Exactly, if you ED a safety while keeping in mind you're guaranteed acceptance, your Fin Aid package would be pretty generous compared to RD cycle; and that is specially relevant to int'ls looking for full need to be met.
your videos have helped me calm down about the application process... esp your common app essay video. im super stuck on what to write on:( gonna take it one step at a time... im planning on applying to Stanford (early restrictive action) but it sucks how I can’t apply for the rest of my colleges early bc I won’t know to continue doing apps or not until regular:( but if it’s my dream school I would commit to, should I still take that chance right? for demonstrated interest? also ur reasons for choosing a college is so simiIar to mine LOL (the location, name, and FINANCIAL aid, all super important) thank u again for ur videos!! im so glad I found u :)
For personal statement, I found it helpful to just bs one and see where it ends up, especially with a certain UChicago supplemental essay. Don't obsess over it, and when you get a tiny bit of an idea, just roll with it 💛
this was literally SO helpful !!! we have super similar reasoning and it kinda helped me solidify the decisions in my list and my top schools. i dont really know what i want to do either so hearing you say it so confidently and give all these other ways to look into colleges was so reassuring :)
You repeated multiple times that your arguments are superficial, but I'm actually impressed by how mature and realistic you are! Your reasoning definitely isn't superficial - you made a lot of valid (and somehow unpopular) points in this video. Thank you!
i know its super old stuff but thank you so much for all of your videos!! really some of the most genuine and helpful stuff I've come across, its helped me a ton
She is so beautiful. I found her videos very helpful. I have been stuck in the middle of the personal essay even though I started my application process a month ago. Thank you so much for saving me in the storm.
thank you for these videos! I’ve been binge watching them for the past hour and you have some really helpful tips!! Also sorry if this is random but you kinda look like dahyun from twice!
I'm an international student. I'm choosing universities in US because I want change in my culture and I've had a goal of studying in US since 4th grade lol. I have THE EXACT same reasons as you, like I CANNOT stress this enough which is also why I'm binging your video deadass. I have checked so many universities and none of them seem to provide any proper financial aid to international students. I would definitely aim for Ivies but I don't have good ecs since there is almost 0 exposure to ecs in India, in my country there is very less exposure to Ecs which is why mine aren't that strong. Are there any good universities which help international students, so far ik few Texas universities do, but like I absolutely love your videos and ig that's why I'm spamming lol. Love you!
im sorry! i dont really know a lot about applying as an international student. i wish i did :( good luck on everything though and thanks so much for liking my channel!
Consider looking for schools that are need-blind for international students. These will accept you regardless of how much money you need. Those include Yale, Harvard, MIT etc.
Thank you for this video!! It's really helpful!!! I'm really having a hard time shortlisting my list of colleges and i LITERALLY have the same preferences as you do ,so this will make it easier for me for choose . Thank you for all of your videos, and Congrats on UPenn acceptance!!!
Loved the video! Wishing everyone on the college journey good luck! Schools I applied to: USC UCLA UCSB UC Berkeley Michigan Oregon Clemson UNC Chapel Hill
idk if you remember me from middle school & swimming,, heyyy 😗✌🏼this is some of the best advice college wise ! I definitely wish I had a better handle and maturity on these things
What do you do if you are just above average student and you want good aid from out of state private school? (For reference I have tons of APs and Honors but a 3.34 gpa and 1300 SAT)
Hey ima about to submit my common app resume and I was wondering how u were so confident in deciding to ED to UPenn so if it’s fine with u, can u say what u got on ur act and gpa at school?
@@haleykang8156 Ohh thanks, I am applying for early decision there and was wishing to see more opinions on it. Could you tell me any pros or cons you had prepared, if that is possible? Thank you
Hi I'm also a high school student in South Korea who wants to study abroad. If possible, can you mention which international high school you have attended to in South Korea? btw all your videos are superb;) Thanks so much for the help!
Yep. But if you don’t want to apply to the Ivy League apply to the CSS financial aid profile. They have all kinds of schools from Baylor to Umiami to Northwestern to Tulane
