I'm excited to suggest topic for next video Can do video regarding how to be competitive residents? With many tasks residents should do it From reading to finishing the clinic and oncalls I really finding ophthalmology residency exciting and fun

No single number. I had only one in JAMA Ophtho.

What about dermatology ? How many publications required ? Is it difficult to get into for non us IMGs ?

Dude, it's the MOST difficult to get into for US MDs. Of course it'll be borderline impossible for non us IMGs

Does the type of research matter, and is some favored over others? Bench research vs case reports, etc.

I think clinical research is probably preferred and studies above case reports.
