I bought 3 dolls from Andrea so far, they bring me so much joy, I had them for two years now 🩷🌻 her work is unmatched, it’s crazy to know she’s only been doing this for 3 years, her art is truly worth every penny🩷 I’m not a mother, I don’t have mental illness, I just like cute realistic baby dolls, you don’t have to think people who own them are weird, it’s just like collecting Disney figure, we reborn collectors love these reborn dolls and the process of bringing them to life is a long process for both the artist and the buyer🩷 no regret at all, best purchase ever, it’s expensive but worth it for me
These realistic dolls can also help women suffering from dementia! It helps them relive some of the only memories they still have - of bring a young mother. It’s a beautiful thing to watch them sing to the babies, rock them and love them!
@@Jpbawlings I hear you. I only know what I’ve seen myself with my mom and other women who have dementia. They truly believe the dolls are real, yet have no conceptual understanding of what that would mean - much like a very young child who thinks a doll as a real baby - but has no actual understanding of what that means or entails. When one suffers from advanced dementia, there is little joy or happy experiences because the entire world around them makes little to no sense. But these realistic dolls do help them feel needed and they also remind them and spark old memories of happier days - that they think are still happening because of the dolls. My hope is you never have to experience having a loved one with dementia. It is a terrible, tragic disease. It’s like watching the one you love evaporate before your eyes, bit by bit each day. For me, the dolls are a way to see my mom with a smile - something that rarely ever happens now because so little of her mind can function in any normal way. She can’t read anymore because she can’t remember the line she read right after she read it. So there is no “story” to her. She can’t write. She can’t talk on the phone. She can’t ask for what she wants or needs. She doesnt even know most of the time who I and her other (adult) children are. She’s lost and frustrated, but has no capacity to ask questions to clarify things or express herself. She doesn’t even know she doesn’t know. It’s like being trapped in your body, without cognitive awareness, but with terrifying fears because nothing makes sense. All the best to you.
@@papabear2515 I'm so sorry about your mom..my husband was getting Alzheimer's when he passed away in a head on car crash..I'm almost glad it happened before it took him over. Nomader what I was going to have my heart broken.
Anyone who says that these types of dolls look like corpses do not know what they are talking about. I know a woman who works in the NICU with sick and premature babies in the hospital and she says that they do not look like healthy babies, since there skin tone and texture ect change when they pass away. These dolls look like healthy babies only without movement. They are beautiful. I work at a university we use them as examples of what a healthy baby should look like when they are born ect.
One reborn baby I saw, my friend's daughter carrying it. It has a terrible blue tinge to it, and it certainly looked dead. I had to pull out everything I had to disguise my horror. Thankfully the ones done well are beautiful..we got given several at the aged care facility I work at, after I put out a request. Done by an amateur, I had to bin them, they were absolutely terrible
Many people from other countries don't know about Mediacorp and our local movies. They are the standard family drama, low budget variety cooking shows etc. Tell me how is this considered creative when whatever they make are pretty much the same?
They are absolutely beautiful when done well. I remember seeing realistuc baby dolls advertised in a magazine when i was a kid n was positively fascinated, reading about how realistic their skin felt and that they were weighted to feel like a real baby. If i had one, id probably become one of those crazy people, dressing them up n taking them for walks, etc. unfortunately my husband would not be too accomodating
You know what wouldn’t they be neat and she probably could do this if she could take a picture of your real baby and turn it into a realistic doll of your child then I might consider buying one. My God.
Fantastic work even if i feel its creepy that people has them. But i can understand different aspekts of having them like perhaps lost a Child, dementis, collectors of real looking dolls etc I have seen people with dementis that got a fake cat that says mjau, purring, lifting a paw and make movements so interaction starts. Its fantastic to see. But these folks cant do anything- have i got that right? But if people can feel themselves more whole or satisfied of them- WHO am i to judge then.
i have five kids, but the youngest is 7 and I am crazily wishing I had another baby around to hold and kiss. I think this is a good idea, to get one of these dolls and just hold it once in a while to get my baby fix !!! i can just enjoy the feeling of holding a baby and kissing a baby!! I am wondering if she can also create the shape of the baby, would love for the doll to look like my kids when they were a baby!
No doubt the lady is extremely talent and the baby dolls are worth the price tag. I still think that owning the dolls is creepy though. My superstitious mind is telling me that the silicon doll will enjoy my pampering and call out to me 3 am in the morning. Lol
i think these bbs are a godsend for those who love them...i saw a clip where the reborns were moving..eyes lips limbs..was this just ai or do they actually exist?
Wonderfull, but the misic is disturbing loud and hectic. Music should be soft and calming down. Video would feel much more healing and much more according to the need of little children.
