I'm not in medical school, yet, but I have watched a few videos to see how people memorize/study in med school. Your strategy by far is definitely going to be the best (thinking we have the same learning style). Thank you greatly for sharing. All the best, Blessings!!
@@IntentionalMarriages I'm in Los Angeles, California and Matty is in Richmond Virginia. yea I remember you telling us that your son volunteered for extra COVID shifts and that was my first impression of him. he's fighting the good fight
@@KoiAcademy Thanks. He's moved onto cardiovascular ICU. Really tough because his staff keeps getting hit with covid. So how in the world are you guys doing your videos?! haha
Your notes are so detailed! I definitely could have been more diligent on my studying while in college, but it's cool to see how organized and well put-together yours are. This is great for all kinds of students!
I hate these titles like "How I memorized everything in medical school". Most content in medical school if you did deep enough is fairly conceptual and integrated. I would say about 10% of content in medical school is pure memorization but the rest is logical. If it was all memorization how would Drs remember anything at all!?
Omg..I wasn't rlly open to moving to a new app/site for flashcards cuz I was like it's gonna be a dupe of all the other sites I'm currently using but boy was I wrong...I saw a vid on tiktok about anki then someone commenting remnote then I searched and saw about this girl studying smart and how her notes were made into flashcards in just a few seconds! And I was like..omg😮😮😮 Finally trying remnote for the next s.y.
Hi, appreciate your patience in trying it out, it's not the simplest app to use but it pays off if you stick with it. We are constantly trying to make it simpler to use by getting more feedback, so anything you feel is too difficult please let me know :)
Hello Mike and Matty, Thank you for your series on RemNote. I would like to know if is there a way for recording voice for studying a foreign language? hearning the original pronunciation and recording our voice to compare it with the original voice record?
Hello! Wanted to ask if there was a way to do Spaced Repetition leading up to a certain exam date? Is it also possible to share my documents to another user for them to edit and add more flashcards? Thank you! 😊
Sorry , I might have missed something. I don't see how the flash cards are made "automatically" on this video. I have been using Remnote for a week now and I am obsessed with it! Please point me to the right place about the automatic generation of the flash cards. Right now I am doing the front of the card, >>, then back of the card.
you can export your notes in markdown files, but i don’t think necessarily as a “hard copy” with similar formatting 😅 not yet at least haha, thanks for watching!
Why have I not discovered this earlier?! I am using Notion and Anki but Remnote seems like THE solution to my med school struggles. Thank you so much guys for sharing
Not sure if you still reply to this. Thinking about moving to RemNote. My biggest concern is that when I do flashcards, Anki shows the additional information (e.g. Sketchy picture) or UWorld notes after I answer correctly. This helps to refresh the bigger picture. Is there a way for RemNote flashcards to show additional information instead of just revealing the reverse flashcard? Thanks!
Mike and Matty, have you used SuperMemo, and if so, what is your opinion? I ask because Dr. Wozniak, who created SuperMemo, is the pioneer in the development of the Spaced Repetition algorithm. His latest version, built into SuperMemo 15, is the most advanced and most accurate version, according to Wozniak. Anki uses an earlier version of the SuperMemo algorithm. How does SuperMemo's Spaced Repetition algorithm compare to that of RemNote?
Yes definitely, we have used both SuperMemo and Anki and both have been key inspirations in our work with RemNote. With RemNote, you can switch between using Anki's algorithm or RemNote's algorithm, but we are going to continue to improve upon it. Working with Dr. Wozniak would be a dream!
