You are a teacher and professor! I learn something new every time I watch your videos. I have some of the Batis lenses for my Sony a7 IV you recommended and am completely happy with the images created. Great video, keep up the good work!

Thank you kindly. I'm happy the videos are informative and helpful! Of course I must note I'm not an actual College Professor, but do teach photography full time. 😊

Great vid. One question, why - -EV rather than just changing the shutter speed? Just curious.

Because I'm using aperture priority. Changing shutter speed doesn't change the brightness or darkness of the image in this. That is done using the EV. I would need to be in manual for shutter speed to work that way.

Hi Kenneth! First of all I love your work! Very inspirational and you really push me to get out there and shoot! With that said, I was hoping to ask a couple of questions. I am actually going to visit NYC at the end of May with my family and I was wondering if you had any tips for capturing photos of iconic landmarks with a 6 person group? Obviously I would need a tripod for that so that I can be included. Any other pro tips on maybe composition, or camera settings, maybe even different angles to capture the grandness of those landmarks while including my family in the photos? I will be carrying a 35mm and an 85mm. Also this kind of segways into my next question. As far as safety goes and carrying around a Sony A7iii around NYC, are there any tips for carrying around gear in the city? Maybe things to consider and avoid? Thank you in advance!

Unless you have the distance the 35 wouldn’t be wide enough for many locations in the city for 6 people in the frame, without the camera being further away (which I would not advise doing). Some do it but not something I will ever recommend. Being aware of surroundings, not looking lost and knowing where you are are the things to know. Getting familiar with the train lines and streets is a must. If you look like a tourist then you stick out to criminals. Easy targets.

@@professorhineschoice I appreciate the tips! Maybe I will look into a 24mm!
