you should really do more tutorials like that, on the small stuff that people who dont work in the game industry don't realize that most of the work is stuff like that. and like the other video that I mentioned about the cycles speed that is really important to know.

Awesome breakdown. I'm a blender user but this info still really hit the nail on the head for what I needed. Thank you! With one question, why have the character translating through space? Shouldn't you use the root control for that matched to the timing of your forward steps?
Very interesting work flow and really nice results! From a game engine perspective wouldn't starting away from center make the character slide backwards out of the capsule when blending from the walk cycle? Or would that then be on the technical animator to deal with engine side?
Do I have to consider to move towards the master controller while animating the walk cycle? Or could i do the poses in World center space (like i am normally used to) and let the master controller blend into the new one in the idle animation? I hope you understand what i mean :D
