with a long-term buy and hold approach (which is smart), you may want to consider adding a few option selling strategies to complement that approach. Take a look into selling covered calls or cash-secured puts...or both with the Wheel strategy. They're a great way to get started with options in a manner that makes sense for the long-term investor.

She has been tradíng for me for a long time now and I been making about $25,000 bi-weekly, She takes a percentage from the profít on every trade session (which is a fair deal), What I'm trying to say is the 5% of traders in the world that are consistently profítable are not on RU-vid, they are just random/lowkey people no one even expects

Step #6 should be number one lol. I've missed out on so many gains by being greedy then watch them hit as high as they would before expiration, and watch em go lower and ended up selling lower. 3 separate times.
ALWAYS have a profit target in mind BEFORE even making the trade. And set GTC closing orders to take those profits when those targets are met...take all emotion out of trading.
Being 60 and how to manage the sequence of returns in those early periods is what seems quite scary in the current market. Good video... THE MOST IMPORTANT ADVICE on this video is CUT YOUR LOSS QUICK. I trade weekly options and I do pretty well. The ONLY reason I lose money is when I hold losers thinking they will come back and make me "right"... Big mistake. I also have a problem letting my winners run. I like to scalp for a daily income, so I frequently take my little profits only to see that if I just held, I would have made a TON more. I have not tried the strategy here, but I like it. I just don't have enough to pour into long term options.

Tiktok level Financial advice. As soon as he said "out of the money call..." I shut the video off. Yes you can make a lot, but you will most likely lose it all due to IV crush. Plus this only works in a bull market, market corrected recently and if you buy calls you might win but will definitely lose by February. Sell credit spreads. Much higher win rate, less risk, and less of a cost. Sounds complicated but it's simple. And it will work in any kind of market.

You mention that you started with $16,000 and turned it into a Million in 2 years. To do that, you would need to earn a 19%/month return and keep re-investing those returns. But in your videos you talk about earning around 2-3%/month. I was just reading your description for this video where you said that you were adding more capital until you had around $100,000. But even then earning 3%/month doesn't turn $100,000 into $1 Million in 2 years. It gets just over $200,000. Can you kindly clarify if I'm incorrect in my math? Thanks.
Keep in mind if the stock never recovers with this strategy, your option may lose all of its value if it expires OTM. It's equally important to talk about the risks than the potential upside for any strategy.
But he only had 100K and now he has 1 mill. 100K normally doesn't do anything but quadruple in 20 years and his numbers suggest a 10X. The risk of the option going the zero is the price he paid to get 2X + the benefits!!!! With high risk and luck outcome that would otherwise be impossible are now possible. Well I think it is only reasonable to seek out opportunities that are higher risk for higher returns. As much as I like the skill component with the stock market you have to depend a lot on conditions and luck with skill adding you in outcomes. Options trading courses are generally for learning the basics, but there's a lot more skills you need to develop after you've learned the ropes. I'm still learning about new strategies even after 2 years of full-time experience in options trading.

Good advise. A fews things I'd like to add when buying leaps. 1st make sure the stock IV is low when you purchase the option. If IV is high you can lose money fast just due to IV contraction. Lastly, I prefer to buy deep in the money options (most costly but hight probability of profit), that way you can sell covered calls (poorman covered calls) using the weekly to help reduce your basis. Win Win.

Just being honest here...if you only have $30 to $100, you should NOT be trading at all yet. You will need at a bare minimum $2,000 to open a margin account to therefore be eligible to start trading most options strategies and futures. Also, Robinhood does not even offer futures trading.

I did not understand strategy behind buying OTM call options, if you are buying them at strike price of what they used to be, how are you benefitting from the trade.
