I just came to your channel or was on my home screen. I just got done watching the video you made less than 2/3 months ago about being single, finding yourself, and making changes. Now you have met the love of your life, you are making a couples channel, etc. Clara, i am 42. I've been married very happily for 17 years. I really hope this works out. I think you may be setting yourself up here too be EXTREMELY sad or disappointed in the future, and i hope i am wrong. I remember being your age and thinking the same thing. I really hope you protect your mental wellbeing and positive progress you have made, and listen to your gut always.
I feel like the reason the comments are so overwhelmingly positive is because of the demographic of her audience skews very young. Of course I want her to be happy, but it feels like there’s something off. Introducing him by saying “I found my other half” right off the bat, is cause for concern, imo. It’s either love bombing or that miraculously rare, pretty much nonexistent type of romance that we have all seen in movies. But then there’s also that short where she answered the question “why am I always with my boyfriend?” And that gives me the feeling that she might be in danger of becoming codependent with him in this relationship. It really bothered me that she talked in another vid about how they have a perfect relationship and perfect communication. Even if they do last, of course they feel it's perfect - they haven't known each other long enough to recognize each other's flaws and strengths. I'm sure I thought my fiance was perfect after a few months as well, and now, 6 or 7 years later, we recognize each other's flaws AND strengths. We complement each other well - where I'm weak, he's strong and vice versa. We push each other to be better. I've seen him through his mom's cancer and his sisters death. He's seen me through grad school and personal struggles. THAT'S why I love him. You simply can't have that kind of life connection after 3 months. To pretend otherwise is naivety at best.

Now the consept changed to these how i met the "love of my life" - sad but true, such things rarely exist anymore. I have been married twice and i have got kids with three different women nowadays = i would say that the term "love of my life" should be used after living for 5 yrs. under the same roof and if it still seems ok, then i would use such terminology. From my perspective it takes 2-3 years to get to know the bad sides of someone and to know someone i need to know the both sides of the coin.
It's mostly true but not in all cases, not saying anything about their relationship. But from my personal experience it's very rare but sometimes you find a person and just know he/she's the right one for you and even if you both disagree on few things,you can handle it and talk it out. (considering the person is mature enough to do that)
And that´s why i said "...such things rarely exist". I guess this ever changing culture around us has an impact in this. For example my grandparents were married for 69 years before they passed away (both during the same month) and they lived the times when things were repaired/solved out unlike nowadays when people commonly just bin everything broken and bann someones phone number etc. @@raburesu2702
