Retired 12 surgical tech. Been top side 2 years.....dumpster fire is a kind way if saying it. The entire industry needs a serious restructure. I still don't understand why the industry is 10 toes deep on working Healthcare workers to deaths and require overnight and 24 hr call. How's that safe?? Best thing I ever did was leave it all behind
Teacher here. No experience with nursing, but I absolutely believe you when you say that it has turned into a dumpster fire because these days almost every social service job has. We can’t keep teachers. The rollover rate at a lot of schools, especially urban or inter city, is ridiculous. One school I was at was making yearly trips to countries like the Philippines and India to try and recruit teachers and lure them in with the promise of naturalization. If that hasn’t already started in hospitals, I can almost guarantee it will.
discover debt is eating me up with that interest too, and she also came in clutch and gave me a chance when i was jobless while needing dental work lol. happy to see you paying it off, hopefully that will be me soon.
This is so inspiring. First of all - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I'm also turning 23 in March. And second - good for u queen! You're doing so great with your budgeting journey. 💙
Happy 🎉birthday I'm so proud 👏 of you I started my journey in November and I been binge watching Alot of yall...I'm 42 and has never had a credit card but you got your priority in tack baby and everything we do gone have its bad percs...❤keep pushing and put God 1st...you and the little one about to shine..keep thriving beautiful 😍
I am so proud of you! You paid off at least 10k of that just from pure grit and determination with money from your own hard work at your job!!! I want to challenge you to not use those cards at all in the future (not a popular opinion). Also, it would be really cool if you started to save up for the next semester of school so you won't have to take out debt for that. Something to think about, and I know you can do it. Congratulations and Happy Birthday!!!
It is very true. I was a certified nurses assistant for almost 10 years. I loved the job however it is a very stressful, physically laborious, selfless job. More often than not CNA’s are overwhelmed and under appreciated. Once I had a patient load of 30 because we were short handed. Nurses did not always like to help. Luckily one other CNA picked up an extra shift so we worked the whole patient load together but we were both worn out at the end of the night. People don’t understand you are feeding, bathing, toileting, rolling, changing beds, shaving, picking up etc. and assisting patients with day to day living and everyday tasks. Generally the people you work with make the job harder because they are lazy, unkind, or both. Not always the case but it was generally speaking about fifty percent of the time at the nursing homes I worked for. I’m no longer a CNA now but I’m glad the opportunity was available to me. My husband is in the United States Airforce and I truly recommend it. The military still pays for one’s college, medical insurance, and on base housing provided in return for your service. Wishing you the best.
Budgeting and healthcare, my two favorite topics in one video! My prn situation has been similar and all I say atp is “small things to a giant”. Cause imma get them letters behind my name REGARDLESS.
If the negative comment came from someone who wasn’t a nurse or a medical staff… just brush it off. I’m a nurse and honestly I believe (non-medical) people will never be able to grasp the craziness of nursing. It takes a lot out of you. I also believe you have the right mindset with re-taking your med math test… think about it as “in a real life situation I can’t afford to miscalculate “ a 90% is a strong starting point and I feel you were given an opportunity to reflect and re-evaluate and this will make you a better ICU nurse and able to handle critically acute patients. YOU GOT THIS!!
Girl this is Soo inspiring and I def want to try this but where did you get those stickers??I feel like they will help me stay so organized 😅 do you know how people can request those or anything? x
The only reason i thought about financial freedom at first was about going casual on my nursing job. Then it became my mindset. I'm so thankful that nirsing taught me that. So whenever im about to make a stupid purchase, i think about how many hours I've to work in that hell hole🤣🤣🤣
Hi Paula 👋 nice cash stuffing and for sharing your debt 😊 Happy Belated 🥳 some people ugh you can’t succeed and learn without failure especially in such a high performance job like Health care. My daughter is in her 5th year of Pharmacy, she’s failed at least 4 classes and countless exams. It doesn’t mean she won’t be a great Dr. it means she will never make those mistakes again, she says she learns thru failure bc better to do it in school and not in the field. Give yourself a hug 🤗 it is hard and there are those of us that understand ❤43:09
