this has something of "2001 A Space Odyssey" your ball, like the monolith, is an object with no meaning or context in the space where you shot it which makes it all very strange and interesting. Nice work

I've been blasting through your videos during my quarantine (call it pathetic, a waste of time) and they inspired me to pick up my old Minolta again! + I really dig your first photo project, the orbs bring this space/galactic feeling that was so popular in the 50's.
Man the final images looked really captivating and I loved your experimental approach. Love it that you take the crap out of yourself, but seriously you deserve more credit for this series!
And, on top of all the other cool aspects of this project, what better way to get a picture of YOU on every page than to put a reflective ball in the frame?!! Perfect. You are in the reflection... aren't you? Or am I out in left field on this? That's OK. I'm comfortable out here.
I heard you mention this on the Analog Talk podcast. I've done a few photo books with Adorama Pix ( now called Printigue) and an over seas company called ZNO. Highly recommend both of those. Nice book btw. Enjoying the channel.

I just noticed your hat in this video, and assume it’s either a St Louis Cardinals baseball hat, or from one of their minor league teams. I’ve been a life long Cardinals fan, and live in Springfield, Missouri which is the home of the AA Springfied Cardinals minor league team. Are you a Cardinals fan too Jason? I know it’s not a photography question, but I had to ask! The photo book looks great, and is inspiring since I’m trying to see about the logistics of possibly making a zine myself. I'm just wondering how many frames or images you browsed for the best 18 photos to land in your photo book. Like you, I also delve in photo books for my photos on several genre but they're not in print although these are print-ready. Your photo book may not be up to the expectation of others but I laud and salute the effort.
Hey!!! I have just watch the video soooo good. Makes me think about this mexican architect Luis Barragan. He used to set reflective glass spheres in the rooms to live the place in a non lineal way which is a bit weird because he is know for some masive prisms. Anyway is there a chance to buy book? The biggest thing I'm confused about is WTF did you use a film camera and not a dslr camera 😂😂 joking i love film cameras but holy is the film expensive.
People sell 35mm film for next to nothing on eBay, Craigslist etc. They're usually expired and/or drugstore films but still great for experimenting. 120 film is more difficult to find though.
