Man has a wife, a high income business, location freedom, fit body, laughters and a community slowly building up. Man is everything I strive to become. Thank you for shedding a light in what is possible through sheer dedication, consistent habits and showing up everyday. Much love
Title is enough to be decent clickbait for all devs t hat want to be rich with simple code, low level knowledge in web dev to create tools that gather more than apps made by specialists :)
@@patrykkowalski8355 More than looking to be rich with simple code, I see Marc as an accountability partner in the entrepreneur/coding space that inspires beginners to become better and successful.
I think you might be able to set up Cloudflare to just act as DDoS protection without having to change any of your tech-stack, just some slight DNS configurations. You have to configure your domain to use Cloudflare, then possibly add some CNAME DNS records to Cloduflare to be able to proxy requests to Cloudfront through Cloudflare (I haven't personally tried this Cloudfront proxying part though)
This is true we do this where I work. We host everything on AWS but all our requests go through cloudflare first and then are sent over to our AWS servers. I think it was just a simple CNAME like you said, really easy
Thanks to you I switched from web development (1 client at the time) to creating SaaS products. And I will stay persistent. Thanks pal! Keep up the great work you do. You deserved the outcome you got. Regards from London!
@@cryptobro_yt I was refering to my web clients. Both are from places I used to work (ex-bosses became my clients). For me it was the best place to start. So try first in your circle, work, friends, fam etc. and then take it from there. I recently started advertising on FB, but it seems like those people are not serious. I advertise on google from now on and keep relying on word of mouth. Also, having portfolio helps. If it comes to the startup/SaaS - I am new and still figuring it out.
It's easy to see the results right now and be envious/jealous. I appreciate the comments on this didn't happen overnight and all the doubt that can come when you have tough YEARS, not days, months - tough YEARS. Congrats man.
so wholesome marc, huge inspiration! i love seeing how you optimize for a great lifestyle rather than earning as much money as possible just for the sake of earning money.
YOUR HUMILITY AND TRANSPARENCY IS ONE OF YOUR STRONG POINTS. IT'S WHAT MAKES YOU UNIQUE. ALSO GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU DIDN'T HAD A FRIEND'S WITH STRONG BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE NOR A BIG PRESENCE ONLINE. (FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN IN THE ENTREPRENEURSHIP SIDE OF TWITTER, WILL KNOW WHY I AM SAYING THIS) Also it's all about sticking to the "script" and eventually something will happen.
I like this new format of mixing parts of your day with the content. As I work on building my own indie apps I found this video to be very inspirational. Keep them coming!
Hey Marc, it was an awesome video a wholesome experience. I would like to personally thank you for everything you have done, more than the revenue and numbers I love your humbleness and approach to things. I personally have started learning to code although much thanks to AI tools but have started learning the whole process of building SaaS apps. So a big thank you for everything you do. Much appreciated 😊
Happy for you Marc....even with the money flowing in, you have gratitude for what you're receiving and still working hard to do more. Continued success!
Marc, your ability to bounce back from the server hack and still hit impressive revenue numbers with Ship Fast is truly inspiring! Implementing robust security measures is key to protecting digital assets and ensuring business continuity. 👍
Very inspiring Marc, congratulations by this long journey! Continue with you great videos and I ask you to do again build in public live streams! Best of luck mate!
Thanks man, you're pretty much my hero. I'm making the switch from web dev to building SaaS products for myself and your story is an inspiration to me.
Love these videos bro! Super inspirational to see a guy crushing it in life whilst not coming across as a guy who's trying to "flex" like so many entrepreneurs on the internet
Super video Marc! As a solopreneur mysel , I’m very inspired by your work but I can’t help but see the strong correlation between your social channels (Twitter / YT) you built and your financial and business success, which makes it very hard to relate to. You built your personal brand for years around the idea of shipping fast and built up a following on Twitter of solopreneurs who want to ship fast, so it makes sense that Ship Fast would be your top bread winner, which has really been years in the making building up an audience ready to get it off the ground. But for those of us who don’t want to build up a social persona and stay private, how do you suggest we market the products we launch? Not to take anything away from your success, but trying to find a way to learn from your experience while staying off social media mostly, thanks!
Happy to see your channel growing! How can you say you aren't smart lol? I failed with my first post on HN but after your last video I relaunched and got almost 500 visitors in a week and my first paying customer. My post only had 3 upvotes but a few good comments for feedback. Only up from here. Thanks Marc!
My first ever AWS hack was also gracefully handled by Amazon. They did force me to set up budgets and alerts, which was a good lesson overall. I think that was ~$3-4k!!
Jeez man you started a trend. With the difficulty of landing a software job for entry level and experienced developers, we are got to start seeing more devs doing their own thing until the table flips again. If you are a dev, Marc is showing us how to adapt. Blessings to you.
I am writing this comment for myself. I am a software developer who has been rejected from many jobs. In my country, you need to speak French to get a job ,they don't care about your skills. I changed my career to become a developer, but here I am, a developer without any job. I am at my lowest point; I need to help my family as they are waiting for assistance. With no money and little hope, I am determined to make it on my own. I will embark on a new journey to work on myself. I have decided to stop applying to jobs and instead create a plan to become a self-develope
Really happy to have found your channel! Thanks for the content you make - I'm in a spot where my coding skills are fairly weak, so I am looking forward to strengthening them and using ShipFast for a few product ideas. When it comes to ideas for new projects, can you make a video on your process? Thanks!
Video idea 💡how you organise your projects ? Pen and paper or some note taking app? Cause I struggle with that. Getting started and keeping track or setting goals etc. Nice vids keep it up 💪🏽
You are on your way to become a millionaire. (or you might already be) I really look up to you Marc. you give me motivation to start my own SaaS business journey.
