The Heather story really bugs me cos I don't really see what Ted does wrong. This becomes more and more of a recurring theme as the show goes on imo where mine and the creator's moral compasses don't quite seem to align.

Yeah, Ted was not in the wrong at all. They literally staged it to look exactly how he reacted to it as, and then tried to take the moral high ground? Also Heather trying to act all grown up and mature, when she sold all his furniture, not as a teen, not many years back, but 9 months ago. Ted was right, and Heather remains an immature child by trying to prove herself grown up. And the whole 'Barney would never have sex with Teds sister' thing rings hollow when he only a months back had sex with Robin after exclaiming so many times about "No sex with your bros ex".
