RobTop: *Tries to create a cube that jumps spikes* Also RobTop: *Ends up making a game were people survives to extreme obstacles by repeating them thousands of times and people makes pieces of art*
This is amazing! I'm stunned by the things that the GD community is able to pull off. (by the way, what did you use to decrypt the local levels file? I've looked around but only found a way to do it in Python, and I use JS sooo)
You told me that these levels should not be compared to others, although they still get featured by robtop. You could basically take any video or animation and then convert it into the level and get rates. I think this is fabulous software and I am not opposed to you making these levels. I just think it's unfair. Like the levels are literally jaw droppingly good, to the poing of other levels not able to hold a candle to it. And you use a bot. Although it seems incredibly difficult to set up the levels and convert everything.
I'm late but hey... I want to say that this is a fantastic work, very very impressive and just awesome... Geometry dash is now so complex that we can use it for what he is not meant for, and you did it perfectly... I hope geometry dash can help you in you're future and that you can enjoy creating with it! Later I want to use geometry dash to create art or some other thing that can help me, because GD is fantastic.... I would love one day to combine GD with photoshop ect... To create such unique pieces...
no. I had to figure out how to decode the save file, and then the program recreates what that save file would look like if it had the level im making (if that makes any sense), and then rewrites the file
the people who watch your vids all came here full accepting the the possible boredom. you dont have to cut the nerdy parts out, thats what we're here for
A long time ago in a galaxy far away in the 1960s people used the level editor to make levels and they had under 10000 blocks so my notika can handle it
Remember when Nine Circles art was state of the art? That was the stone age. This is 2.11. Most things are possible in GD and RobTop might or might not be dead.
@Bradley Curtis no god eater only have a bit over 180 thousand obj The most obj lv now is 4.glowy (>270.000) 3.A daydream journey (336.000) 2.satanic circle (>360.000) 1.Kronos (>1.000.000)
This is honestly amazing. I wonder if there is a way to make this using C++. I am not very fond of using high level languages. The limitations are something I'm not very keen on. I love the freedom and the elegancy of a low level language like C++. Though I think it puts me at a disadvantage here because making something like this would be HARD in C++. Maybe I'll consider looking into Python more. Maybe.
I would argue that unless performance is very important to you, there is no reason not to use a high level language. It just makes the programming a much better experience, without having to keep track of the semicolons, memory, variable types and stuff like that. And even though people say it runs slow, you barely notice in my opinion.
@@Spu7Nix Haha no I understand all that. I don't know, I kind of like keeping track of all the curly brackets, semi colons, pointers, etc. I have just had a better all around experience writing code with C++ compared to Python or Lua. I do plan on learning GoLang soon, so maybe that will open up some more possibilities.
@@vlusky_husky I never said that, or assumed it. It's not easy, but not everyone can do it since there are mobile players, and it's not a gd thing. We earn cp by what we have in the editor, even though it's hard to make bots or whatever
0.25 blocks in half scale movie level when It will be pretty high quality if u do make it like that. Or as high quality as it gets in gd without having to use a scale hack to make it even smaller
Wow... Great work, Spu7nix. Also can we have a download link for the program or maybe create a source file for it so that we can try or commit? Plsss?? Btw ur now my 2nd gd player programmer from my subscription list, 1 out of 7 programmers in my subscriptions. :)
I hate that I have the ability to do this myself even with no knowledge about AI or bots. The reason I hate that I know how I could do this is because It means i'll end up spending ages trying
