@@erock9883 hope you success on your journey. Actually I was following Jeremy's IT Lab RU-vid video course, and I could say 80% of my preparation was that course which is provided by virtual labs(The other 20% came from OCG and exam dumps), so honestly I didn't build many labs on my own, and I think you don't need building your own for the CCNA, there is a plenty online courses out there with pre-build packet tracer labs for CCNA.
I injured my spine back in December 2019 working in a factory. Then the pandemic came. After that I caught a work from home sales job on the phone. That's coming close very soon. Just know that all these IT start up's are crap and you'll work like a dog no matter which path you decide go down. The money in IT generally more than unskilled manual labor depending on your location. It could change your life. Just know that if you don't produce or if your bosses don't like you/the way you work, they'll terminate you. Currently the remote positions are disappearing, most people are now either hybrid or back in office 100%. That's not to say that you cannot find remote, it just takes a little longer and you have to know which position you're looking for and where to find it. I'd encourage you to get out of manual labor asap, a lot of us are forced out due to injury and will live the rest of our lives in chronic pain.
Environment play a major role in commitment to learning. You can have all the intentions in the world but your circle decides how far you go on that journey.
This video was incredibly well-thought out and put together. You have a great way of inspiring and challenging people to achieve great things. Going to study for and take the CCNA exam, I know I can do well. Thank you for providing these resources, my man. You seem like a cool guy
Thank you Essa for the insight and the courage to face CCNA 200-301 exams, I'm a beginner and absolutely new to networking but I am bold enough to face it now after listening to this video.
Gonna just go ahead and schedule this exam and quit waiting in fear. I have faith in myself and I know I can do this . This video is helpful and motivating 💯 thanks
Go for it Tim, you got this. It doesn’t matter if you fail, there is always a next time!! I believe in you, and I can’t wait for you to share with us the great news soon!!
I've been studying for the CCNA for a month and a little struggle with it..but your video really encourage me!! I'm planning to take the Exam within few weeks, it gives me the motivation and positivity. Thank you
Thank you for this video it was extremely informative and instilled more confidence in me about going for my CCNA certification! Committing to three hours per day was also great advice, thanks for all of your help!
I would just like to say that this video is definitely very encouraging for people just entering this industry. However, there is one important truth that getting the certification will definitely get you in the door for the interviews, but understanding the basics inside out, is the most important thing as it is with learning anything new, since that is what is gauged in interviews. Personally speaking i would suggest only two resources, wendell odoms books and boson exsim, in my opinion are the only two resources required. Really good job with the video though. Cheers!
Hey, I got a question for you man. I passed my CCNA, I have been applying for jobs for around 2 months but nobody got me for an interview. I also have a degree in digital systems. May you please guide me where I should apply for jobs? Thank you in advance.
Thank you so much for this video. You answered ALL my questions. Your nickname must be Eisenstein because it's obvious you are a genius 🤓 Please keep creating theses types of videos. By the way, I am 58 years old and have been studying for a year.
Hey! Essa . Thank you for your advices . I'm currently studying CCNA and fell into your video at right time. I will let you know when I'll get my exam.
I got my exam scheduled in two weeks, I'm extremely nervous and just searching as much info and help i can get to understand what I'm going into, i do know what I'm doing in networking, but there's always that small doubt and fear we all get before and exam. I'll update after the exam, thanks for this video, it's really helpful
Came here for motivation. I've been studying for the CCNA since August. It has taken a little longer because Ive been making sure I fully understood the topic before moving on. I am using Neil's course on udemy, my college course that uses cisco netacad, which gives a voucher for the CCNA. Alot of labbing in college and PT, I read volume 1 of todd lammles book. But started using Neil's course more. I want the certification so bad. Im already over halfway through my studies. I kind of want to speed up my studies due to the fact, I'll have a month off from college, and for my job, in the tech industry. Im off christmas break. So Im not sure if I want to start from the top and follow the 6 week method, or continue going. Either way at some point. I will be starting over to review. It's a video course . So it wont be bad. Plus using Boson test sim.
I feel inspired after watching this video. I'm about to take my CCNA examination for the next 6 weeks. It remove doubts in myself, and gives me eagerness to pursue this more. I'll be back on this comment section after I pass the exam🙏🙏
I got my aCCNA way back in the day the same way as you... I just bought a ton of books I bought a CD that just asked questions and I would pause the CD and try to answer them that's about $10 and the rest I just studied on my own every possible moment no TV no games just almost 100% of my free time was on my CCNA.
Hi there! Great video!! You've just earned a new subscriber!!☺ I'm studying for the ccna right now, and I'm going to incorporate everything you addressed in this video into my exam prep. Thanks and keep up the good work!
For a beginner, the amount of reading and lab work it takes to pass CCNA it is unrealistic to pass in 6 short weeks and most importantly retain this newly learned information. This exam takes months of lab work and reading.
I don't have a date set for my test yet. So little background with me. My neighbor told me about the ccna years ago and I watched videos a couple times trying to learn it but felt like I couldn't do it or I'd get bored. I told my brother about the ccna and he went and took a college course and now has his ccna. He is living my dream! There has been a fire lit in me and all I can think about is getting my ccna. I spend about 3 to 5 hours a day hard studying then the rest is spent listening to other people just talk about ccna. I listen to it in the car and everything. I hope I can do it this time
It is true. I started the CCNA course through my college which is motly self thought with work given by the professor and I have been doing labs and videos for the past 3 weeks now and we only meet twice a week but the professor doesn't really help but I feel I am teaching myself alot. I honestly do minimum 8-12 hours daily and I feel I am barely playing catch up. I do feel however that it will pay off in the long run. Hopefully I will take my exam mid August I will report how I did. Very good video. I honestly do not want to see anything else for I feel I will get discouraged. I could see that Essa was honest in his video and will just keep it in back of my mind.
Essa, you dog you did it again! Making it so easy for me to understand the process and know what i'm getting myself in. I don't even feel like i have to study much for the test now xD
Hey bro, just finished my ITIL v4 Foundation last week, looking at the CCNA -Ive started studying using CBTNuggets this week. Thanks for the video .I will be back with a review once I pass-I hope to be able to do it in a month max.GOOD LUCK TO ANY ONE ELSE THATS GONNA GO FOR IT
Hi, I will take the test in a couple of weeks, so, please could you tell me, what are the format of questions ? and how many questions are? regards!!!!
@@danylocastellon5989 I had 102 questions for 120 minutes. Lots of “Show IP Route” logs that have you determine the next route for a given network. Be sure you know Wireless APs , network automation, and security.
I received my CCNA and other certificates, and later in my 8 years in the field are not necessary spend 5k just on certifications. Just get the knowledge and apply it on the field, Employers just need to know if you're able to do it. Save your money. It's Math either you know it or not. I am making 80k in my one job and 20k in my part. Save your money. Systems you want to learn Cisco, Fortinet, juniper, sonicwall & few microsoft applications for infrastructure. Also purchase an IEEE standard book, this help more over of what applies in the real world. Don't buy into there certification. You also don't need an 4 year apprenticeship program, lol. You can learn it within 2 years.
Thank you for these uplifting words. I have 3 yrs experience in troubleshooting Ciscos and I don't feel like I know enough to pass the CCNA. Yet your words dissuade me a bit from this view.
Thank you .. Starting of on the journey of CCNA Cert and this is the first video . Will post back once i complete the Cert . Wish me luck . Thanks for the information will start with these
Hi, it's honestly impressive how you passed it with a great score and only having 6 weeks. I feel embarassed haha, I just completed the syllabus sometime ago, and it almost took me 7 months or so :( love your dedication and motivation. and I thought 3 hours were less because i was going for that too.. :P Anyways, Idk when but i'm planning to schedule it soon just after i have enough practice and revision :). I'll update when schedule it and pass hopefully!
@@Dreambig6636 not yet ;( i keep getting lazy and slackin' ... it's just not of my interest but cuz i have to.. but thanks for asking, this gives me a bit more of a push
I remember doing CCNA back in 2007 and it was 2 exams, 90% + pass score on each and it was around £80. How can they charge $300 for an exam, it's outrageous considering it benefits them as well as you that you're certified. Having said that it's a good certification to get and you really learn a lot.
you are a legend my man i am more confident in myself passing CCNA now after watching this video then i ever have the entire time i was thinking of getting CCNA ive watched this video multiple times though lol
I just scheduled my CCNA test for Cisco Live in 2023! I went in 2022 for the first time and hadn’t realized I needed to schedule it before I left, so I’m a year behind when I should’ve taken it. Great video, lots of helpful info, now to dig into the material!
Thank you for sharing... Very very helpful. I just finished Cisco Network Academy. I have been using Packet Tracer primarily but I like GNS3's features better. I need some help setting up GNS3 on my new PC to do some more labs before I sit for the exam.
this video helped me a lot; i was considering going for a cybersecurity online bootcamp that teaches you about the field and different operating systems (not a cert-prep program it says) but the extended course is offered at a college-tuition price which did not seem worth it at all after taking the short intro course. after hours of me leaving class and having to fill in the gaps with resources online, i definitely will not be sticking with the bootcamp. great video !
Thank you Josh, as long as you have a plan in mind, you good to go. If I got it, and everyone else did, you definitely can. Let me know if I can help you with anything
ur the man sir..i love the positivity.. im dislexic as fuck.. probably going to ask for test accommodations, i hope this comment helps someone else ask for theirs.
Advice that worked for me. Ask your employee to pay for some video course like cbt nuggets or it pro tv, you will be surprised how often they will say yes. I did it, few of my friends did it. And it is free lol
It sounds like CCNA's make pretty good money. I like the sound of that. But cyber security makes more and seems more interesting to me. However, networking is more fundamental so I need to start with networking first before I even think about going cyber security.
Hi, thanks for the info. I have one important question about the exam: Are there questions where you need to access the CLI yourself and type the CISCO commands? thanks
