By the way I do know that I spelled Toroid Toiroid @ 0:25. LOL This link leads to a google docs page that shows my schematic and some other info docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vQ8wCJTwDVnj_xtaXubASdz6n9JKMyKQPHzIoSmeUzt8jYEpDiptqd0hhvTXAivE_6BgGfLhk0BgaH_/pub
I clicked onto this video, thinking from the thumbnail that it might've been something I'd seen already, and while it is like other plasma toroid videos, I was pleasantly surprised by how you presented this information. My favorite thing about this is how you described all of the things you tried in chronological order including points where you mentioned you forgot to record, and what your initial thoughts were of the problem as you tried to solve it.
watched your old videos and aren’t you the smartest kid ever??? i’m a grown up and i feel like i have SO much to learn. old enough to be your mother and you’re inspiring me 😊 keep up with the good work!!!!
Thanks so much! The super stable plasma toroid, with the wide air gap coil, gave me a eureka moment. Now I have a much better understanding of how these work.
welp, i just found this channel, and im impressed. wishing you much luck on your future youtube maker video career! i can definitely see serious potential in the making here. keep at it! liked, subbed, and of course, heres my comment!
Hey there! Subbed for my daughter, she loves these projects! On your channel, keep up the good work! Here are some quick tips: You've got this! Focus on the fun and why you started. Failing is okay, it's part of the learning process! Make videos you enjoy, the right audience will find you. Haters gonna hate, focus on the positive comments that keep you going. Take breaks if it gets overwhelming, RU-vid should be enjoyable! Its tempting to you other videos as a benchmark for the value of your projects, remember that making those epic videos takes a lot of time and experience and many of the other channels are people's careers and full time job. P.S. You might like these channels too (for inspiration): TechIngredients, This Old Tony, GreatScott!, Adam Savage's Tested. Good luck on your RU-vid adventures!
Finally a video that takes me back to when the You in RU-vid. Also congratulations on winning the physics prize! I hope the prize money was enough to offset the expenses or at least off set it somewhat
this is absolutely beautiful, and I feel like I've been transported back to 2010 with the video style. I absolutely love cool physics projects like this and am super hyped to see more from you!!
This is such a wonderful video :] I love the progress along the way even with missing certain things you still put in that you missed them. I find that fantastic showing testing, failures and success as well. Great work!!! :]
Super impressive results, Go Girl (gender neutral encouragment) . such a stable ring. I also have a Nice-power PSU, its great. Science needs explorers like this. Best wishes.
Keep up the great work! Keep thinking and testing new things! And start a way we can donate to you to help fund your next projects. Never give up and keep pushing the limits
VERY COOL. keep up the good work. you already have a good attitude, and it shows. that will go far. got my subscription. interested to see what you think of in the future. good luck!
Appreciate your honesty with all the times you should have been filming but weren't! I think you know what the answer is: film everything and pick and choose later what goes in final video! If you can discipline yourself to do this, you'll go a long way.
Very cool seeing another person do this. until now i think only a few people have successfully made a plasma toroid and posted it on RU-vid, The science behind it i believe was only recently re discovered and put out their for free, it's cool to see these machines being made and used. The glass orb like thing filled with whatever gas it's filled with is the most expensive part from what i remember from watching another Video as in the orb is usually obtainable for Hundreds of Dollars in USD. I'm not sure why The Orb costs so much tho. Perhaps it's mostly to do with the cost of the Gas itself.
I just randomly stumbled uppon this video :3 good work! I thought about trying it out with a plasma globe some time but if the pressure isn’t right… i might try with a mason jar under vacuum though. Just need to find the motivation to throw together the circuit. Thank you for the video! The toroids look awesome
FINALLY!!.....your video provided me with the information i've been searching for for such a loooooong time,,,knowing that there are arcs produced on the primary coil confirms it is high voltage, not the normal kind tho, buuuuuut also means i can do away with the self oscilator circuit and just use an augmented high voltage ac....by itself i suspect the ac alone wont work though cz the impulse from the capacitative discharge is necessary to create the toroid,,,but as the toroid in this nature is not what im going for,all i needed to know was driver coil conditions and that little shock you got told me everything i need to know so I can do without it,and progress with the circuit augmentations,,,,anyway thank you very much for your efforts, youve helped shine light on something i was stuck on for abit.
I adore you and your Electroboom shirt AND your cool dang toroidal plasma generator. I might have to make one now... Subbed, have a good day, cya next time! ;)
