This is how I build the HEN BITCHER box call. Master Guide Game Calls.I started building calls in the late 90s .The Hen Bitcher came out in April of 99 . I stopped production of this call in 2008 at #248 ,but kept making the HORNY HEN, WOODS WENCH,and my CUSTOM CALL line . I am building this call for my own use this spring.

Great calls bought mine in 2000 its a horn hen works great. Unfortunately my grandson shut mine in the car door last season. Hope to buy another soon .good job AL

Hi CT Trapperman! Great video and amazing sound out of that call. I moved to CT from Mississippi and have been living in Vernon for 3 years. I'm getting geared up for the start of the turkey hunting season tomorrow! Anyways I'd love to have a Hen Bitcher call if you're still making them. Sir I would like to know ware to buy one of your box calls I just found your site and that's the best sounding box call I have tried making one and me an my wife both got in turkey hunting a few years back and now retired and doing more hunting . sounds great ! do you have to do much tuning other then adjust the paddle screw ?

Good question Red, It depends on the call. Different wood combos are gonna sound different . Even how you cut the wood with the grain on different species will sound different. Just gotta try various things like different lids. But the short answer is on a quality call you should only have to adjust the lid screw. If I cant get a call to talk to my standards It gets chucked in the wood stove.

I drilled some 1/2" holes in the bottom of my box caller. Seemed to make it louder.
