Hey Dmytro great video. I have a little bit offtopic question. I work as a PM in a small (10 people) company. Our team develops high-end websites. We use Gitlab for task management but we want to improve our planning, scope management etc. We plan to sync a PM software with our ongoing gitlab projects. What do you recommend? Jira and Clickup look the best to me but I need some more experienced answer here. Thanks in advance.

Hello, Good question. I would recommend Jira. First of all, chances are high some of your people already know it. It's a tested and proven solution. It integrates with everything. And it scales well. Plus, there are tons of information on how to use Jira. ClickUp is also a good option. If you work with Scrum, then it might be more difficult to kickstart with it.

This video was super helpful in nailing my interview loop and getting my first Big Tech role! Your full course on the ppm framework has allowed me to confidently transition from "accidental" IT project manager to now playing the big leagues.

Hi there, a quick question. I have working experience in customer service and quality analyst and want to step into project management in IT and your videos are exceptional. One more thing i also did my graduation certificate in project management from one of the universities in Canada. I m planning to take your course but first i would like to ask that will it be possible for me to get the job by doing your course only or should i consider doing any additional certifications as well. Thanks in advance and looking forward for your answer

Good question. It all depends on two factors: 1) How much of your experience can you reframe into project management related achievements. Your resume should discribe you as a PM. 2) What level you want to apply for. For entry-level role, you don't need additional certification. If you want to try to jump into mid or senior level at once, most probably, you need PMP. But you should always keep in mind this. To step into IT project management the path is the following: Resume -> Interview -> Job offer.

Dmytro, why did you pass up on the job? I don't think I caught you going in to that in the video.

I was considering two job offers. The compensation at Amazon is fancy. However, when you break it down it appears you get the maximum benefits only in 4 years. And you get much less in the first two years. At the same time, I wanted to see what project management look like in a tech startup. There were other considerations, but the second job offer had more freedom and flexibility.

Looking forward to more interview videos like this. If we have interview for like Technical PMs are you able to assist on a 1-1 basis with stories around Project types. Like I have a couple of interviews coming up soon
