As a young officer in the Indian Navy, I mustered all my courage to call, speak & meet Ms Dimple Kapadia. This is my story of how I met her.

Stumbled upon your video and you just freshened up the story telling style as my dad. Retired naval officer (1976batch). This is how he shared his story of meeting Jackie Shroff while driving along Aksa beach. The stay in Colaba, the Lion Gate memories, the navy balls…aawwwhhh!! It all came back 😊

The last bit of forgetting number was so interesting. I was hearing a lecture about how our brain organises our different types of memories. This is probably the longest storage of short term memory. Like we remember the grocery list and we forget it after shopping. Perhaps when the number was registered, your brain subconsciously decided that you have to meet.

Totally loved this. Your voice is incredible. And even more incredible is the way you narrated the whole story without using any cuss words (except the "fuck" towards the last which is more of an exclamation) unlike your peers in the stand up comedy scene. Wonderful story telling. All the best!

What do you mean "the era of Mayapuri"? It started in 1882 and is still published today. The film version started in 1974. In fact it is still one of the largest circulated film magazines in India. So anyone alive today is from the era of the magazine Mayapuri.

I still remember in my childhood I saw birthday section in glammer(used to come with navbharat newspaper everySaturday)it was ravina tondon's birthday with her home address. I rushed to the general store bought a birthday card (we called it greetingcard) and shopkeeper asked mi "Kiska birthday hai?" And I said "Ravina tondon ka?". Still remember his weird expression 😆

I can totally relate with you. I am forty eight years old and that time boys used to take it on rent in one rupee. Girls mostly used to read grahshobha or grahlakshmi that's rent was fifty paise pr day. We also used to note the address of celebrities in our notebooks back page. Those were golden days

Have been on a dinner with miss india sindhura gadde in 2005 sponsored by reliance had a very long dinner date n exchanged numbers too then met her again in chandigarh too. Thats my only celebrity meeting but loved it as i won a quiz contest and den mer her 5 star hotel stay airfare etc all paid 😃

Sir, i used to open news paper and find the organizations which recruit aspirants without any education. I used to ask them 100 questions and the calls were getting forwarded. My duty gets over within 4 hours and the routine starts over again... At the gangway..
