Beth Young - Make sure you do marbles. I’ve seen some use the glass beads that are flat on one side, and it doesn’t spin as well.

I don’t know, my kids let me I guess... But, I stick the stacking bin under the pipes, all room. Holds a sinful of water. Won’t have to do the replacement shel tutorial, at least. ( Not that I don’t love plumbers, but $$$ they can be expensive, and garbage disposals were $90. in 2011!)

We need more pure spirits, like you, here. ps. Granted I'm talking a lot of phooey here, but if you were "in the neighborhood," I would sincerely welcome you and enjoy having you as my VIP (Very Important Person) guest. I have never had a big kitchen. The best rule of thumb if you have a small space, only keep what you use assessable. If you have a place to store things that you only use seasonally for cooking/baking get them out of your normal every day space. For one week put everything out in a bin or box that you used. If you have a big enough box, do this for two weeks. You will be amazed at how little you actually need on a daily basis. Seriously - it will work. Then take everything out of your cupboards and only put back what you’ve been using. If there’s room for some other things that you think you might use along the way, put it back. Otherwise you don’t need it or you can store it in another area of your living space.

I can agree with that and I would get those everyday things together as much as possible even if they are not really related. Then you just go to a couple places for all your stuff. Try it with your very fav mosf often used items like your skillet, your knife, stirring spoon, spices, mixing bowl etc. Create a go to single place (or one of a couple places, maybe a drawer and a shelf) where nine time of ten what you want is there. Easy to get easy to put away. You can also do that with your meal planned items too...pull pantry stuff for that weeks menu and put them in ONE cabinet that is off limits for snacking. I don't know if this makes sense or not. It works for me. It is a very individual way of doing things that may look different for each person.

Could you do a video on organizing a teenage/college room? I still live with my parents, but I have so many different zones that normally wouldn't be in a bedroom if I didn't live with my parents. I have a king sized bed, a vanity, bookshelves, dresser with a tv on it. I have a small closet, which needs to hold everything. Currently, in my closet, I have my clothes, wrapping station box, my luggage, out of season clothes in a container, card container, extra storage. I know I need to declutter, but some videos that are based on small rooms for people that have to fit so much in their rooms would be great. Thanks for all your videos. I always get inspired and I'm really excited to declutter this year because I'm getting married and going to be moving so I want to declutter before I have to pack everything up.

Are you going to a store that is actually named "Dollar Tree"? There are other stores using "Dollar" in their names ...Family Dollar and Dollar General where I live. They do not stock the same inventory at $1.00 per item as what Dollar Tree sells.

Maureen Gannaway we have a dollarama in my area (Ontario) and they have most of these products. Make sure you check the dollar stores in bigger cities though, they have better stuff.

Clear is the definition of visually distracting! Lol You can literally see everything inside, all shapes & colors of objects. You’re better off with solid colors for aesthetic unless you’re going for utility & want to be able to see everything from the outside.

HI Kathryn, I wish I could give this video two thumbs up! There were just golden ideas and quotes all the way through here. That idea about the cake pans and marbles is Platinum! One thing you showed me but didn't say (so you might want to use it in a future video) is how putting things in bins on shelves (especially upper shelves) allows you to pull it all at once and see stuff that would be in the back of the shelf and probably be forgotten about. This video is gold. Please do more like it! Thanks!

Dose the Dollar Tree sponsor people on RU-vid? I ask because I have not seen them as a sponsor. Kathryn is amazing! Because of her I now know where everything is in my pantry and it's a wonderful thing! Ofcourse I did it all with things from where else... "THE DOLLAR TREE!!!" 👍💜

Thank You Thank You Thank You. Every time I would go in to Dollar Tree to pick up organizers I would walk out empty handed because I was so overwhelmed. Then when I returned home I would be kicking myself for making the trip and not buying at least one bin.

I decluttered so much today in my bedroom. It feels so good! Then I went to the dollar tree and bought the square bins for my craft room closet because they stack. I finally knew what to get!!

I have only recently started dollar tree shopping. I can’t believe how much I’ve organized! My junk drawer now has interlocking trays with everything sorted!! Thank you for the inspiration!!
