In this video, I give you the EXACT business plan and steps I took to make $20,000 in three months using my Langmuir Crossfire Pro plasma table.
To download the photos I mention in the video, go to my google drive at drive.google.com/drive/folder...
I am using a Crossfire Pro with a Razorweld Razorcut 45 with a harbor freight dryer and dessicant dryer alongside an ingersol rand 80 compressor.

Sir you could charge a lot of money for the content in this video. I'm an engineer for a company that writes control systems for plasma tables. Cutting art has been a side hustle and I've spent 12 years figuring out a lot of the info you shared in this video. Hats off to you. The next door app idea is genius

Dude! I'm just finishing up building my machine after a lengthy design process/construction and am about to launch into business with it. This is gold, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing this video, I'm not running firepro/langmur but that doesn't matter at all, the full view was what I was after and you delivered, big time. I'm a fabricator/engineer and have been hammering away at cnc for years now but plasma was always something I got someone else to do, now I'm that someone else. Cheers to you.

I built the JD's garage plasma table with a plasma cutter for around $1100, i had to rebuy some components and other stuff. after a couple months of slowly building it. I finally got it running this past weekend. I bought 1 sheet of 16 gauge steel, cut it into 2'x2' squares, convenient and easy. I scrapped a quarter of the sheet yet made $260 even after keeping a sign for myself and giving some to my neighbor for cheap. He helped me a bit through the project so it was the least I could do. And now it looks like ill have my next 2 sheets sold too. Im still learning the ins and outs. got myself a .9mm tip for my YesWelder plasma which works well for me. I don't have a blast cabinet or anything. I quickly found out a knotted wire wheel cleans up dross easily. And a kids plastic 3ft pool with 3 gallons of vinegar in it takes care of the mill scale rather quickly! My cheap build will pay for itself rather quickly. having a larger 4x4 or 4x8 would make things a breeze! Its a toss up of having room to work on other stuff though so I figured the 28x30 was fine. I can always weld pieces together if needed!

I also did the JD Garage table and I doubled the length of the Y-axis so I can basically handle a 2'x4' sheet. Very happy with how its been working so far

@@jensonhartmann3630 nice! I sold mine and going to a full gantry system with linear rails and ball screws. I’d like to try wood routing now. But it’ll be set up so I can go right back to cutting steel. Probably an hour or so to switch it over but I’ll have the option! My table is looking to be 1500mm X 2000mm

Also you should add some ferrite chokes to your incoming and outgoing cables. The reason is that the controller box to the frame is only separated by a couple nylon washers. So you get charge buildup resulting in feedback emi induction (from the high voltage switching involved in plasma cutting) along the wires which can disrupt lock up and or crash your computer.

Another added time saving tip if you layer a bunch of objects you can use svg to png converter take the png file import it back and then use bit tracing and it removes all the unnecessary paths automatically. This is useful especially if you make objects created from multiple objects. Even if you unite or group (if you're using inkscape) when you drop the .dxf or .svg file into your CNC processor (I use sheetcam because it's one time not recurring licensing) you'll have the path geometry if you don't remove them.

@@TheWebbRanch that's what I figured, I do powder coating and have a powder coating shop I use, but with starting a real shop now this seems like a great market to offset my plasma table cost, great video!
@rosswoolley2854
@rosswoolley2854 Год назад
@@TheWebbRanch If you want a really good rusted look use toilet cleaner and wash it all off afterwards let it dry and paint it with a water sealer for bricks. It leaves you with a multi colored rust finish and years later the appearance won't change. To get the dross off the under side grinder with a stiff wire cup wheel.

Hello! I don't manually select contours. The easiest thing by far to do is to extrude your part first and then just click the face of the part in contour selection and it will automatically set the pierce points inside the letters assuming you've got all your point loops closed correctly.
