You can put rice in the mold with the material in it that will get You a close measurement just add a little more

Thank you for sharing your technique! Quick question. Does the wood HAVE to be stabilised when casting with resin? Anything strange happen when just using standard timber scales with resin? Thanks!

I stabilise all my wood first as when you shape the handles the wood will be exposed so needs stabilising really. Hope that helps 😊

Very interesting I’m loving the colours. Does the polished resin handles create hot spots on your hands with prolonged use.

What do you suggest doing to prevent air bubbles in the epoxy if I dont have a vacuum chamber ? Thanks i love your work and Your Amazing videos!!!

Keep the resin warm, 20c as an average, Pour thinish layers if possible, Also vibration can work, Maybe rig a sander up so its vibrating your mould and hot air gun to remove surface bubbles. Hope that helps a bit 😊

@@Exmoorblades if i do 5 layers of 1 cm each does all the layers combine or it is visible to see 5 different levels ? Also does a little blowtorch can be used as a heat gun ? Thanks in advance!

@@eitanbendor5330 Depending on the resin, but you shouldn't see the layers if the colour is exactly the same, I use a blowtorch as in too lazy to get the heat gun out of the drawer 🤣

Just tubes of Silicone Cathy, if you do a search its very easy to do.

How do you stop the wood floating to the top of the resin?

The wood is the same thickness as the resin and is also stabilised so is heavier than normal, Also a wooden skewer helps to push any rising wood down 🥰
