Thank you for your video but I still have one big unanswered question: how do you ensure that the colors you see on the screen are what you get on the prints?. Every computer screen is different and the colors on the screen may not be the same colors on the print. What tools do Gelato provide to achieve color matching? Did you do a sample print first and made further adjustments on your computer and repeated the process until you get perfect color match?
Enjoyed the video. I am a total newbie to canvas prints. How is your signature handled when the wrapped edge of your painting is mirrored and printed on the side of the canvas? Does Gelato remove the signature on the side of the painting before it is mirror printed? Thank you
For such amazing work, I’m sorry but I’m baffled you’re not using a dslr and tripod to capture your painting. To minimise shaking and capture the art effectively, from the perfect straight on angle, to make sure proportions are correct etc. You can always adjust the colours, colour temp etc in photoshop after on your computer. And if it’s shot RAW even better as you can change the blacks and whites etc. iPhones cheat and ad a fake ‘vibrancy’ filter, they are not proper cameras! There’s no way an iPhone can capture all the intricate details, brush strokes, colours that a DSLR can pick up, they pick up more details than our eyes do! Your work deserves better. How can you stretch an iPhone photo to a 50x70cm print and persevere details? as a fellow artist I’m shocked to see this.
