You are an angel! I just moved in with my partner and we sat down and discussed our spending habits and how we need better tools to track our spending and budget. This is everything we needed in 16 minutes! ❤
For the excel sheet either share one that no one can edit and the person that downloads it will have to make a copy of it, or just copy what you have in excel into google sheets and share that.
Love the content, thanks! A video of you going over best HYSAs, credit cards, how many savings accounts to have, how to invest (step-by-step) would be super useful and informative 😅
Omg thank you so much for sharing!!! 🥰 As someone who is now responsible for my own finances this template is so helpful as a guideline and I will definitely use it!!!
Thanks for sharing! Yesterday I was talking to my boyfriend about your amazing notion pages. And suddenly, this video posted! Thanks a lot😀 Already downloaded and I'm setting it🙂
Would love to see more Notion how to videos - I've just go it and I love your aesthetic as well as your explaining, really straightforward and easier to understand than some other videos I've seen
When a bill comes in. I just write it on the calendar on the wall. When it's payday, I look who I should owe between my paydays. Never was late and always had the funds to pay in full. What ever is sitting in checking and savings. I know my bill amounts, pretty much every month. So I know how much of money I can touch for other expenses and wants. Without interrupting my bill payments and necessaries each payday or end of month. That's how I always kept my budget in check.
Thank you for this vid, very helpful! As a freelancer myself, I normally add the pdf of the invoice so as to have everything in one place when it comes to accounting. Maybe it can be helpful to someone out there 🥰
This is so helpful!! Random question, do you have one savings account that you keep all your savings in or do you have an account for each area you’re saving for?
Yesss so I have a few savings accounts 😅 I have one for my rainy day (high yield saver with Barclays), one for travel / fun savings (high yield, easy access), and a couple for my mortgage savings (2-3 different high yield saving bonds with different interests, high yield saver) etc!
OMG this is a very helpful video and information, I suffer from high anxiety about finances and am constantly trying to find better solutions to the problem And how do you change the currency?
I love the notion template!! i cant figure out how to turn some pound symbols into us dollar symbols but besides that its soooo nice!!! Thank you for sharing this!!
Hi! I don't know if you still need the explanation, but here it is: go to the category in the table that you want to change. Click on it. Click on ‘edit property’ and then click on ‘pound’ and change it into your currency. I hope it helps.
Just wondering if there is a specific reason why you prefer using Notion to record your spending instead of Excel, or Google Sheets in your case? As I would imagine spreadsheet software offers data analysis and plethora other useful features? Is there any benefit using Notion for accounting? Though it looks user friendly..
Thank you soo much ... i am starting my new life as an adult and start to work after uni... Weirdly they never teach us how to do the stuffs you actually want to do in adulting so this was a very informational and needed video.
Nice! Really love the function yo track everything ❤ But lets say I want to track my student loan, and I’ve been paying that for quite some time. So, do I just put the remained value ? Or I have to manually add each payment for every month that I’ve paid?
Thanks for sharing your templates and explaining how to use them. I'd like to ask you a quick question. When I tried to implement it in my management system, I saw something I don't understand. In the categories of the "Repeat Expanses Template" page, there's a relationship named "Data - Fletcher" that leads to a "No access" file. Is this an error or have I missed something?
Personally I have 90% of my money in cd’s (unfortunately interest rates isn’t high here), when i get money 40-50% is put right into the cd, besides rent, utilities, communications I don’t pay for any subscription services, I don’t have any debt,I only allow myself to spend at most one month worth on something I want although sometimes bad luck strikes and gets me to spend more for repairs maintenance ect. So i use the bank to save money and excel to track spending
